Our very own Old Portugese oasis
"We were lucky to find the Casa Serevina. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We had our daily included breakfast in the beautiful gazebo. The trip advisor link doesn't show their lovely pool (so check out the hotel website). We had a beautiful room overlooking the entry courtyard. Large deck - nice for reading and having a beer. Manager Johnson was a great resource. We'd stay here again for sure."

"What a lovely hotel and such delightful staff. We spent 18 days in India the first 5 days and the final 4 days in this hotel. It was clean tidy and efficient with friendly staff. When we came back for our second stay it was like coming home. We stayed in one of the front rooms with a balcony over looking the front gate and garden. It was very roomy and everything in it worked. The hot water did take a bit of time to come through the pipes, but when you know it's not a problem. The pool is spotlessly clean and its position is well thought out. The dinner menu is a little limited but the staff do their best to satisfy what ever you ask for. It is the staff that make this place such a delight. From Johnson the manager to the girls at reception, Andrew in the kitchen, the room cleaners who smile all the time, the lady who sweeps the drive, the guards on the gate and the all ways attentive waiter Ujay. They have only one aim and that is to make your stay as pleasant as they can. For me they achieved this in spades. Each time you walk through the gate it is like walking in to an oasis of calm and tranquillity. Thanks to all the team and I will be back to see you all again."

Be prepared to be overwhelmed at Casa Severina !
"If you want a stay in style and experience the true Goan hospitality without burning a hole in you pocket , Casa Severina is definitely the place you should be heading to.Tucked in a nice and quiet lane between Calangute and Candolim this place is perfect to spend quality time with your loved one/s. Here's my review of the hotel - Hotel Building : It looks like a private villa from outside and is very tastefully done. Generous use of wood and wrought iron gives it a very royal look. It has a big clean pool and equally big open fish pool. There is a small garden and a open bar outside and enough parking space for parking your vehicle. The hotel is just a couple of years old and hence is in excellent condition. Rooms : We had booked a pool facing junior suite and it was one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in my life. The room was quite big (had an attached balcony facing the pool) , very nicely done and very clean (they clean it twice a day) . The aircon was very good, bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom too was in excellent condition -ours didnt have a bathtub but a step up room had one. The room also had an tv , electronic safe and a well stocked and reasonably priced Minibar. Service : This one truly needs a special mention. Everyone in the hotel works with a single motto which is to overwhelm the guest with their hospitality. Mr. Johnson and his team went out of the way to make us feel at home at Casa Severina. Hats off to them ! Location : It is located at a distance of around 3-4 km from both main Calangute beach and the main Candolim beach and its slightly off the main road connecting Calangute and Candolim. You will require a vehicle if you plan to stay at this hotel. The hotel will arrange for a car or a driver to drive your car in case you are planning to party till wee hours in the morning. Food : The hotel has positioned itself as a boutique B&B and hence has a very basic menu . We hardly ate here as Goa has a lot of eating places to explore , however whatever we ate was pretty good. Would have loved if they had a few more veg items on their menu. The complimentary breakfast though simple was pretty good. All in all ,excellent rooms and overwhelming hospitality makes Casa Severina a far better option than the other similarly priced hotels in Calangute -Candolim strech . Would definitely recommend it for a romantic getaway or a leisure trip with family or friends. Looking forward to my next visit to Casa Severina !"

This hotel is amazing
"This hotel is amazing and even in the monsson season its so well kept the staff is great, its a little gem on calangut, i have come to goa many times but this is the cutest hotel iv stayed in, also it has a fish tank the size of a swimming pool!!!!!!!! Every thing was just perfect- we didn't eat in the hotel though cause goa has so many places to eat and we used to get out of the hotel after breakfast and return after dinner but what ever i ordered was nice :-)"

"Who ever said that Goa is no fun in the monsoons? Sure, the beaches are a bit rough and there are no great crowds (which I personally think is great!), But we nevertheless had a great time! Initially we were a bit doubtful about the hotel we were staying in, but entering within the walls of this amazingly tranquil setting reassured us greatly. The rooms were excellent, fresh and without any musty smell that normally prevails in damn places. Very clean with fresh towels that are changed periodically. The room is warm and cozy and really helps you unwind. The mini bar is well stocked. The bathrooms are clean. But what deserves special mention is the staff at Casa Severina. I must say they are excellent and EXTREMELY efficient. Due to the rains, our return tickets were cancelled all of a sudden and if it hadn't been for the efficiency of Cynthia, the receptionist and others there, we would have been stranded there indefinitely. What makes this hotel great is Cynthia and her team. Hats off to you!"

Fantastic experience of service and care
"We went to Goa in May 2010 for a leisure trip with my girlfriend and other friends. Needless to say that India is quite difficult in terms of quality hotels and ladies in the team were slightly disappointed after searching for a place in Calangute/Baga. Thanks to a taxi driver we have accidentally bumped into Casa Severina and believe me, this was like a paradise! Great quality rooms, nice pool, fantastic service and most important - extremely nice and caring staff made our stay in Casa Severina ang Goa the best experience. We have also were honored to be invited to the wedding of the hotel manager that took place there during our stay. This is a fantastic place and the only thing I worry about is that they will be overbooked the next time we come to Goa, so hope Joseph will open one more hotel like Casa Severina."

like having your own private home on holiday!
"we stayed at the casa serverina for a week in march 2010 and the hotel made our first trip to Goa fantastic! We were meeting friends who go to Calangute every year for a couple of months and we had them check out where to stay for us and they found us the Casa Serevina which has only been open a year. The service could not be bettered. Beautiful air conditioned rooms with balconies looking over the lovely pool. All the staff could not have looked after us any better, from first thing in the morning at breakfast until we returned from our days out to find a different animal made from towels on our bed each night! Have not written a review before but think they all throughly deserve a mention although I don't want everyone to know just what a lovely hotel it is as I want to go again and do not want it to be book up!"
