"Stayed for 8 nights at this hotel which is about 15-20 minutes far from airport. hotel is about 20-25 minutes by car from Jemma el fna (old city). There is a hotel mini bus that has drop off and pick up to both the new and old town, however you need to book day before. The hotel is situated in quite location, a distance from the city and local shops are a short drive. We stayed in room 2005 which was a great family room on the first floor, with a double bed and a sing bed. A nice looking reception area with sofas and WiFi in the hall and in the bar areas. The all inclusive we found a little restrictive, the breakfast was good, lunch ok and evening meals only had a full of selection for cooked food. Majority of the time we found the food to be the same and mild. In the first couple of days they provided us a bottle of water when we were having our lunch or dinner but as we stayed longer they refused to give water. inclusive soft drinks were served in a tiny plastic cups which was frustrating as you only allowed to order 2 at a time and had to keep going back to make several trips. Same issue with 'mineral' water, there were only water dispensers around the resort with tiny cups. The main pool is not huge and the quite pool was nice for relaxing. The Slides are good but closed during lunch times. There are 2 table tennis tables and tennis courts and an area for beach volleyball. The resort has lovely trees and great paths for walking around the resort its not huge but is well kept and clean. Nice large room with separate WC, and shower room which was cleaned daily. Overall a great hotel. "

"The hotel is lovely, and the pool area is great. The food is very repetitive and not much vegetarian option. The animation team are really good especially Gabriel a who is full of beans. Miriam at guest relations is very approachable and always makes you welcome. There's not much to do in the evenings in the hotel, the entertainment is mostly in French and the bar closes at 11pm. The last shuttle to the center is at 9.15 but well worth going to. Rashid the rep is very helpful and polite, and goes out of his way to help you. Had a brilliant holiday at Atlas Targa Resort."

Disappointing ,poor staff -deposits-service and Luke warm food .
"Well ,what can I say maybe never again...".. I think I could write pages and pages of poor service,food,pool,staff etc... You have to pay deposit and everything even a towel which is 100 Diirhams each which is equivalent to Â£16 pounds for a small old blue towel for two .if you wanted a table tennis another 200 Dirhams Â£16 ,held together with insulating tape . The main pool is murky ,you can not see the bottom in 2-3 foot of water which is a concern. Food : Luke warm and not good at all ,all buffet like canteen ....did have microwave mind ,hence we could warm food to 70-80 oC .Queues for an egg ,table not cleared after each course ,so table has starter ,main,desert plus cups ,glasses and yet staff stand in groups chatting . Queues again for coffee in cosy bar ,11 minutes to get a coffee ,imagine queues each time you went for drink ,could spend over 1 hour a day queuing . cosy bar evening Queues yet again for a drink ,Only one person working and very slow indeed and yet you will always see staff there chatting ,I was beginning to think they were doing it on purpose to see a line of paying customers waiting .complained to reception and told them to get someone to actually work . No glasses ,just giving a bottle and if I had a local whiskey they even put it in a plastic beaker awful .if you ask for glass they try and find and ask you to return when finished . The service was absolute appalling ,never Hello ,Good Evening ,Sir,Madame ..nothing just a stare ....it was like they were doing you a favor . WiFi not good 3 days of stay no WiFi reception same excuse and not very helpful... Words fail me on how bad the service and staff were .... How this hotel is still operating with the level of incompetent and rude staff is astonishing .... "

WORST PLACE I HAVE STAYED FOR A ALL INCLUSIVE HOTEL
"Arrived at 10am rooms not ready cant get till 1.0pm staff on desk not very helpfull.all inclusive drink a joke allways running out.staff behind bar was slower than a snail!!.if u are french just push in and get served first staff did not like english they where rude and very missable!!!.as for the food it was the worst food ever cold and tasteless mcdonalds up road got more trade than resturant. "

