my mother love this place
"It was a wonderful time that we spent in Marrakech, the noisy four first nights in the city center and the last quietly three nights in Kasbah Dar Ilham, I was with sister and my mom for what we reserved the master suite with a queen bed and double sofa bed. Thing which initially attracted me is that there is no charge for bed for the third person only breakfast at 10⬠per night. The large swimming pool and heated Jacuzzi very own helpful staff at times it is as if we have known a long time ago. I recommend highly this hotel guesthouse."

"Beautiful hotel & garden. Fantastic heated pool. Excellant food. Luxurious & spacious suite - we were 2 adults & 2 teenage boys occupying the "Ouarzazate Suite". The staff are amazing - nothing is too much trouble. The receptionists organised all our taxis & excursions. The owner goes out of his way to ensure everything is perfect. It was a relief to arrive back to the calm of the kasbah after the hubbub of Marrakech every evening. I would thoroughly reccommend this hotel - specially for couples & families looking to relax & be pampered!! "

A wonderful place to relax away from the city
"We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing four day stay at this beautiful riad. We started our week's holiday with four days to relax and unwind at Riad Dar Ilham, and then spent the next three days in a riad in the middle of the medina. It was a perfect conbination and I would highly recommend it. The medina is fascinating and not to be missed, but I think three days of a week's stay is about right. Stay at Riad Dar Ilham for the first few days of your holiday, and you're sure to arrive in the medina in a relaxed frame of mind. Paul & Sarah"

"Celebrated the new year in Marrakech at the Riad Dar Ilham - and what a stay! Fantastic charming place, wonderful stylish rooms and wonderful heated pool - so nice to be swimming outside i December. Alain and his wonderful, friendly and helpful staff made us feel really comfortable - nothing close to what we had expected. Hope to go back there sometime - and that the same staff and Alain will still be there :)"

Peace and Tranquility outside the Hussle and Bussle
"We went to Riad Dar Ilham just last week and loved the place. Total peace and tranquility outside the hussle and bussle of Marrakech. A wondeful swimmingpool and beautiful gardens. The Staff were the most friendly hosts we have ever met while being on our Travels and we have travelled alot. We loved it so much we are already booking our flights to return in the summer months. The Best Birthday Party - ever!
"I organised a long weekend to celebrate my 40th birthday with 20 people at the Riad Dar Ilham and it was absolutely magnificent. Alain, his wife and their staff were fantastic and made our stay extremely memorable. It was definitely my best birthday ever. I am going back to Dar Ilham for sure. Accomodation - absolutely charming rooms, extremely comfortable, lovely and clean, great bathrooms (i.e.. fantastic showers, baths too, powerful hairdryers, lovely fluffly towels & robes) - everything was 5 star Food - breakfasts were leisurely, delicious, ample and served wherever you wanted. We all wanted by the pool! - lunches, also by the pool, were excellent - dinners - great. The Moroccan food at Dar Ilham was better than at a top Marrakech Medina restaurant, great wine list, and all served just how you wanted it. E.g. on the first evening the staff totally rearranged the dining room so we could all be together on one big table. Birthday Party I organised everything directly with Dar Ilham for a very special birthday party & it was an amazing success. All beautifully executed by the staff. Lay-out of dinner outside was done with a lot of attention to detail (e.g. beautiful tablecloths, candlesticks, flowers), the food was fantastic, wonderful entertainment comprising fire-eater, DJ & belly dancer. Nothing was too much trouble. The Place - Dar Ilham is an exceptionally beautiful place. The setting is fabulous, peaceful, beautiful, relaxed vibe, drinks whenever you wanted them, inviting swimming pools, tents outdoors for shade, very attractive gardens. - The Hammam and massages are fantastic The Prices - Having travelled to many & varied parts of the world, staying sometimes at 5-star hotels & sometimes in very basic accomodation, I always look for value for money, not just out and out luxury. Dar Ilham represents OUTSTANDING value for money. All in all, this place is 5-star hotel quality but better - it feels like home, with added extra of people all around you willing to cater for your every whim, literally."

It's Magnificent (C'est magnifique)!!!
"After the awful british summer we were glad to get away to Morroco, but even more so to this little gem of a place. We were reluctant to share how good this oasis was in an attempt to keep it our little secret, but it would be a shame not to tell the world how good Kasbah Dar llham really is. Arriving at the Kasbah is a delightful experience as you drive down a flower covered avenue, which became the start of our five days of indulgence and luxury. Our room (Zagora suite) was tastfully decorated in a lavish morrocan style, complete with four poster bed and deep bath. Attention to detail is magnificient, with what seems no expense spared. What made our stay all the more pleasurable was both the quality of the food and the exceptional level of service. Each meal was a home cooked tasty morrocan dish, complimented by an extensive list of locally produced morrocan wines. During our stay the staff, especially Melika and Hakima, were very helpful. They were always smiling and made our stay hassle and stress free. To aid this we would recommend the hammam and massage, in particular the deal which provides you with both, daily. Fantastic value and a real unwind. Adjecent to the kasbah is the Riad. Alain the owner was able to show us around, this was also of a high standard and matched the look and feel of the Kasbah. The pool is large and we spent most of our time lounging around it, although the staff are happy to provide you with assistance in booking excursions. Thank you to Alain and his wonderful staff, we will see you next year!!!"

Don't miss this special place
"Our first trip to Morocco, with three children 3, 7 & 10. Arrived tired and hot to this dream Riad, for a 3 night stay. The staff are charming and attentive and the rooms were lovely (air-con). The food was delicious and overwhelming in quantity! We stayed in the Kasbah dar Ilham which has 7 suites & a room, where we had a suite and room next to each other, and there is the Riad dar Ilham next door with 4 rooms/suites. There is a hamman and a massage room where we had a very good massage. The children played in the pool, which was child friendly and even had an inflatable boat for them to use. However it was a peaceful haven where you could drink mint tea and read your book, even when there was another family with children there with us. There are lots of board games which the children played endlessly during the heat of the day and our 3 year old got lots of attention from the staff. There is also a television in the salon which has sky/dvd player and my husband was found more than once sitting at reception sending a few emails. Rooms are turned down promptly and requests for early tea for the little one or milk were easily arranged. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we went back five days later for the final 3 days of our holiday. To see the sights they can arrange a car for you, which is cheaper than the airport taxis, and we had a guide one morning to take us around the souk. The stay was so relaxing and extremely good value for money. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone, young and old. Alain the owner gives the impression that this place runs itself but must work very hard behind the scenes as the service, cleanliness, food etc were all top standard."

an oasis of calm outside the busy city
"We stayed as a family for five nights in three of the four rooms in the main riad. Alain is the owner, a Frenchman who knows how to run a good establishment in the more "relaxed" ways of Morooco! The staff were so helpful and the building and garden were very beautiful. Book direct and save some money!"

"The Riad is great, we did not stay at the riad but at the building next door. The Riad is more beautiful but that was booked. The food was great, the best we had in a long time. The rooms where very good, and the pool was nice as well. The staff was very very helpfull. A very good place to stay. I had a massage eveyday and that was very relaxing."
