Grand Anse Heaven
"This was our first trip to the caribbean and we were not disappointed. Our family of four with two teenage daughters had the holiday of a lifetime. Grenada is a wonderful place, a caribbean gem. Still relatively untouched by commercial tourism but sufficient to make your stay comfortable and refreshing. The Grenadian people are genuinely friendly and welcoming. Mount Cinnamnon is a wonderful place to stay, situated at one end of Grand Anse beach the amenties are excellent. Ranging from the Beach cabana, with extremely comfortable sun beds, hammocks, sailing and fantastic Pina Coladas to the accommodation which is extremely spacious and has magnificent bright and tasteful decor with fantastic balconies looking out over Grand Anse Bay. A perfect setting for breakfast or an evening meal. We stayed in a villa which was clean, tremendously well looked after and had all the necessary accoutrements required for our stay. The staff were extremely helpful and the Verandah Restaurant at Mt Cinnamon gave us the best meal we had in our fortnight on the island. Mt Cinnamon is perfectly situated, close to both beach, airport and shops with fantastic views towards St George's. The diving with Dive Grenada situated near the beach cabana is a fantastic experience and well recommended with friendly professional and informative staff. The accommodation, the people, the weather (32 Deg most days), the sea, the surroundings and the food gave us two weeks of utter bliss and we will be back. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and would certainly recommend Mount Cinnamon to anyone wishing to stay in Grenada."

Mount Cinnamon Villa - The nicest base we have ever experienced!
"Mt Cinnamon offers couples the perfect opportunity to relax and soak up the splendours of this island, situated in the most idyllic and peaceful location at the southern end of Grand Anse beach, where it nestles peacefully and discreetly on the hillside, overlooking the deep blue of the Caribbean. The apartments â a scattering of pretty white Spanish-style villas are tastefully decorated, in summer-themed arty design with white washed walls, cool tiled floors and classy spacious verandas, where the sunset can be admired at the end of a busy day. We can only comment on the 1 bedroom villa we experienced (there are other villas for larger numbers) which was deceptively spacious offering 2 bathroom areas, a roomy lounge, spacious kitchen area and comfortable balcony space. To complete the luxury the villa was fully equipped with everything you could want â a fully equipped kitchen for the self caterer, well stocked bathrooms (toiletries), tourist information, TV, music system, deposit safe, mobile phone with inclusive credit and ample storage. The bedroom offers the most comfortable double bed we have ever slept in - with a mattress deserving special appreciation! The bedroom, as with the rest of the villa, comes with air conditioning, another balcony area and ample storage capacity. The grounds around Mt Cinnamon are exceptionally kept and include the pretty green, as you approach the beach. The trees attract a variety of bird life including the lovely Humming Bird which we enjoyed watching as we walked through the grounds. The staff are forever smiling and greeting you as your wonder by showing genuine interest in your day. Their fresh and attentive service will be remembered for a long time. Mt Cinnamonâs location is ideal. Itâs a 10 minute walk to the shopping complex down the road â offering all conviences from supermarkets to gift shops. Itâs also a 2 minute walk to the longest established dive shop â excellent for divers wishing to spontaneously check out their daily trips on offer, and it is a 15 minute stroll to some decent restaurants, bus routes to nearby attractions and even a secluded cove tucked away in the quiet bay next door. The resort offered us a truly luxurious experience from the moment we arrived paying attention to detail with the little things like a complimentary arrival drink with a smile, luggage assistance via their electric buggy!, and a welcome bottle of chilled wine awaiting us on the balcony ! What better way to start a holiday! The views from the apartment, the deep sleeps, the friendly staff, the exceptional on-site restaurant (which provided us without doubt the finest meal on the island), and theâ easeâ this unique place provided, contributed to a very memorable and effortless holiday experience. This truly is a 5 star resort in every respect."

Absolue Bliss with stunning views
"Having spent many years coming to Grenada and staying at various hotels on the island we chose Mt. Cinnamon as its situation is close to the beach and to the town. We took a 3 bedroom villa, so everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The space in the villa was just right, comfortable sitting area, great kitchen with the SMEG fridge and wonderful terrace with stunning views! Everything was there, including DVD player and satellite TV - important with teenagers! If we wanted to eat out there is the excellent restaurant at the clubhouse or many other restaurants within walking distance. If we decided to stay in sitting on the terrace at night seeing the lights of St. Georges in the distance was just magical. The trees frogs singing in the trees and the warmth floating over us, what more could you ask for! During the day we could go to the beach and swim snorkel or play with the kayaks and hobbie cats, knowing that we were being watched by Andre or whomever was on duty. Otherwise we could laze on the sun loungers being brought the occasional rum punch from the bar at the Beach Cabana. I could go on - it was bliss. We could do what we wanted or decide to be pampered by the hotel staff. A wonderful place for an easy relaxing holiday."