Nice hotel - bad location
"Lovely, clean hotel. Our family room had a king size bed, single bed and a sofa type bed, with plenty space for the kids to play around. Large balcony, but no furniture! Restaurant/bar often ran out of soft drinks. Breakfast was the same every day â rolls, pancakes, runny (very) scrambled eggs, tomatoes, potatoes, ham, cheese, jams, etc., together with diluted orange juice. Dinner was different every evening, always with a couple of Moroccan dishes, but also with a European type chicken/fish dish. Pool was large and never overcrowded. Some tiles were missing from the bottom and need to be replaced before accidents happen! The pool games were quite well organised, although sometimes overtook the pool and you felt you either had to join in or get out the pool. Why anyone wanted to join in a step class in a 40 degree heat was beyond us! Although our kids didnât join the kids club it appeared very well run and the kids seemed to be kept busy and happy. The minibus to the centre of Marrakech runs 3 or 4 times daily. Very handy because the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere and had no shops within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would return in the future. The only major downside of our holiday â nothing to do with the hotel â was âpassport controlâ at the airport â no control whatsoever!!! We spent over 2 hours âqueuingâ before we eventually got through, when we discovered that our pre-arranged pick-up had left, obviously thinking we hadnât arrived! Our young kids were nearly crushed. TIP - do what the locals do â spread out, join different queues, push in where you can. It certainly seemed to work for them!"

Worst food in Morocco
"Atlas Targa resort is far from the city. It is very clean and well taken care of. The rooms are large and nice. Here ends the positive about this hotel. The staff is not friendly and doesnt seem to care about you at all. The place has no atmosphere or ambience what so ever. Everythiong feels plastic and artificial. You cant even compare this hotel to the beautiful riads you can stay in in Morocco. The food was, and I am not exaggerating, the absolutely worst, boring and tasteless crap we ate in Morocco for 14 days (luckily, we only stayed one day in Atlas Targa). But in the hotels defence, I have to admit they gave us the money back for the dinner (witch was 180 dirhams per person, a LOT for a restaurant in Morocco) after I complained to the restaurant manager."

5* for marrakech!
"Marrakech is not a clean country hell lot of mosquitos the room was full of them but this hotel was amazing as there is no beach near by they are around 2 hours away so it only makes sense if you are going to stay in a city make sure your hotel is nice. Free shuttle bus goes into Medina 3x a day but we did go in June and we always got on but do bear in mind Peak times (july august) this bus will be busy. You really have to haggel the taxi drivers as they do tend to bump you. but hotel was lovely, breakfast very basic only had breakfast once. Nice little fridge and safe in the room. And brilliant size family rooms but location is middle of no where and you cannot go town without bus or car. Spa is amazing I strongly recommend the Hammus I think it's called its where the lady gives you a full body scrub and washes you we did it the last day and you jus feel refreshed ready to come back home!"

"Great looking, brand new, hotel, but awful location. Reception staff the worst I have ever come across. Rude, unhelpful and untrustworthy. Resort Reps were a young and nice bunch of people, especially the trainee kids playgroup leader, who was lovely with our little boy. Food was terrible. The chef gave me a plate which he had put on the hotplate. It burned my hand and when he realized what had happened he then turned away and laughed. Words were had. Even saying hello or smiling seemed to be a problem for most of the customer services staff. How ironic. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESORT."

It could be anywhere!
"We stayed here as guests of easyJet for a week until it was deemed safe to fly. We had already had 5 days in a Riad in Marrakech which had been excellent. Atlas is one of those places that can be found anywhere with an attractive climate. It smacks of the 'all-inclusive', 'never leave the resort', go home with a suntan' type of place. It is an hour and a half walk into Marrakech. Why walk and not use the shuttle bus? To go on the shuttle bus is to queue (something we polite British do well) only for rude continentals to push in as the bus arrives! This does not concern the staff or management, along with the long queues for self-service meals of mediocre quality. The rooms are clean and comfortable and well maintained. The facilities are kept well. Sadly, most of the staff are unhelpful and surly. What does a smile cost? A souless place where the swimming pool and sunbeds represent the main focus."

