This Riad deserves at least 6 out of five!
"This Riad is awonderful place. It is a mile or so from the Medina but go for the tranquility. We have never stayed in a hotel anywhere in the world that beats the welcome and care that the owners and staff give you. From the time you rise in the morning to the time you go to bed at night nothing is too much trouble. Everything is done quietly and serenely. The restaurant is fabulous and again the attention to detail and the ability to meet your requirements is tremendous. You will not be sorry that you made the choice to stay here!"

A Great Holiday
"We had a wonderful holiday at Al Fassia le aguedal. The rooms were large with a large bathroom a nd Myra and her staff were extremely helpful and friendly. As many others have previously mentioned the food is fantastic and ranked as one of the best restaurants in Marrakech. The hotel is a 15 to 20 min walk out of town and if you get a taxi it takes around 5 mins and costs in the region of £3 with haggling. They also have lovely gardens and a superb swimming pool attached to the hotel. We stayed at the hotel during the Iceland Volcano eruption, Myra very kindly offer to reduce the room rate by 30% when lots of other hotels were upping their prices to take advantage of the situation. Myra and her staff were always willing to help and even came to the airport to help us get our flight back.. All in all we had a great holiday, when we last came to Marrakech we stayed at Riad El Fenn and this hotel was easily comparable to our previous stay."

Such a brilliant find
"What an ideal place to stay. Yes, it is a mile or so away from the hub of things but to be honest the road and walk that leads down to the centre of Marrakesh is rather pleasant. It's a nice little stretch for running if youre keen on doing some jogging. The hotel has a newly opened shopping mall very closeby, which is handy as there is a huge supermarket there to buy any goodies for your journeys out etc. The staff at Al-Fassia were simply superb. The hospitality and warmth from them all was greatly appreciated. Very accomodating in trying to make you comfortable. They were particularly helpful in trying to find out flight information at the time when Iceland's volcano erupted. The Al-Fassia restaurant attached to the hotel may possbily be the best Moroccan food you taste. Good food, good service and a good idea on making it part of a women's cooperative scheme. The rooms are beautifially decorated and designed. If you get a room with a terrace, you get your own loungers and it's an ideal spot to do a bit of morning yoga (if youre into it)."

A little Gem, A perfect retreat.. a mile or so from the Madness of Central Marrakech..
"Situated between the airport and downtown Marakech.. this is a perfect place to stay... Ran by Myra (pronounced Mira) a charming english speaking lady who will give you as much space or help as required.. this is a little peace of heaven in a rather wonderfully scary city. A short taxi ride to the centre of town.. but far enough away to completely chill... and The Restaurant.... 10/10.. I would eat there every night if I were you... wonderful. And a must is an hour in the Riad's Hamman... a wonderful experience. I would stay here again at the drop of a hat... Perfect."

Exemplary service, luxurious accomodation, excellent restaurant
"We came here to escape the British winter at the end of February 2010, and enjoyed soaring temperatures up to 30C! Found it on Expedia but Thomas Cook packagae was actually cheaper in the end when booked with flight. We mentioned by email that it was our 1st anniversary and when we arrived we discovered we'd been upgraded to a suite at no extra charge! Not only that, but we had the whole Riad to ourselves, so the staff couldn't do enough for us. Whenever we came downstairs, there was someone there, ready to take us to the pool, serve us a drink, or help with a restaurant reservation or taxi. The room was lovely, huge bathroom too, and very quiet. And the pool area was also wonderful, so relaxing, among olive groves. It was freezing cold so we couldn't swim in it, but dipped our feet anyway. There's a spa that goes underground the whole Riad, and we had a fantastic Hammam scrub and massage - which was about £40 each. (You can probably find cheaper in the city, but it was so convenient to just walk downstairs in our robes straight to it! The restaurant on site is really very good too, and serves all sorts of gourmet Moroccan specialities at reasonable prices. It's so well known in Marrakech that people come to it from all over the city. You can walk into the main square in just over half an hour, through lovely gardens, or a taxi will cost about £5 and take 10 mins. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for pure relaxation, excellent service and delightful accomodation."

Luxurious oasis by al fassia
"The women of the famous Al Fassia restaurant host a great hotel! Myra Chab and her team make you feel right at home in Marrakesh and provide a luxurious oasis to come back to while discovering the city and its sourroundings. This hotel is great value for money. We had a really big suite, which was beautifully decorated. The service was VIP treatment! Free of charge they reserved everything and thought with us about what to do of where to eat. According to what suited us. If you're planning a visit to Marrakech this would be a great pick for a hotel!"

Totally relaxing with outstanding service and special touches...
"Stayed here in October of last year for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The place is relatively new but the service was outstanding. The welcome was extremely warm and our entire stay was tailored to our needs...we felt very pampered. The Riad was immaculate and beautifully maintained. The rooms were extremely spacious with beautiful fabrics and materials. There were lots of nice little touches that made the stay extra special like a welcome tea, cakes in the room, turn-down service etc. We had spent 3 nights in the centre of Marrakech which were great but coming here for the next 4 nights was wonderfully relaxing. Little did we know at the time that the restaurant was so well regarded in Marrakech. The food was outstanding and we received a little dish extra for staying in the hotel which was really lovely. All the staff made us feel really welcome and we were given a guided tour. Relaxing in the evening in the salons with a good book was a lovely way to end the day. Our first taxi driver did not know where to take us so make sure you take good directions or arrange transport with the hotel."

Fantastic hotel with excellent service
"I recently spent 3 nights at Al Fassia with my husband and his father. Previous reviews on expedia etc had said that the location was the only downside. We didn't even find this a bother. Infact, it was quite nice to come home to a quiet area after a day walking around Marrakesh. I think they are going to build more hotels in the area which means that there could be construction work going on in the future. We spent our last night in Marrakesh at an old Riad and paid through the nose for it. We found Al Fassia was ten times better than the Riad. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The restaurant serves delicious, top quality food. The best part about the hotel was how helpful and friendly the staff were. I would definitely stay here again."

The whole atmosphere of the hotel was wonderful.
"We have stayed in Al Fassia Aguedal for 5 nights at the end of the year 2009. This hotel is a family owned small hotel. It has a very cozy atmosphere. The people who work for the hotel are very very friendly and we could relax all the time. One of the owners who speaks English, was very kind and friendly and listens to all the requests which we asked. They were very flexibe and had excellent service. The restaurant in the hotel provides one of the famous Morocan's cuisine and it was so delicious. When you are in Marrakech you must go to the restaurant "Al Fassia" ! The lounge with fire was also very comfortable and nice. The only minus thing is that the outdoor swimming pool was too cold to swim. But this is the only minus thing which I can find with this hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other people who are looking for a relaxing vacation."

Best hotel I've ever stayed in!!
"We stayed in Al Fassia Aguedal 2 weeks ago and had an amazing time. The hotel was stunningly beautiful. The staff were wonderful - they couldn't do enough for us - nothing was too much trouble. While I've stayed in 5 star hotels in Europe which have had great staff, the staff here really stood out for their genuine warmth and friendliness as well as their professionalism. It is built around 3 beautiful courtyards with central fountains and perfectly maintained greenery. Our room was spotlessly clean with it's own sun terrace and a big en suite bathroom. There is a lounge with an open fire - very cozy, and a bar. They have a hammam which was great and we had a massage - very relaxing - just the thing after a day in the souks. We ate in the restaurant - delicious moroccan food - tangines with lamb and chicken with various vegetables. there seemed to be good veggie options (we are both meat eaters - and the meat was far too good to try the veggies). They had a good wine list of both local and European wines. For us it was the perfect romantic getaway."
