"Honestly, if you did not enjoy your stay here, something is wrong. This is one great resort. Everything about it is amazing from the Staff (Chocolate)(Alci)(etc.) from the food which was great every night and the people, whether people also vacationing, or just the locals coming in for a day pass. everyone is friendly. Not one person there was rude at all! If you want to have a good time with great people great entertainment, food and meet new friends, Go here. You'll have an awesome time. I know I did. A Great Time
"I went for two weeks June 19 thru July 3...
Although I did travel to other parts of the country, I mostly stayed at Paradise Beach...
I'll be quick...if you want more advise or info...just email me...
The room was musty but comfortable and the A/C was excellent. TV sucked...which was actually good because I spent more time enjoying the country. If you're expecting to use your cell...remember to call your carrier and have them activate their international plan on your number...so that it works...hey, you never know.
The food was good...and constant...I never go overboard with the food because I'm there to enjoy myself...not eat myself sick. But if it's your way of getting your money's worth...you'll be able to eat eat eat...
The Drinks were fine...seen some folks complaining on here...but if you want fine wine...go to a winery...not an all inclusive place...beer was cold...drinks were as charged up as you wanted.
Crazy Moon dance place was fine...ah~~ to be 17 again...
The shows were not my cup of tea...but people seem to enjoy them...so who am I to criticize? I found other things to do...like gamble...
The casino is small...during the weekend you get the idea that some of the people gambling are pros...they don't like it if you're just having fun...call a manager and tell them that you're getting the evil eye from them...and then sit back and laugh as security kicks them out~~
Which brings me to the weekends...gets very crowded...Puerto Ricans and Dominicans by the flock...GREAT people and GREAT time...mujeres muy bonita...but it gets crowded...so if you're not going for 7 days or not interested in meeting beautiful women...you might want to skip the weekend...
The pool was cool...and I didn't see a lack of chairs...even when it was ~~mad~~ packed
The Beach is awesome...be nice to the people who walk up to you to sell things...they're doing a job...and they're all very nice....(get them something to drink from the bar...they will love you)
I had a great time...I felt at home with the people...I did a lot in the two weeks I was there...it would take too long to write it out...
contact me and I'll be happy to share...
One more thing...I travel a lot...the one thing that always gets me the best service is TIP TIP TIP...especially in a place like DR where the Dollar is so strong...cost you very little to get waiters jumping to serve you.
I'll be going back soon..."

"This hotel was like a bad nightmare. Wanted to leave after the first night. Our room (which was acceptable with the exception of it constantly being wet and mildewy) was immediately behind the nighttime "entertainment" stage. Every night until 11pm, obnoxious techno music blared and a microphoned host literally shouting into the microphone (despite the fact that the 12 person audience sat 10 feet away), rattled our hotel room windows. It was so loud, we couldn't: watch TV, read, hold a conversation or even think about going to sleep until it ended at 11:00pm. Music started again at 8:30 am, continuing throughout the day and eve. The front desk personnel were rude. We never got shampoo and had to ask twice for towels. The restaurant, Michealangelo's, was a joke. The beaches were literally covered in plastic cups and garbage from the hotel bars with local vendors harrassing you until you just couldn't take it any longer (even worse at the hotel's shopping village). The only redeeming thing about this hotel was the food. The buffet tried hard to please all and the food was good quality. Other than that, this was the least relaxing vacation I've ever been on. If you think you're going to relax in "Paradise", think again. You'll be awake and dancing to techno 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with nightly shows playing the same 3 songs over and over and over and over, drunk men shouting from the pool at 3am with not a security guard in sight, rooms that never dry out, a rude front desk and taxi drivers that charge US $20 for a ride that should cost $1.50."

