Charming Riad in the centre of Medina
"A charming Riad in a very central location in the Medina. The host Antoine made sure that our stay was as comfortable and pleasurable as possible, providing us with local information on the area as well as helping us to book trips out of Marrakesh.
On the first night, we stayed in the Riad and the food and wine served was outstanding. Excellent company and very relaxing. Everything was catered for us and nothing was too much of a problem.
The Riad internally is absolutely stunning and has a real 'arts and crafts' feel to it, retaining its character. The room itself had a real Marrakeshi look to it with a gorgeous bathroom. Very clean and tidy.
A great place to stay."

Relaxing and comfortable!
"I chose to stay at this riad for the excellent reviews I saw on tripadvisor. It was my first time in morocco and had not idea where to stay.
The reviews were right, this is a wonderful place to stay!! I stayed for three nights and they were great! The riad is in a great location, just 5 minutes walking distance from the Djemaa el Fna but away from noise. The place is very quiet, very relaxing, beautifully decorated. The host Antoine is wonderful as well, very helpful, very kind and friendly, he even gave me a secret recipe. The breakfast was delicious but didn´t have the chance to try dinner.
I will always remember the last night I stayed there where we had wine and snacks with the host Antoine and some other guests. It was a great night!
I would definitely visit this riad again!"

A Marvel in Marrakesh
"We selected this riad for it's looks and reviews and were not dissapointed. We arrived after midnight following a delayed flight and the pick-up, arranged by the riad, all worked like clock-work.
Once at the Riad we were warmly met by Antoine who we immediately got along well with. He was the perfect host who made us feel like we were his house guests rather than clients. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he took us personally into the place dejmaa el fna the next day and made sure that we wouldn't get lost or ripped off - which we didn't!
Normally we like to find our own way arround when we travel but Antoine was so unobtrusive and genuine that not only did we value his advice but we also really liked having him arround. On the other hand it also felt like we had the whole place to ourselves as he'd only appear when needed.
The riad is beautiful, even better than the website suggests and the staff were charming, helpful and cheerful.
Again, out of chararcter for us, we asked Antoine to arrange a day trip into the mountains to visit a Berber village. At £40 per person this was excellent value and included transport, English speaking local guide, fantastic picnic lunch, walk and tour of a village. Maybe you can get this a bit cheaper if you take the risk of arranging it yourself but this is a guaranteed, high quality trip with excellent guide and picnic staff.
We had a celebration evening meal whilst at Aguerzame and again this was of the highest standard, beatifully prepared and served making it a very special evening.
Aguerzame is centrally situated, less than 10 minutes walk to the square and easy to find with Antoine's instuctions and maps.
The attention to detail and genuine focus on the clients enjoyment and comfort, with staff allways going the extra mile, made this a very special stay - highly reccomended."

An oasis of calm
"From the moment of our arrival in Marrakech, we knew that this holiday would be different! It was a bit of a hassle getting through immigration but the driver arranged through Antoine was ready and waiting to take us to Riad Aguerzame.   Don't ever try to find this location by yourself as it is located within the narrow alleys of the medina.  Even some of the taxis cannot find their way around the medina so book taxis to and from the airport via Antoine (the cost is added to your final account so forget having to have ready cash in either dirhams or euros).  There are plenty of ATMs in Marrakesh within 10 mins walk of the riad. Riad Aguerzame is beautiful and is everything it promised to be and more besides. Both Antoine and his staff are " special". They are extremely helpful, friendly and warm people who go out of their way to make your stay with them a truly memorable experience.   Antoine is an English speaking Frenchman and his staff speak French when they are not smiling.   There were seven of us in our party and we all enjoyed the varied breakfasts that were on offer with fresh orange juice, pancakes potato cakes, lovely fresh bread, fruit and homemade jams and marmalades to die for!  The evening meals were Moroccan specialities which were delicious and enjoyed with copious amounts of delicious Moroccan wine and beer.   At the end of four days their stock of wine was seriously depleted.  After our first guided trip through the alleys of the medina, it was fairly easy to get to and from the riad although it can be tricky avoiding bicycles, scooters and the occasional donkey. At no time did any of us feel threatened by having to walk through these narrow alleys - the local people including the teenagers and children are polite and friendly and are ever helpful in showing you the way if you look bewildered and lost.   They may ask for money at the end of the "tour" but that is the way of life in the medina.  The colour, smells and vibrancy in the souks is an experience not to be missed.   Go to Marrakesh, stay at Riad Aguerzame and you will have an experience to last a lifetime. We all did and can still smell the spices 'cos we brought some home!!!  As an extra treat go to the hammam - you will return smelling of either roses or lemons and won't want to wash for a week!"

