"I've been staying at BaiaDoSol since 2002, the first time I went to Goa. The place has a unique charm and is part of the Baga Environment. What I call "Baga Environment" includes the Beach, the River, the Fishing Boats, Brittos, Baia Do Sol and the Bus Stand. All these 6 elements together constitute the charm of Baga. You have to stay at Baia Do Sol to be able to experience Baga in its true sense. Baga is incomplete without any one of these.
Baia Do Sol has greatly improved over the years. Originally till 2004 there was no swimming pool and the restaurant was also small. Though it is a resort/hotel, there is a homely/ family like spirit in the way it is run which is what adds to the charm of the place. Every staff treats you like a family guest and does the extra mile to make you feel at home."

The Best Beach Resort in Goa
"We had been to this resort in May 2010 with family and friends and its one of the best places to stay in Goa, the location of the resort is one of the best where sea & river meet, the resort staff are very helpful and there was no request of ours turned down. The deluxe rooms are clean and big enough for a family with a nice small lawn atached to every room. In short its the the best place to stay in with your famiy in Goa."

Baia Do Sol-Worth Staying.....
"I have stayed at Baia Do Sol for twice. However both times it was a business tour and I had work at Panjim BUT I have always loved staying at Baga Beach and that also at Baia Do Sol.
Baia Do Sol is at the dead end of Baga Beach and having excellent view of beach and river. Restaurant is newly decorated and food is just superb. Most important thing, staff is very friendly and very co-operative. My fist stay to Baia was in November 2009 and it was such a good feeling to meet the same staff after 6 months, May 2010â¦.with same smile on the faceâ¦!!!
Rooms are not very large but maintained very neatly.
Best feature of the hotel is location. Itâs just across the beach and less than 5 minutes walk from joints like St. Anthonyâs and Brittos.
Cheers Baia Do Solâ¦"

"We have stayed in this hotel during our vacation to site seeing in goa.
This hotel located in the combination of the Sun, Sand, and the Sea.
The hotel looks good and beautiful view of sea, sand and gardens from the window view in the bed room which is amazing.
Its spacious and cklean rooms over there. And its more convinient for tourists and honey moon couple too.
But Prices are bit high in star hotels in goa and food expenses too."

leaking, smelling, noisy and not worth the price !!
"Our room was leaking. And so was the next room where we were shifted. After complaining we got lousy treatment. And the hotel was stinking of fish as the river view they advertize is actually really a fishing dump. The entire bus and cab parking is just outside the hotel making it a very messy noisy place. Swimming poool is really just a oversized bath tub. Hotel is not worth the price paid. It feels actually like a inter state bus stand type budget lodge."

Love the Location
"I've stayed at baia do sol several times,
I love its little rooms, we usually get the room facing the river, but it can get a litttle noisy at low tide when the fisher folk are setting up on the banks.
The way you view the resort depends on your purpose, we like it because we don't plan on eating or spending much time on the property, just coming back for a nap or to sleep, the view is fantastic some of the rooms are very uniquely done up, though some are grotty, book in advance price can be negotiated if you're a regular :)
don't plan to eat there, (we never have) Britto's St. Anthony's and cavala are walking distance from baia, you're literally in the thick of things try it its fun.
The staff are very helpful arranged a car and driver at a moment's notice, watch out for the friend;y stray the smelly blackie, he's a sweet dog."

Horrible Hotel -- Not what we were paying for
"My husband and I have visited India several times(my husband was born and raised in India), so we are very familiar with the lodgings of this country. The main reason we stayed at this hotel was because we thought we were getting a great deal on a room and sightseeing package. We were wrong.
Immediately we were informed that there was no television service available. Even though we were here to enjoy Goa, it is nice to have a T.V. at night when you are suffering from jet lag and want to relax in your room.
Next, we went to the hotel restaurant to enjoy the "Continental Breakfast" that was supposed to be included in our package. For starters, the restaurant was filthy. It was absolutely the dirtiest place I have ever seen. We were told that the "Continental Breakfast" was actually toast that they would make for us if we wanted it. They may want to rethink using the term "Continental Breakfast". My husband and I decided to just have some coffee and sit on the deck. Every table cloth was so heavily soiled that we ended up having to roll one back to expose the bare wood of the table to have our coffee. We only sat for a short time as the smell of fish being brought in from the nets of the fisherman right next to the restaurant was overpowering.
This resort has a giant parking lot on one side that is constantly filled with busses and taxis, and the riverside on another where all of the fishing boats are beached. There is nothing scenic about this location and the smell in the air from the fish is repulsive.
We decided to go and do some sightseeing. After speaking to Kajal, the manager(?), we took her recommendation and toured North Goa as our sightseeing tour that was scheduled for the following day would be going to South Goa. We hired a driver for the day and had a lovely time.
The following day we went to the front office to wait for our tour. When the driver arrived he informed us that they were going to be touring North Goa instead of South Goa to save on diesel fuel. We were not very happy as we had already toured North Goa. As we had no other plans and had paid to have a tour, we decided to go with the group. The tour we had paid for was to have included an evening cruise up the river to see crocodiles. When we asked if we would still be going on the cruise, the driver explained that the boat was in the South of Goa and too far to go, but if we would like to pay extra, they could arrange a cruise in the north of Goa. We did so and were taken out into the sea in a boat and shown some dolphins.
When we returned to the hotel we complained and the people at the desk took a very "flippant" attitude with us. They said that there were things beyond their control and since we were getting a "Deal" we shouldn't complain over little things like not getting our cruise or the tour we were promised.
When we finally were checking out of this terrible little place, they tried to charge us almost DOUBLE what they had quoted us!!! My husband reminded them of the rate that they had promised and Kajal told him that was a special that was being run and we had not reserved in the time frame that they had required. Luckily, my husband had printed out the confirmation email which Kajal had sent that stated she had received our bank draft in time and was giving us that select rate. When presented to Kajal, she initially began to object, and then finally gave in when we asked to speak to the owner.
Steer clear of this hotel!!! They are not honest and nothing is as they would have you believe."

loved tha baia
"amazing location, truly by the river and the sea. walked around to all places. the hotel was on the beach. attentive front desk. more like a small boutique hotel with personalised attention. beautiful rooms, and a small backyard pool to destress when you arent on the beach."

"we loved the boutique feel of the property and its location on the beach and river in baga. the river front room was the icing on the cake.
the plunge pool was ok. watching the sun set from the sea facing restaurant deck was an experience i will not forget.
the room service was slow, the food variety was average. but the views made up for it. we actually jumped on to the beach directly from the small wicket gate that the resort has."