Lets be serious
"hi all clean hotel, great animation staff for entertainment.. food is the same day after day, lots of gristle with the meat dishes, all the food is tasteless, bread is always stale. overcharged for all drinks from dining area. If you are Muslim be carefull with the food, nothing is marked as halal, has ham in some in salad dishes. After the first day you will get fed up with the quality of the food, while i was there all the guests there complained about the food, The staff don't even like the food, but obviously they cannot say anything, The manager walks around all day long without a smile, not very friendly. In the dining area make sure you dont pay the waiters for the drinks, always pay at the till, otherwise you will get a big bill when you check out.The main desk staff are stuck up, always welcome you at check in then they are stiff and sometimes rude in a polite way. swimming pool and other facilities were always kept clean by staff. they have a shuttle service that runs on schedule to the old city which is good. Beware if you order a taxi to to the hotel to take you anywhere, you will get ripped off, the hotel has a SPECIAL arrangement with the local taxi firms, We were stuck there because of the ash cloud, on they day of the flight out the hotel refused to call me us a taxi,they said there were taxis available, the city has thousands of taxis, we never had a problem any other day getting a taxi to the airport, which usually cost us 100 dirhams, they had a freind with a people carrier outside that was waiting for customers, while i was at the desk trying to get a taxi, the desk staff said to the driver of the people carrier "just wait, they are going nowhere, they will have to get in your vehicle", we had no choice but to pay the hotel 300 Dirhams before we got onto the vehicle. Dont expect the staff at the desk to do you any favours. Usually we had to pay a taxi driver as soon as the driver got us to the destination. The wireless internet is "Disgusting" it has all been configured wrong. They have an adsl line that comes in, the single adsl line is split into three adsl routers for 3 networks, their admin networks is stable, but the public wireless network is beyond ridiculous, you will be able to connect to the internal wireless network, but you will be lucky if you can get out to the internet, it's always hit and miss. Highly unreliable. Everyone had problems with the internet. The desk staff were no help all, they kept blaming the provider and told evryone just to keep trying. The had a couple of guys that had "technician" badges on thier blazers, they had no idea what they were doing, all they did in the comms rooms was unplug the routers and then power them back up again. The problem was with the routers. and the way they split the adsl line 3 ways.. I am a network engineer.. so i know what i am talking about.. i had a look in the comms room and saw the mess they had created. wirless is available only on ground floor area, mainly around the lobby area.. unreliable anywhere else, (that is wireless connection to the internal network, doesnt mean you will get to the internet) also the electrics in the place really need looking at i went into a room and there was a wire coming out from the back of a light switch, i followed the wire, it went to a 4-way trailing socket. there was a dell base unit, a 17" lcd screen, an A3 printer and a 32" samsung lcd tv all plugged into it.. ALL THAT FROM THE BACK OF A LIGHT SWITCH.. so be carefull with the electrics, they dont follow the IEE regs for anything. The lifts in the hotel had a mind of their own.. sometimes they worked and other times you just had to use the service elevators.. was a pain sometimes. In a nutshell: reccomend eating out, arrange your own transport, unrelaible internet. be very carefull with the value added services. sparky"

Hotel OK, shame about the location and staff
"I stayed here for 4 days with my husband and 2 children (12 and 10). I chose the hotel because it was one of the few offering a family room, and looked clean and modern. Reviews on the Booking.com site suggested this wasnÂ´t a problem with the shuttle to the centre. The hotel itself is fine - clean, spacious, new, good swimming pool. But itÂ´s a long way from anywhere (20 minutes minimum and a 300 dirham (30 euros) return taxi ride. Never used the shuttle - the staff don`t tell you about it and are vague about the timetable. In fact they are vague about many things; itÂ´s the first time IÂ´ve ever been told by reception staff, when asked for advice on the best sights to see in a city, to ask the taxi driver. They were hopeless (no restaurant recommendations, clueless on sports equipment, no maps of the area outside the city.......). The service everywhere in the hotel is good-natured but shambolic. The food in the restaurant is not very good, though the breakfasts are OK. The service and average food wouldnÂ´t be a problem if the hotel was closer to the centre, or to anywhere with other facilities. It didnÂ´t help that while we were there, the hotel was 90% occupied by a large group (celebrating a Jewish religious festival, it seemed). So there was perhaps a lower standard of attention to other guests than would be normally be the case. If all you want is a modern clean room, all you want to do is lie by the pool, and donÂ´t mind average food, shambolic service and a long hike to anywhere, this is the place for you."
