"This is in concern to booking number Booking No.: IWQF9801 and LCZP9487 from 31/12/2016 to 03/01/2017 in Magnum Resort,Candolim,Goa. With great disappointment i regret taking assistance of OYO for my hotel bookings and got my whole vacation ruined. Not one but number of incidents shooked our stay. We immediately contacted OYO customer service center and also bought the following to the notice of Magnum property manager, but none of that was helpful # The rooms provided were in stingy condition, fan was not working, fridge was smelling in the room. # The locks in the the bathrooms door were not working. To this the property owner justifies that none of the hotels have locks in the bathroom and since we know with whom we are sharing the room so we should adjust # ILL attended room services. # There was a insect found in the breakfast poha next day . The staff present there tells us that the insect must have flied from outside . We had doctors in our group and else also any person could make out the difference between fried insect and the one getting dropped from outside. Next day the doctor members of our group just couldn't eat the breakfast with the previous day experience since they value their hygiene. # The extreme of all was there were glass slabs missing from the bathroom window of Room no-606 making the bathroom exposed to the outside balconies of the buildings infront. The room was shared by two ladies, who were not at all comfortable in the situation and forget about women i am sure neither would any male can take this kinda situation. To our shock the property manager tells us this is no problem and can be adjusted as well . This shows his audacity to tell the females to take bath in that exposed bathroom. This is highly condemn to being ignorant and negligent towards women safety and security in your hotel. What worse if you can't provide basic privacy to your customers forget providing secondary hospitality services. To our disappointment not even OYO customer service was providing any grievance addressal despite of making constant calls.Either you guys think that we are trying to get unnecessary refund extracts or you think we live in streets to adjust with such situations and let our ladies be unsafe in that exposed bathroom. I challenge OYO to take our booking history in all reputed hotels we have stayed till http://date.Do (http://date.Do) a background check if you require.Never we have faced such an stingy and rodent incidence. Who likes to upset their vacataion and keep wasting time on making calls to reach to your customer service. Oyo talks about sending surveillance team.If you are so particular with surveillance you should have send it when we were there at the resort. How can you maintain transparency behind our back So much baffled we become that finally we have to prep one the check out date from 03/01/2017 to 02/01/2017. Though definitely we are not coming back to Oyo,we are going to make sure & spread the word to the best we can making everyone aware of the ignorant and negligent behaviour we witnessed on behalf of our service provider especially towards female safety. Regards Vikas "

"It is a nice, hospitable place with good staff and good services. Actually I read this hotel's reviews, which were not so good, but when stayed at the hotel I came to know about its new owners (I guess they r frm Delhi ), they have transformed this hotel tremendously. Rooms are very nice, spacious and neat and clean. The hotel's new restro-smoke house is quite good having live instrumental performance in the evening. Overall I enjoyed my stay in magnum."

"Being a woman travelling alone and reading reviews I was quite apprehensive about the Magnum, however I needn’t have been, it was lovely. Ok the room was basic, I was given the choice of two, one being a suite and the other just a room. I chose the room. The sheets were clean so too the towels, in fact the room was clean but basic. The hotel staff were fabulous, they just could not do enough for me and I never felt threatened or intimidated or hit on whilst being there. Total respect is what I received. I thought the breakfasts were acceptable, if you wanted, you could have eggs and toast etc. The snacks were also nice. I had a TV and that was really good, especially the movie channel. As for the men thinking I was on the pull, I was just very firm and said no, just as I would in the UK. Goa is fantastic and I found it safe and relaxed. Candolim is beautiful and so are the people. I would certainly stay at the Magnum upon my return to Goa. "

"I had never been to Goa before but had a fantastic holiday there. The only down side was the hotel but fortunately we did not have to spend much time there. Infact we only slept there. We found the hotel dirty and the food awful. We saw lots of rats around the hotel at different times of the day, mainly around the pool area. The staff just laughed when we told them. I would go back to Goa but not this hotel."

"Had a nice room, after I got it changed. The breakfast was good- fruit, toast, roll’s, tea/coffee. The pool was Ok but area was very basic, especially as it was the only place to sit day or evening. The food was not very good and the poolside snacks were horrible. A small hotel on a very busy road, but 10 mins walk to a lovely beach, staff all very friendly. I came to Goa for a holiday on my own for a week of sea and sun, but found it was assumed that I was on the pull, I was harassed were ever I went, which spoilt my holiday."

"We stayed in the Magnum for two weeks and had a wonderful time. The staff is really friendly, helpful, kind and relaxed and they took good care of us. The food is lovely, we ended up having quite a few meals in the hotel and we miss the tandori! Our first impression of the rooms was not the best, but that´s probably because we didn´t know what to expect. After five minutes we forgot all about it and enjoyed our holiday. The massage center offers excellent treatments and is highly recommended! Christian and Trine, Norway"

"we have stayed at the magnum hotel twice and as we are going to goa again for new year we tried to book again but we were unlucky this time. the hotel is quite small with very friendly staff, from the manager down to the cleaning staff. the breakfast isn't really anything to rave about but the bbq nights are always good with great food and a live band. it is situated well with bars and shops all around, i would recommend ashoka jewellers next door to the hotel, we have bought some very good diamonds from them and they can be trusted, no fakes there! on site there is a tailor who is very good and very reasonable. we will be calling in to see our old friends at the magnum this visit and i am looking forward to seeing them. we would recommend the magnum hotel, as i said it is small and friendly, the staff can't do enough for you well hope you find goa as addictive as we do, all that's left to be said is..............................ENJOY colleen and nigel hollins- east cleveland england"

"Me and my partner went in the the middle of march, and we had the most warmest welcome at Magnums since landing in Goa. The hotel manager, made us feel right at home, and we were treated very nicely. We were very happy with the politeness of the hotel staff, and the cleanliness of the room, which they done at least twice a day. We would not hesitate to go there again, which we will be doing next year.."

"It was our first time in Goa, and there is no doubt about it, we are coming back. The staff were relaxed about all of our children (5). The service were fine, we had an emergency with one of the children, and had to go to the hospital. the staff drove us there, and stayed there. And 3 days later they drove us back for a check-up. The hotel was perfeckt for familys whit children, and for people who dont like the staff "hanging over the shoulder" all day long. We got good advise about where to go and what to se, whitout a tourguide. If anything, I would have wanted there to be a coffeemaker at the apartment, because there is nothing ekcept 2 drinkingglasses. It will most surtenly not be our last visit to Magnum hotel."

"This being our forth stay at Magnum was fantastic Shane,Marlane,Sarah Neil and kids will be delighted to return 2007 (feb). The whole set-up is catered for all comers old, young, rich or poor.A little rough round the edges, but also clean and a feeling of trustworthy staff and residents also. John, the Manager will always point you in the right direction (and his staff are most considerate in help of all aspects to make the best of your budget).Being it a two day trip to Bombay or the hire of a scooter- a great way to zip around.Food is just as 'Mama makes'. I could go on and on.The best move to make is to stick a few quid by and GO! Made for families. The flight is long,a good means to a realey smashing worthwile holiday ENJOY! Shane & Ma and Families."
