Best goa style home stay experience
"If you are planning to take a break from work and city life this is the place to stay and spend time. Arco Iris is located in place where there are lakes and churches. A perfect goa countryside experience. The bathrooms and rooms are huge and very well designed with maintaining the old heritage of Goa house achitecture. Food served here :- Fresh bread, jams, butter, fruits, tea, coffee and traditional indian breakfast. Both veg and non veg such as chicken, fish and triangular puri's are delicious. If you wanna have adventure there are lots of places to visit near by and have great fun. I had wonderful and most memorable time. thank you ."

A unique homestay amidst the village, lake and tastefully restored villa
"The definition of home away from home can be derived from this pleasant nest set away from the cliche`d beach huts, shacks and resorts of Goa. Having seen the many faces of Goa and liking them all, we wanted a 'different holiday' and one that allows us to not do much. The homestay is made into one that you can take back with you as memory by the warm family. Arco Iris is pretty giving you enough mental space for conversation yet not set off limits from a walk by the lake, or an evening stroll by the village side. I would recommend the never ending stories to tell by the little ones about the village, the lake, the house and every other thing sitting by the front porch on a lazy Goan afternoon:-) Meghana"

The perfect place
"For us, this place had been a revelation and we definitely need to come back! The old colonial Goan house is stunning! Beautifully restored, furnished with much love for the detail, spacious and impeccable clean rooms,⦠These are already enough reasons to spend your time at Arcor Iris, however there is much more to this place: It is surrounded by little lakes, covered with lotus flowers and crowded by extraordinary birds. If you rent a scooter you can visit a wonderful priest seminary close by. By scooter it is also easy to reach some almost deserted beaches. But beyond all this, it is the extraordinary host-family that makes this place so very special! We were so warmly welcome by the owners Ghani and Beni and their two young daughters that we felt at home immediately. In many inspiring talks we learnt a lot about the Indian culture, were introduced to some fascinating Indian writers and music and did not want to leave in the end. The stay at Arcor Iris has definitely been one of the great highlights during our trip to India."

Wonderful Lakeside Retreat in the Heart of South Goa
"We hadn't planned to visit Goa on our trip from Kerala to Bombay but thank's to Arco Iris fortunately we decided to go after all! Recommended by a friend from Bombay we found Arco Iris as an extremely pleasant and welcoming home-stay run by a Bangalorian/Goan family of four. The bright yellow portugiese villa, splendidly refurbished with much taste and detail, serves as a guiet home to travelers who wish to visit the beach AND discover the traditions of southern goa. The owners and their delightful daughters are very familiar with the area and will be of great help when it comes to your personal itinery. Breakfasts and dinners are delicious... we had an amazing time and I hope to return one day myself!!"

Live in a restored Portuguese home in a village of south Goa - Heavenly!
"We are of Indian origin, living in US. Tthough we visit India quite often, this was our first trip to Goa. After a lot of research and talking to friends - we discovered 'Arco Iris' - this very old Portuguese home that has been painstakingly restored by a couple (Beni and Ganesh) whose passion is to do just that and raise their children in the quite atmosphere of the village. What a pleasant surprise! A beautiful majestic home with all its characteristic features as long verandas (where families in olden days used to visit each other), large wooden pillars that hold the tilled roof, rich dark woodwork all around, tastefully decorated rooms with period furniture (the old door made into the dinning table), large bedrooms with its private balcony and modern bathroom with hot and cold water and carefully planted fruit and flower gardens all around the house. They did send a car to pick us up from the airport and at our arrival to Arco, we were greeted by the whole family and served the welcoming fruit drink. next morning we woke up listening to birds calls! They always had soothing and beautiful music playing (Eastern and Western) most of the time. Beni cooked good breakfast and to our surprise Ganesh and Beni drove us around to visit notable places in south Goa - you never expect such generosity - what a nice gift to us! if you are looking for a place to relax in a quite countryside with all the charm of a village life, bird-watching and at a very reasonable rate, good company of educated owners and feel like that you are in your own home - definitely go to Arco Iris' at south Goa."