Save your money and go to Jamaica
"A group of 5 of us went to the Paradise Beach Club and Casino in Puerto Plata last year. I hate to say it, but the only thing about the entire trip we enjoyed was the beach. The resort was old and run down, the staff were far from helpful -if not rude, the food was awful (unless you like lentils everyday), the tour operators are only out to swindle you , the locals were dirty and several women complained about being practically attacked by local men on the beach. All in all, I wish I could have left after the second day! I will never go back to the Dominican Republic., but I can't wait to go back to SuperClubs in Jamaica. The Dominicans were the laziest people I have ever seen and only want to take you "trinket" shopping."

the best ever....................
"The best place ever::: for people that know how to have fun of course. You get everything, tennis, golf, casino, drinks, girls and a lot of nice weather. The disco roks, and the music it's mixed, so everyone gets what the like. Now a couple of tips for the guys. Once you get there. first thing "FORGET WHERE YOU COMING FROM'. You are in D.R and you're there not for luxury. Forget the "caviar" and enjoy the stay. The food is better than McDonalds and I'm sure anyone can get along with that. Now rent a car. It's very cheap and you'll need it. To find a cheap car, go to the city. (they'll reap you off on the resort.) Just to get an idea, we paid like 20 US a day for a convertible 4*4. now the car might be not in a good shape but WHO CARES right. To have some real fun forget the resort. Most of the girls hang around with the locals. Sorry ladies but that's what I saw :) (are you alone.... all inclusive baby...) So get the car and go in puerto plata. Ask for the "bulevard" That's where all the good spots are. Bars, night clubs restaurants and of course, hundreds of local girls. And believe me, those women are hottttttt.....Mulheres latinos..baby That's all I need to tell you cause once you meet a local they'll show you everything, from nice beaches to country side. Well I hope everyone'll have fun. ciaops Don't forget to bring some Brugal and some Monte Cristo cigars . They cost almost nothing"

******** of the World
"If you regularly dine on Donkey @$$ and Pig vomit, and you regularly take trips to 3rd world countries and trips to ghettos, then this is definitely the place for you. Other than the food, and the horrible churning youre insides will undergo, due to whatever mysterious ingredients are added as filler to the alcohol, and food ( I didnt like the food ( incase you havent noticed)) and no bottled water, and the fact that the entire security crew is made up of three white goose's (geese) that just sit around all day by the entrance to the casino, and the fact that I think i got hexed by one of the locals I encountered on one of the trips we took, he still haunts my dreams, ( really I only had one bad dream ) but I believe it was the local, some sort of sorcery no doubt, In retrospect I had fun, but will never return, next time I want to go somewhere hot, ill go to florida, because in order to stay healthy whille consuming so much alcohol, and so much sun, youre liver and stomach need back-up, ( good food ) this resort's menu offers no support, and youre liver and stomach will lose the battle, i felt like that guy from the movie monte cristo, stuck in that horrible prison, after my visit to paradise beach, I could relate to how unhealthy he must have been due to the prisoner's diet he was forced to endure, but maybe its just me, the death rate seems to be reasonably low for guests at paradise, so if you have no money, and have a big suitcase to pack plenty of food in, then go to paradise beach, have fun"

"Easily the best vacation I have ever had... I have travelled extensively throughout the Carribean and I can easily say this is THE place to be. The hotel is beautiful and the entertainment staff is incredible. Meeting Julio, Chocolate, and David is what made this vacation so fantastic. The nightly entertainment and trips to the disco will never be forgotten. are you alone....? te amo, te amo...Food was fantastic, shows were incredible, especially the water show and the fire blowing. I'll be returning soon...muchos besos!"

a great vacation spot!
"we just got back from a wonderful 6 day vacation at the paradise. my husband and i enjoyed every moment of our trip even the rain on the first day didn't damper our fun. the food is ok the buffet has many choices some better than others, but the resturant michealangelos was great and the edens grill was fantastic! the beach is always clean i have never seen so many workers actually work all the time . the resort is super clean. the kikos team was one of the best reasons for attending this resort. they are amazing full of energy and fun! they will keep you active and laughing. the nightly entertainment was always fun. we went horseback riding and snorkling which was amazing .the rooms are small but kept clean the maids do a good job. the disco crazy moon was fun. The staff was very nice and always ready to help. we actually won a little in the casino .the only thing that would make it better is if they advertise this country to more americans they don't know what they are missing much nicer and safer than jamacia. anyway a+ vacation cant wait to come back next year!"

