Nice, central Hotel. Did not like sewage overflow and sewage smell in streets
"Sousse Palace Hotel, is a very nice hotel, very central. Good food also.
But it is a pity that when you come out of the hotel, you have to smell that drainage smell, although this has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but drainage overflow seems to be seen often in Tunisia. Perhaps the Government or Local Council could do something about this, which will surely help tourism to Tunisia to increase. I have heard many other tourists complaining of the drainage overflow, and drainage smells in the streets of Tunisia.
By the way ! having said all this ! my husband and I were there last September, and intend to go again to Sousse Palace Hotel , this coming September, 2006."

"The hotel itself was okay - the food was great, and the evening meals were always very sumptuous. They had a nice pool and the grounds around the hotel were nice.
The hotel beach was all right - the local youth like to come down after work and school and ogle the women - the local women don't spend alot of time at the beach in bathing suits. The fishbowl feeling can be pretty discomforting - some of the young men are just totally rude â they will come right up to the women and just stair at them.
I found some of the people to be okay there â be prepared for a lot of trash and dirt.
My recommendation is to spend your vacation in Port El Kontui about 3 KM from Sousse. Beautiful beach and resort town just for tourists. "