Missing Mount Cinnamon already
"What a treat of a place! My friends and I were in Grenada as part of an annual getaway. When we showed up in Grenada at the hotel we had booked online, we weren't happy about the location or vibe so we went on a hunt for another hotel. We literally stumbled upon Mount Cinnamon while walking along the gorgeous Grand Anse beach. Laurence, the manager, was absolutely gracious - she showed us a suite and we were immediately sold. Such well-appointed rooms, with views that are both peaceful and breathtaking. The location was perfect for us - still on Grand Anse, but towards one end - making the foot traffic of people walking along the beach less constant. More than that, though, the entire Mount Cinnamon staff made us feel special and welcome and the entire vacation was just lovely."

brilliant! beds and bar fantastic
"2 bed villa. Fantastic views of the beach and harbour. friendly service. Sheldon best barman on the island. Relaxing and laid back resort.Decor very chic and modern. Plenty of restaurants very close. Private beach cabana on Grande Anse beach is heaven on earth with great bar and barbecue. Sea warm clear and great for snorkelling with up to 20 pelicans fishing in front of you. Local supermarket so can fill up the huge smeg fridge with local beers.Gym has very modern equipment and main town of St Georges a decent 4 mile run away. The rate stated is for the whole villa which we found perfect for 4 adults but there is a sofa bed in sitting room too. The 7 sisters waterfalls are a must-you can jump into them culminating in a 35 foot leap into a rockless pool-exhilarating"

Fantastic holiday at Mount Cinnamon
"We stayed in a 2 bed villa with absolutely amazing views out to St George's. The villas are perfect for a family with children as they have all the facilities you could ever need for self catering, but all the up side of being part of a resort if you want to take it easy. The food in the main restaurant is our of this world - absolutely fantastic. We ate there on several occasions and every dish was wonderful. Worth every penny (well dollar)"

Would recommend it to others
"Overall this property has huge potential to be fantastic. Located in a perfect position over looking grand anse beach, we had some amazing views of the most popular part of the island. We stayed in a two bedroom property which is ideally suited to self catering, with the kitchens offering all the cooking and dining equipment, including utensils you could ever need - all in first class condition. The restaurant now called Verandah and under new management offers consistently good food with great wine advice from the only trained Sommelier on the Island, we had a good time one evening sampling some of the most amazing French wines. Rooms are very modern, clean and bright and the daily maid service was faultless. In general staff are attentive and really take the time to offer insider knowledge of the Island. In writing a balanced review, we did experience some minor problems while staying at Mount Cinnamon and you have to take into consideration the property in its current format is less than a year old ...but they were addressed by management in a very personal and professional manner. I would also recommend a trip to Mount Edgecombe as members and guests at any of Peter de Savaryâs destinations will have access to Mount Edgecombe for a plantation tour, a swim and a delicious traditional lunch. We had a very peaceful and restful time here and the complimentary buffet lunch was an unexpected touch. Being frequent travellers to Grenada we have stayed or eaten in a lot of the hotels on the Island, but we would stay at Mount Cinnamon again and would recommend it to others."

"i stayed at this hotel for a weekend in march, i class myself as quite well travelled and i do not think i have stayed anywhere where i quite felt so relaxed. i stayed in a hacienda room and my view from the huge balcony was heaven, they call it millon doller view and now i know why, it was breath taking. the room was huge it was more like a one bed villa witha huge lounge, kitchen and bedroom. i felt like a princess you have to jump up to get to the huge bed. the staff were lovely really helpful and extremley friendly the hotel manager was so welcoming, he would always come over and talk to us. down on the beach house andree made the best cocktails and smoothies. iwill definatly go back to mount cinn i loved it"

"I stayed at Mount Cinnamon Feb this year and loved it. It is so rare to find a property in the Caribbean where they find the right balance between self-catering properties and full hotel facilities but I think Mount Cinnamon has done this. The rooms and villas are huge and have everything you would need in them including very cool Smeg fridge /freezers. The views are amazing from the villas and the beach is one of the best in the Caribbean. The best thing about the place is the staff who made our stay so special. If you get the chance to do the hike to seven Sisters falls it is well worth it and Mount Edgecombe for lunch is something not to be missed. If only to swim in the most amazing infinity pool. It is not a property that will suit everyone but for people who love the Caribbean for its' colour, charm and people it will not let you down."