This places ROCKS!!!!!
"After reading some reviews and booking online with no "real" knowledge as to where I was taking my family for March break, I was apprehensive as to what I had gotten us into. Upon arrival at the hotel I realised that my fears were all in vain. The hotel was beautiful, clean and beyond all expectations. My daughters (11yrs and 15yrs)immediately rushed to the pool and then the beach and we almost didn't see them from that moment on!!! Kiko's team made everything GREAT for them and that made it GREAT for my husband and I:) Georgina did a fantastic job braiding the girls hair. Every evening the mini kids disco was a great hit with all ages(Thanks Chocolate and Frankie)and then the shows after that were fun entertainment. Dancing to the Amhsa Marina theme song was a hi-light every evening as well as dancing to Son Latinos. The food at the buffet was amazing. Everything was fresh and always being topped up...the only slow part was getting someone to bring you some water to drink. The Italian restaurant was ordinary but the servers were extremely attentive. The Eden grill in the evening served a fantastic meal too. With regards to the rooms...the beds were queen size, the sheets changed according to how you wanted them done, the bathroom was old but clean and hot water was in abundance. There was plenty of space and the windows were the width of the wall and opened out fully. The air conditioner worked 110%. No matter what time we left the room it was always done bythe time we came back. The gift shop in the main lobby had good prices on last minute items and the hotel exchange bureau gave good rates. The bartenders put on a fun mixing trick whenever you order the daily special. The vendors on the beach only approach you if you make eye contact or wave them over. The security guards are extremely discreet and you only notice them if you happen to 'bump' into them. The beach is cleaned every day. The snorkeling outing through Kiko's is a really good deal. Even though you go to Ssequently the fish feed from your hands better than for the later groups. Peter takes phenomenal underwater photos of you and the family for only $15. You should also take your own 'throw-away' waterproof camera. Another trip through Robin (who WAS there when he said he would be there)was the safari trip that ended at the waterfalls. This is a must to do but be prepared to be pulled, pushed and shoved up the rock/cliff sides. Try parasailing...the girls went up together and banana boating is so much fun. The "Orange Huts" at the end of the beach is also the flea market. Be prepared to haggle and don't be afraid to say no and walk away. They are not always the bargains they say they are. One word about the wood, check it very carefully for termite holes. If there are more than 2 or 3 don't buy it as Canada customs could very well confiscate it when you try to go home. Wood is a plant remember? If you have to call home, go to the mall, better still use the internet. Only 40 pesos for 30 minutes. Overall, this was the best, most relaxing yet funfilled family vacation we have ever gone on. Can't wait 'til next year."

Not fantastic, but not bad.....
"I had a great time at the Paradise Beach Club. The food actually had taste, the staff was friendly and helpful, and it has a perfect location in Playa Dorado. The best: The staff is ALWAYS cleaning. Someone is always picking up glasses, bussing tables, or making sure the beach is free of seaweed. You just have to walk down the beach to Jack Tarr and Nero to see that not every resort is so clean. The worst: The rooms are small but the eco is livable -- you don't take a Caribbean vacation to sit in your room! If you do, don't stay here. Save your money and go to a nice hotel with a pool where you live. If you want a clean resort with good food and drinks on a gorgeous beach, stay here. If you want the Hilton, stay there."

"This was a great holiday for us - very relaxing . We could easily have settled in for the second week- We have never stayed at a 5 star so dont know the comparison . We were well satisfied -
took the spa day at the Jasmine - a good experience - did not realise that they were supporting the school and town so would have taken more money to make a donation Would like to know more about people taking school supplies - the school we visited was overun with donations- would like to know what they really need apart from money of course--I asked the teacher and she suggested cleaning supplies "

"my friend and i visted the paradise beach in may and found it to be one of the best breaks we have had. A very relaaxing, laid back location with the friendliest people you could hope to meet. our room was lovely, decor was tasteful and modern, maids cleaned the room everyday and towels were replaced everyday with clean ones. food was good in all 3 resturaunts with the buffet resturaunt being the best and with the most variety. its worth keeping in mind that you have to reserve your evening meal every morning or before 1pm. all in all this is a lovely resort and i would go back in a minute."
