"We had an absolutely wonderful time at Victor Exotica. We took our two teenagers (one of whom is severely disabled) and our 10 month old son, and the staff were wonderful with all three. The manager of the hotel even allocated a waiter to look after the baby (within my sight at all times) so that my husband and I could enjoy ourselves without having to constantly watch where he was and what he was doing. We had a truly marvellous time and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone of any age."

"Fantastic Staff, they couldn’t do enough for you. Great food, great variety. The environment made the all the guests get on as a whole, which also added to the holiday experience. I intend to visit South Goa but will make a day of going to see the guys at the Victor Exotica, to thank them again for their help and making us welcome."

"Not for the fickle for eating unless you eat in the top restaurants like the bistro, east meets west (Baga), but I found the food both varied and very enjoyable. The locals were very friendly and helpful in what to do I recommend elephant trip and a stop over night on Mandolim beach in a hut we went with Ritesh from ice and spice. Do not bother with dolphin trip just sit on the beach at the Siora paradise shack ask for Guru the masseur and in the afternoon most days he will spot the dolphins from the beach for you if you do go to this shack say hello to lads for us. Hotel nice and clean but very warm by the pool enjoyed the beach better only down side to the beach is the view of a tanker and the sea gets deep very quickly."

"Myself, husband, son (18) and daughter (14) have just returned from our first visit to Goa and to the Victor Exotica. We had a fantastic time, the staff at the hotel were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble, they knew your name after the first day. The rooms were very basic but very clean, as was all the hotel. The food in the hotel was not too special but it was so cheap to eat out.Candolim itself is a very safe and clean resort from the beach shacks to the many places to eat along the main road. The weather was fantastic day and night. All the trips can be done much cheaper using the local taxi drivers. We would definetly go back to this resort and hotel."

Victor Exotica - good standard of accommodation

"Just spent 2 weeks at the Victor Exotica on my first trip to Goa and was very impressed with the standard of this 3* hotel. Rooms are clean, airy and spacious with clean towels every day. Balconies are a bit on the small side with no balcony furniture but there are 2 wooden chairs in the room which you can move onto the balcony, if like me you like to sit on the balcony and relax before dinner. The hotel is in a good location, set back from the main road in a quiet side street with several restaurants within a 5 minute walk and beach road with its numerous restaurants and bars is only 15 minutes walk away or a couple of minutes in a taxi (taxi rank outside the hotel). The beach is less than 10 minutes walk away. I always found the staff to be really friendly and helpful. The pool is a bit on the small side though adequate for the size of the hotel and very shady which is good if you've had too much sun on the beach - not good if you want to try and get a tan round the pool though. The main criticism is it was sometimes difficult to get a sun bed if you didn't get one early in the morning, this is as much due to people leaving their towels and disappearing for a few hours as there not been enough sunbeds to go around. I would definitely recommend this hotel and sty there again if I return to Candolim."

"Victor Exotica is an excellent place to stay. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff are great and they would do anything they can to help you. The food at the resturant is great. The hotel is in a very central location so it is easy to get to the beach, shops and restaurant. Our favorite restaurant was the Stone House. The food there is amazing. We will definitely come back to Victor Exotica because we loved everything about it. We still wish we were there!"

"We really enjoyed our 2 week stay at the hotel. All the staff were really friendly and so close to the beach and the resort centre. Also taxi rank just outside the hotel and coffee house for your late night drink. I would highly recomend this hotel to anyone who is thinking of staying there."

This was our 6th visit to Goa

"This was our sixth visit to Goa, we stayed at the Victor Exotica four years running, for the fifth year we were later booking our vacation so we tried another hotel. Whilst this other hotel was good, the Victor has it beaten hands down, location, location, location. It is right in the middle of the quiet zone, noise must stop at midnight. Easy distance to restaurants, the shops and the beaches. What more can you ask? A stroll along to the left is the infamous Stonehouse restaurant, a must for lovers of blues music, across the road from the Victor, a fantastic coffee house, ideal for a Latte on the way back. Down the road is the beach, thats once you have run the gauntlet of the sellers and ' look at my shop'!!! To the right is the rest of Candolim and night life! Lovely to go to but even better if you are not sleeping in the middle of it. What are we doing this January....going to Victor Exotica of course, and guess what we are going their again next January....Sad? maybe ...but when you have a winning formula why change it?"

"We went to Goa in the first week of November. The atmosphere was great. the hotel was very clean and food was good enough, although we feel that there was a room for improvement in quality. People very generally helpful. the only small problem was that you would get a service when you asked for it. In short, the staff was not forthcoming in their efforts. But when you tell them about the need, then the response was fast. Otherwise, the experience was very good"

"All the rooms and facilities were very clean (i.e. pool cleaning each morning) and the personnel was very helpful. The beach is within 5 minutes of walking distance. The best rooms are the ones with pool view. We had the AI-package, and they even made us some cocktails like Caipiroshka or Cuba Libre although not on the menu. During our stay they were repainting all the buildings and that made it even nicer. All in all we can absolutely recommend the hotel - even if the buffet was not that vast in offer for western taste (but we always got full :-) ). The Candolim Beach seems to be a bit dirty due to the huge ships passing from Goa to the north (we preferred Colva Beach for future stays, and friends told us that Palolem is even better than Colva) . And the strong currents in the Sea make it almost impossible to swim at any beach of Sinquerim, Candolim or Calangute (at least in our days). But the water has about 28 degrees, and if you don't go for swimming but just wave-hoping it's all fine; and besides, the pool is also huge and the sunset is worth a lot! ;-)"

"We loved it so much we're going back later this year. The staff at the Victor Exotica are excellent nothing is too much trouble, you can have your clothes washed for next to nothing so you don't need to bring too many clothes with you. The pool is lovely and the hotel is really clean (maid service everyday). I fell down monsoon drain last year and tore a ligament in my leg, I had it in plaster for a week (of a two week holiday!) and the staff were really good to me, they changed our room to a ground floor one right beside the pool and the bar, what more could you ask for! Do look out for the drains though, there at the side of the roads and there arn't any street lights, so be careful, we're bringing a great big trorch this year. Really looking forward to going back to Victor Exotica and we wouldn't usually go to the same place twice, but this is an exception as we couldn't get anywhere better. PS the food and drink in Canolim is really cheap (about 60p for a litre of beer and £1.75 for a prawn vidaloo)."