The friendliest host in Morroco
"We stayed at the riad for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The riad is decorated very tastefully but the best thing about the riad is the host Antoine. He truly loves Morroco and has turned his riad into a passion and lifestyle rather than a business. He goes out of his way to help guests feel at home and provides as much guidance around the city as needed. This means he personally walks you to the main square (about 15minutes away) pointing out landmarks and interesting cultural quirks. Also he thinks nothing of offering a glass of wine or tea to you as he would friends. Other riads use this opportunity to charge through the roof for these extras.
Although our room was slightly small I think we did get the cheapest room in the riad and it was decorated beautifully. Also Antoine was thoughtful to leave an electric heater as well as the fan heater in the room saying that the electric one was noiseless if we wanted to use it.
The only improvement I could suggest would be with breakfast. Maybe some pastries or yoghurt in addition to the bread and jam would have been more filling.
Overall it was a wonderful experience and we would definitely recommend this riad."

Great Riad, Recomended!
"Great riad in a good location - pretty much everything is close to hand.
Beautifully and stylish in a traditional manner. Very comfortable room.
Antoine was a great host and made us feel very welcome and at home - even taking us personally to show us the way to the Djemma el Fnaa. Very nice dinner on the first evening.
Would very much recommend."

A Tranquil Retreat
"Cannot reccomend this Riad highly enough.
We stayed 4 nights and each was an absolute pleasure.
The Riad is so calm and tranquil, a complete opposite of the hustle and bustle of the souks. Which are fantastic in their own right.
Located in the medina the Riad is owned and run by the very hospitable Antoine and his family.
Antoine was the perfect host, making us so welcome and comfortable. Nothing was too much for him.
He arranged for us to experience a wonderful Hammam at the sister Riad, 107. This is a must for anyone.
He also arranged for us to hike in the Atlas mountains and have lunch with a delightful Berber family. An experience not to be missed.
Antoine cooked for us on 2 evenings and I can honestly say his tagine was better than that of the local restaurants - absolutely delicious.
Returned home absolutely chilled out from this trip.
An amaising experience made all the better by Antoine.
Cannot suggest any changes or improvements to the Riad - perfect !"

Amazing Riad Aguerzame
"Beautiful decor, great location, wonderful hospitality!
Riad Aguerzame is an amazing place - quiet comfortable rooms with opulent furnishings reflecting the colours of the area. Views from the sun terrace are stunning and the open courtyard where breakfast is served, a perfect place to start the day.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and Antoine the perfect host, offering advice and guidance which proved invaluable for our first time in Marrakech.
Their second guesthouse Riad 107 offers a full Hammam service which proved to be an unmissable experience - definitely recommended!
Riad Aguerzame is situated in the heart of the Medina and is ideal for soaking up the atmosphere at Jemaa al Fna and so many other fascinating areas.
Our stay exceeded all expectations and I cannot recommend the Riad or the host too highly - we can't wait to go back!"

Brilliant Riad- Wonderful Hosts
"I cannot reccomend this hotel enough. The rooms are beautifully decorated around a lovely central courtyard with 2 orange trees, where guests can eat breakfast every morning. Antoine and Mathilde are the perfect hosts, even getting up at 5am to make breakfast for us on the morning that we departed.
If I ever return to Marrakech then I would definitely stay here."

Beautiful and friendly riad
"Riad Aguerzame is run by Antoine and Mathilde Gély; they have turned it into a lovely and intimate guesthouse with a great sun terrace and views over the Koutoubia Mosque. The service is impeccable and the ambience very relaxed. They are very accommodating hosts, ready to help organise trasfers/tours and offer advice on anything you might ask them about. Antoine and Mathilde are great to chat to - they have led very varied and interesting lives and enjoy sitting with their guests to chat. The atmosphere is very chilled out.
The room we had was comfortable and quiet; we got up when we felt like it and breakfast was served to suit us. There are only three rooms available for rent at this riad which means it is very intimate, as the hosts also live here. They run a second guesthouse, 'Riad 107' just up the road which is also lovely and offers a full hammam service, which was excellent. The vibe is different at the two riads so it is nice to use the facilities at both.
We had a marvellous stay over New Year and wouldn't hesitate to go back. The only small improvement could be a wider selection at breakfast, although the homemade jams were delicious.
We enjoyed a great table d'hote evening with the hosts and a group of guests from both Riads, and sampled a delicous Morroccan salad, Sardine dish, Morroccan crumble and pastries to go with the obligatory mint tea.
A beautiful and reasonably priced riad in a great location - 5 minutes walk from Jemaa el Fna."
