"My wife and I stayed here on 18th November 2007. For 3 days. Weather was hot and lovely. People very friendly, with a dis-like for their government. I can recommend a lobster tavern and sushi bar called panama jacks on quay 500. This is a seafood restaurant and one of the best we ate at. It is the second road left after Cape Yacht club. We visited the botanical gardens, which was a great day out. There are nine national botanical gardens here. Finally the best was Table Mountain. We arrived there got in the lift to the top it was breathtaking. The Cape of Good Hope is home to 250 species of birds! Word of warning. After 6:30 the cable car is 1/2 price. We also went to the bird of prey centre at Stellenbosch. I had a bald eagle land on my arm. Another restaurant we went to was Wharf Side grill at Mariners wharf, Hout Bay harbour. This was very nice too. We also ate at Harveyâs restaurant. There I had lamb. At Cape point is an Ostrich farm. Do you miss out on this it was fantastic. The hotel was pleasant. We only stayed here for 3 days but it was clean. Overall the people are very friendly and I found it to be a very safe country."
