What a Fantastic villa!!
"We are staying Aston Legend Sanur "Now!!" and will leave to ubut, today..3 times after...
This villa is very fantastic luxury villa, and located excellent site, and has great food, and lovely friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
The staff was very friendly and lovely. They gave us a complimentary 15-minute back massage upon arrival. We didn't know that lucky^^ "Thanks~"
The villa has a luxury restaurant, the name is "Caramel"..If you want in villa luxury dining, they will offer "Caramel"'s fine food...and with fantastic candle light and flower pool..So fantastic!!
The villa has a large public pool and private pool, dining area and TV lounge in villa. The environment in the villa was great as it was quiet and there was privacy. Breakfast can be brought to the villa upon request.
We really enjoyed our stay in Aston Legend Villas Sanur and will definitely be back. Aston legend is best of Bali!!"

Incredible stay at the Aston Legend
"What an amazing place this is. The staff cannot do enough for you and really, really make the experience.
We stayed in 3 different places in Bali and this was by far the best. A small complex of less then ten villas the personal service is amazing. The huge smile you are greated with and greeting you by name every day. Nothing is too much trouble. Suri and Weti I think you deserve a huge pay rise you make the place!
Although all the other staff are great too.
The villas themselves are lovely just as in the pictures on their website.
They also have their own reasonably priced resturant with room service also possible. The location also good right in the middle of Sanur and 5 minutes to the beach.
The only downside I can think of is that I thought Sanur was a little lacking in nightlife but as it is only 25 mins and 3.50 euro in a taxi to the crazy whirlwind that is Kuta its really not a problem.
Another small tip - as everywhere in Bali remember to bargain over the price of the room -we got it for a lot less than advertiesed on the website.
Overall I throughly recommend the Aston Legend"

The Secret of Happiness!
"From the moment you enter Sanur's Aston Legend, the attention to absolute detail is remarkable! Walking through their restaurant, you enter and register, not in a regular lobby, but within a spacious garden setting next to their outside dining and pool area. From this moment you know you've arrived at your home-away-from-home for your vacation of peace and happiness. The staff move through their daily well-coordinated duties with due care and regard for your privacy and surrounds. The presented meals, drinks and entertainment are a pleasure ... and in the best Bali style. Our villa was so special, complete with an outdoor shower, DVD and stereo system, a very large 'fridge with ample ice-making ... and there was complimentary morning and afternoon tea, if we desired - the secret of happiness! (Oh, and this was our second stay)"

Aston Legend is Phenominal
"Just after picking up our baggage we went outside where our driver was awaiting for us with a sign. Just thirty minutes from the airport me and my new bride had no idea what we were in for. After arriving to the hotel we were promptly greeted, our bags were taken to our villa and we were shown the grounds first hand by hotel staff. Once we entered our room we spent the first ten minutes in awe. Pictures cannot do this justice, words cannot explain the quality of the food and service. Every detail is accounted for in presentation whether it be the food or the grounds. This is much better than staying at a large resort, being that it is our honeymoon, I could not have dreamed of a better place to stay. Aston Legend takes accomodations to another level. I travel quite frequently and I have never received such personal attention. The staff treats us as if we are the owners. The spa is wonderful!!! All of the food is exquisite however you must try the caramel seafood soup, and the beef carpaccio with the cream sauce all over it! To sum it up our stay has been remarkable! The only thing bad is that I can't live here! I do have to run because we are about to have a romantic dinner prepared for us in our villa with a pool full of rose petals and set by candlelight! If you are looking for a reasonable price, awesome food, a great spa, wonderful service and impecable grounds then this is your place. We will be back!"

Great Villas if you get your booking
"Booked and paid to stay at the Aston in March 2008 as we had enjoyed our stay there in 2007 in a 1 bedroom villa. We always stay in Sanur for the last 7 days of our holiday for rest and relaxtion.
Arrived on Sunday at 2pm to be told there were no rooms and we would have to be moved, I was not happy and explained we always stay in Sanur and they would have to find something, we eventually ended up at the Emerald Villas for 1 night and then the Golden Villas for 2 nights, both absolutely beautiful but the packing and unpacking not terribly relaxing.
I would recommend the Aston if you got your room but after this experience I think I will be looking for something else next year, the property was new in 2007 but I now notice the tiles and the mirror in the bathroom are quite marked, the shower area needs some work, and the service we experienced last year is lacking. Yes they have provided a free dinner and an afternoon of transport but it does not compensate for the three days of moving."

very nice hotel
"We found this wonderful hotel just next to the beach when we looked for a place with privacy to stay. From all hotels in the area this one was the most charming when one is looking for a private pool and just a place to take a time out and hang around. It is rather expansive but you can bargain with the staff. We loved the outdoor living room and the private pool."

