A little piece of paradise with a great host!
"I went to Anna of Zanzibar with my inlaws, during the christmas holidays. It was a perfect vacation, not in the least because of the hospitality. The service was excellent. Even though there was no electricity on the whole island, Michael made sure the generator worked, and that we had aircon, fans and warm water. He even organized a authentic swahili dinner for us, with a band, dancers and a decorated hut. It was absolutely beautiful. We even had full speed internet in our rooms. I would recommend it with 100% confidence!"

"we had 5 wonderful days in this gorgeous and very private little hotel. the service was perfect, very friendly and familiar. it was always a pleasure to have breakfast and lunch in this beautiful little cabana near the beach and dinner (don't miss the seafood barbecue!) near the pool under the tropical sky. because of the tide it is not always possible to swim in the sea, but there is a very nice pool with four cabanas (one for every bungalow) around the pool, so that you don't really miss the sea."

Unique holiday experience
"We (a three-generation mixture) visited Zanzibar in October 2009 and had a wonderful stay at Annas. The property literally is located on the beach only 50 meters to the sea. The beach is nice and clean â it looks like a postcard. The resort consists out of only four villas and this gives a very personal touch and overall appeal. The suites were clean, tidy, spacious and decorated with great style. There are several locations to relax and to enjoy the day: various pergolas, the shisha lounge, different porches and several living rooms. The hot spot for the kids was without doubt the freshwater pool. We were most impressed by Mike (manager) and his staff. Everybody was more than helpful to make our stay a pleasant one. A trip to Stone Town and to a spice farm, deep water fishing, diving lessons as well as massages were organized for us. The food was really excellent - served on the beach, at the poolside or at the verenda. The highlight was the grilled gilthead seabream, the result of the morning fishing. The next time we are in Zanzibar, we will be staying here again! Thank you Mike, Timothy, Ben and James and all other staff members."

Staying at Anna of Zanzibar is a perfect indulgence
"We arrived at Anna of Zanzibar after a safari trip in Kenya and found a spot of Paradise to relax in. We were greeted by fabulously friendly hosts and breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. We walked barefoot to our villa (one of only four) and didn't wear shoes again for the next 7 days. Highlights of the stay for us: eating our delicious breakfast on the terrace, eating out delicious lunch by the beach and eating our delicious dinner under the stars by the swimming pool. The food really was excellent and served by the lovely Benny (who also treated us to cocktails by the beach and pool). Diving trips, a trip to Stone Town and massages by the beach were also organized for us with ease. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Anna of Zanzibar and cannot wait to return."

Wow this is Paradise!
"Anna of Zanzibar is a fabulous boutique hotel in a stunning tropical beach setting. The Indian Ocean and clear white sands form a picture postcard backdrop while the ocean laps at the shore. It truly is heaven. The staff are very professional and helpful without being over fussy. The food was absolutely delicious coming as a minimum of four courses every meal. We had to run and swim daily just to make sure we could eat all the tasty treats! There are four private villas so the maximum number of guests would be about eight. However I am sure that with all the different pergolas, shisha lounge, several living rooms, various porches, pool and of course the beach itself to choose from one could always find a quiet spot to contemplate life. Anna of Zanzibar can also offer all the expected water sports and activities for the more active holidaymaker. A massage in a beach hut at the bottom of the garden as we listened to the tide rhythmically lapping at the shore was an experience not to be missed. As a honeymoon destination this is a fantastic place to go and made our honeymoon unforgettable. As a place to holiday and recharge after a safari, this hotel fits the bill also."

Top class, service, food, friendliness, beachlocation, accomodation.
"As we entered Anna of Zanzibar we could feel the atmosphere of genuine friendliness, class, and see we were entering a small peace of heaven. We were welcomed as to a home, and the sincere friendliness continued for all of our stay. The service we received I have never experienced anywhere else in this continent. Location wise the garden with lots of flowers and plants are beautiful, the beach only few meters away are amazing, and also the wonderful spa location and offers gives the extra you need ! Never ever did I taste such an icecream my daughter of 3 says, I can only agree! And not only the icecream, but every meal is a true pleasure, going on for very hours - on the beach, at the poolside, at the veranda, or in the dining room. At Anna you dont have rules and regulations, you have - a small piece of heaven!"
