"We have stayed at the ticlo resorts for the past 4 years. We have met some very nice travellers from around the world. Many uk tourists have returned to this hotel year after year. The hotel is good value for the price. The staff could not do enough for you. You only have to ask for anything and they would go out of there way to get it. I liked the personal touch every day of the cleaning of the rooms and change of sheets and towels. Usually the towels were made into something unusual.. Crocodile swans and even a man sat in a chair. The entertainment is good and the food is excellent and again will cater to anything you ask of them. All you have to do is ask. The hotel has gone under improvement works over the last 4 years and every year there is something that has been improved. Remember this goa and things dont happen overnight. I have nothing but praise for the staff who work 7 days a week morning afternoon and night. The hotel taxi lads would take you anywhere at a reasonable price. The hotel is well located there is even a chippy behind the hotel."

Have had better!!
"We have been to Goa a number of times and had actually been recommended this hotel. Having stayed in other hotels in the area we were absolutely shocked at the first room we were given. The Rep we had was as much use as a chocolate fire guard. I have never had to contact a Rep before but the room was that bad we tried to sort it out through the proper chanels. We ended up talking direct to the Hotal manager who moved us. The room was bigger, brighter and had some storage for our clothes. We had mouldy curtains, a broken window in the living area and a toilet seat that you had to be careful when sitting on as it bucked you off! The staff were for want of a better word "disfunctional" and uninterested. The location was excellent but our friends stayed round the corner at a hotel call Sun Kissed which made Hotel Tenko, sorry Ticlo look shocking!! It is India at the end of the day but I have to agree with other reviews that you can get much better for your money."

enjoyed stay at the Ticlo hotel
"Ticlo hotel Date: 29th Jan 08 We have just got back from a two week stay at the Ticlo hotel. We found that it was in an ideal location as it was very centrel. The rooms were very basic and we had clean sheets and towels on a daily basis. The hotel staff were very friendly and would go out of their way to please. Room service is available throughout the day until 11.00 in the evening, and there is no charge for this. There was entertainment on every evening and the entertainment varied. If you can not find any food on the menu that is to your liking then let the staff know and they will try their best to make what you want."

Get your shots before you check in!
"The property is well located, and that is the only nice thing i can say about it. I have traveled a lot in India and have to say it was the dirtiest place i have stayed. The staff is rude, the included continental breakfast is cold toast and instant coffee. and the bathroom in my room looked like a biology experiment gone wrong. The rooms are advertised as having a sitting room, which it did a single battered chair and a very very loud refridgerator. the matress was lumpy 2 inch thick futon on a plywood platform with A greasy looking sheet ( no top sheet) and a gray very rough towel. you can find a much nicer hotel for a lot less money in Goa, avoid this place like the plague you'd probably get if your butt made contact with the toilet seat there!"

Good location if you like busy!
"Contrary to some reviews: The rooms were spacious and basic. They were cleaned most days and fresh towels provided. Our room consisted of a living room with a basic two seater couch a large Belfast sink and unit, coffee table tv and fridge with a "mini bar" stocked every other day with a couple of bottles of Kings, 4 Breezers and 3 litres of water, all payed for at the end of our fortnight in total came to about £15. The bedroom had a double bed, double wardrobe dressing table and chest of drawers. Both rooms had working cielling fans and the bedroom an A/C unit. There was a large wetroom with plenty of hot water. Floors were tiled through out with boring off yellow tiles. The balcony did not have the most spectacular view- The hotel generator(which was put into action swiftly during power cuts. The hotel has a small pool that gets full sunlight between about 10.30 and 5, with a poolside bar. We only ate once in the hotel, the food was fine and reasonably priced. Staff were fine, not over attentive but certainly not rude or ignorant. We found the location to be excellent for our needs i.e slap bang in the middle of Calangute easy walking distance of many very good eateries and easy to get transport further afield. The traffic though chaotic in the day didn't keep us awake at night as it all died down by about 11pm. All in all pretty good value for money. Would we stay there again? Yes if the price was right, as it was then. We are going back to Goa on Saturday, this time we are staying at the Village Royale in Calangute but only because the price is right ."

Decent place to stay!
"Staying at Ticlo was an average experience. The rooms were well maintained and clean. The resort had a small swimming pool.Staff was very friendly and helpful but service was slow. Its a low budget hotel and provides the basic amenities.I would suggest this hotel for a person who wants to have a low budget stay. The hotel is opposite this awesome bakery called Infantaria Bakery. The hotel an approximate 15-20 min walk to the Baga beach. Its centrally located. The market is a 10 min walk. For such a low price ar Ticlo,I would say it was worth it.It met my expectations cause this some what how most low budget hotels are in Goa.The advantage of staying at this place is its location."

stay was worth
"It was a nice stay at ticlo resorts...the rooms were good and the resort is near to calangute beach and also not very far from Baga beach as well. It also has 2 veg. restaurants very nearby which is good for veg. ppl. In all it's a decent stay and worth your money... Cheers"