Absolutely loved Aston Villas
"These villas are absolutely stunning - beautifully furnished, each in their own compound, we had a 3 bed - the "plunge pool" was like our own swimming pool. The restaurant served delicious food, reasonably priced and the staff were extremely helpful - they couldn't do enough for us. Our children adored them. We couldn't recommend it more. Having read an previous review mentioning a "strip mall" outside, I was concerned but shouldn't have been. Outside the villas are a string of shops and stalls selling the usual Balinese fare as well as some cheap eateries. You will get the usual offers for transport. There is also a spa within the compound (which is really well lanscaped) and we all really enjoyed the treatments we had there, again reasonably priced. The beach is 5-10 mins walk but it is easier to take the shuttle. We had friends staying at the next door hotel which made it easier/quicker to access the beach. We were travelling as a family with young children and so the villa suited us really well - I had planned to do some cooking but as the food in the villas and outside was so good and reasonable, it wasn't worth the trip to the supermarket to buy ingredients!! Breakfast was always excellent and the restaurant also produced things off the menu for the children. Something to note if you do come as a family is that the bedrooms (in our villa) are all separate rooms leading from an open seating area and kitchen (lovely to sit outside at night). If you have children that wake up at night (!), you need to go out of your room and across the living area to their room. We used a monitor (uk with adaptors) for this as we were not sure that we would have heard them had they woken up because we had our airconditioning on and the villas and rooms are very spacious."

Astonishing Experience @ Aston!
"As a family with three daughters age 5-10, we usually stayed @ a hotel resort when we visited Bali. This time, we'd like to try a private villa. With similar rates with 2 connecting rooms, we can get a villa with two bedrooms complete with a dining room, a living room and a kitchenette! Not to mention a private pool and our own garden!
After carefully browsing and contacting our top ten choices (located in Seminyak and Sanur), then we decided to choose the Aston Legend Villa Sanur for 3 nights stays, 16-19 Mar 08 before continuing our stay @ Ubud for another 2 nights.
We booked via a local (Bali-based) travel agent.
The villas are fantastic!
There are 6 villas, 3 with one bedroom, 1 with two and 1 with three bedrooms.
We stayed @ Jempiring, Villa no5. It's a three bedroom villa and they locked one bedroom, as we reserved for 2 bedrooms.
The pool is huge and clean.
Every morning many birds bathing in the pool side. How lovely!
The furnitures, bedrooms, kitchens are great.
Huge bathroom with an open roof. A huge bathtub.
Everything is perfect.
We have breakfast in villa and high tea with local snacks.
The common pool is huge and clean.
The meals @ the Caramel cafe is not bad. I love the calamari and springrolls. The price is reasonable and every Monday nite there is a cultural dance in front of the pool with local little dancers. Quite nice!
Many food places around the area.
We also had our private pool to be filled with flower petals. Really romantic to swim under the full moon with candle-lit...
Although the Aston doesn't have a private beach, the public beach is excellent. It's clean and calm. You can stroll around in the morning when everything is still quiet and peaceful. No sellers. and all food stalls are still closed.
So next time you plan to visit Bali, try Aston @ Sanur! Bet you'll love it!"

Okay, but not that great
"We originally were planning on staying here for 4 nights, but quickly decided 2 was enough for us. The villas individually are nice, if not a bit too stark - not really any artwork, everything was white and brown. The bathroom was a bit weird - for a place that has only been open for a little over a year, it was already showing wear - cracking around the bathtub, craking in the floors, scratches on the doors. The villa's pool was great and the bed was surprisingly very comfortable. The kichen would have been great if we were planning on staying here for a week, The indoor/outdoor living situation was also a nice touch.
The resort itself is in a weird spot. It is literally a part of a strip mall with a travel agency, tourist shop and some other random stores. It definitely does not make a good impression. It is a short walk to the beach, but it is not on it. They do have chairs on the beach reserved, which was a nice amenity.
We did not eat at the restaurant - no one was in there whenever we walked through (which you had to do to get to the hotel). We did eat next door at Mezzanine and had a great experience - live music, great sushi and Japanese dishes, and fun, tasty drinks.
The pros: tv(!), CDs and DVDs to rent from the front desk, decent breakfast delivered, private plunge pool. The cons: weird location, no "life" to the resort, far from the main strip of restaurants along the beach.
I think this place would have been great had there not been the strip mall out front. It really leaves a bad taste in your mouth."

"We recently stayed at these villas for 10 nights and we were extremely happy with the standard of these new villas. We stayed in a 1brm villa, it was beautifully furnished with it's own plunge pool, kitchen, lounge area. Their restaurant "Caramel" serves quality food beautifully presented. There is a large main pool if you find your plunge pool too small. The staff here are very helpful and sweet. The spa is excellent too! We got an excellent rate for these villas on passionasia.com"
