good budget hotel
"On arrival to airport many taxi drivers were asking in the region of 120 to 150 dirhams (£10 at the moment is £160 dirhams). However managed to get this down to 70 dirhams after walking to the main road. Ryad Magador is in a good position between the new and old parts of marrakech. Made a mistake of walking through the soak areas for a short cut to the dle jmna square took at least 2hrs to find it. Best route is to follow the old wall of the old city when you walk out of hotel to your right. Hotel is good value for maney found rooms were cleaned every morning. Breakfast was ok but nothing speacial. I would book again because its does represent what you have paid. Staff freindly but do not speak much English. Bathrooms clean but could do with renewing. Did a lot of walking to see most of the city however found taxis all charged different prices you must haggle with them as the price given is mostly inflated for tourists. It should cost you no more than 10 dirhams to the new town Guilez or the old town jmna Square. On occasions paid 20 dirhams as could not be bothered to argue as 10 dirhams is only 60pence approx. Expect all shops to inflate prices by 3 to 5 times. take a calculator and work out what is being charged in pounds."
