Yet another fantastic 2 weeks..
"The Hotel Bel Air.. Came back a week ago from another great 2 weeks, the hotel staff are so helpful, and most of the old faces are back.. The hotel was taken over a couple of years ago by another company (happy days) well every-thing turned to **** ! (sorry but true) then 18 months ago was taken back by the old owners and is almost back to normal again.. Things have improved 100% and the staff are brilliant, I go with my 11 year old son (Jake) who the staff have known since he was 6 and he fits in with Animation team a treat, They have let him do all sorts with them and even let him sing and dance and act on the stage with them at night. We are made to feel so welcome its like being a part of one big happy family. I would recommend this hotel to any-one, friendly, helpful, clean, lovely pool area, and most of all, its safe for the kids.. Only one down-side.. the chef (cook)could do with a kick up the butt, please change your menu mate!! foods good, but just want more for the kids like beefburgers would be an idea. Just down the road about 100 yards if that is a English bar called "Shakespeares" run by Dawn and Ramzi, they have Drag nights on a Tuesday and Friday where the food is excellent and good value for money. I can not fault this part of Hammamet at all and have never had a problem with the locals at all and saying that, I am blonde and have blue eyes..lol. Thank you every-one we will be back with you all September.. @//(*_*)\\@"

Great family hotel
"We arrived a week after four other members of our family, so there were ten of us aged from fifties thirties, twenties and a twelve and six year old. the staff couldnt have been nicer especially Picasso who made each child feel special, there was water sports during the day with a show on every night. We had fire eaters, strong man act, Irish night etc. I must admit I was a bit disappointed on arrival as the place didn't look too good, but we had been travelling for eleven hours and were quite grouchy. After we rested and looked around we found it to be acceptable, the beds and towels were changed regularly and there was a wide variety of food. chips and mash were included. There is a bar inside the hotel which serves frys, paninis, chips, steaks etc. The staff work really hard to make your stay enjoyable and make an effort to get to know your name. taxi's into the medina (where the beach and shops are) is 5 dinar which is less that two pounds 50p. For the price £275 half board from Ireland I think we got a great deal. Would go again if the weather was a bit cooler, it was over 40 degrees"

"This hotel is a brilliant establishment . The staff are grate and helpfull. The worst part of the the experiance was the food i would have to say . The rooms are at standerd rate if you want to go on a family holidy . the shops and pubs are very close posible about 5 muinits away . The beach is close and there are always staff around to help you . It is an experience you will never forget . I would recroment this hotel for familys who are looking for a quiet holiday ."

Such nice people
"We hada very welcoming say here. All were very nice and helpful. The entertainment was very good and they made you want to get involved. We were there at a hard time when the volcano went off and Thomas cook took care of everything, so we had no worries (thanks Lorrain and team.) The hotel is a bit rough at the edges, but the people more than make up for this."

"Hotel very nice with great staff and entertainment. Rooms very well kept and clean, maid service daily. Food was very good with plenty of choice. Onsite facilities were good with great indoor pool as weather was bad. Resort was not so good as most places were derelict and there was nowhere to go, the beach was awful and dirty. Our next visit will be back to Sousse as it has a lot more to offer and is geared up for tourists."

Should Be Bulldozed
"We have just retuned from the Belair Hotel, and what a disgusting hotel this is. The rooms were dirty, split matresses, sheets that did'nt fit and stained blankets. Bathroom with craked and broken floor/wall tiles stained bath, rusted shoer/towel rail and towels which were grey/threadbare/stained and mould/fungus on the wallin the bathroom and bedroom. Dining room was not much better, had to find your own cutlery most of the time, stained tableclothes, food either cold or dried out and very repetative, extortionate bar prices. No heating the the main hotel areas, and little or no entertainment. Also music blaring out of bar/cheersbar and entertainers bedroom until 3/4am every day. Bowling alley/tennis courts advertised have not been in use for several years. Dont go to this hotel whatever the price! "
