Amazing Riad located in a charming neighbourhood in the Fés Medina
"I enjoyed an amazing stay at Riad Verus. The building itself is very impressive and authentically restored Riad. The main courtyard and rooftop are fantastic, providing a relaxed ambiance for socialising with other travellers. Leonara, Noor and Joseph were all superlative hosts who were very warm and relaxed, providing accurate and helpful service. Would definitely stay here again, highly recommended!"

Wonderful, cosy Riad - beautifully restored
"I was impressed from the first moment with this stunning renovation. Leanora and her husband have clearly invested a great deal of time and money into making this a superb Riad, traditional yet fully equipped to ensure that any guest is comfortable, and has all he/she could need to relax. The atmosphere is one of rich warmth and opulent decoration whilst not over-stepping the mark. A truly Morrocan experience. Leanora was very attentive and gave us all sorts of advice about the local area. I would fully recommend this wonderful Riad - I am already looking forward to going back next year!"

Beatiful, comfortable and cosy place in the Medina of Fes
"We found Riad Verus through Wikitravel and was convinced by their website http://www.riadverus.com/ Turns out it is a newly built Riad, and the treatment is excellent. It is located close to the well known Riad Sheherezade (you would want to tell the taxi driver to take you there, because it is a point of reference), in walking distance of the Blue Gate and the rest of The Medina. For people who live in Spain (as we do) it is easy to pay upfront through their La Caixa account. We arrived tired after a long journey in train from Tangier and it was just so good to sit down and relax in the traditional moroccan atrium. Leonora, who runs the riad alongside her husband Noureddine, welcomed us with warm mint tea and pleasant conversation. We stayed in the Caecilius (double bed suite) and it was really everything we could ask for: beatifully decorated in green and blue colours, hot water (not always a given in Morocco), airconditioning, international TV. The morning light is reflected thorugh coloured class windows and gives the curtains a blue, green and purple glow. Breakfast at our balcony was perfect. Leonora provided us with a map of the Medina, indicated strategic places of interest and called for a guide to show us around. All in all we couldn't be more happy with our stay. We are just sorry not to have stayed longer, and hope to go back there in summer to enjoy the roof terrace and maybe go on a trip to the desert."

beautiful Riad in Fes, great location
"Riad Verus is a beautifully restored riad, not far from the Bab Boujeloud in the old medina, in a quiet street. I stayed for three nights in the dorm room (3 persons). The managers Leanora and Nour are very helpful and know the city very well. The traditional Moroccan breakfast was really good. There is also a very nice roof terrace, a great place to relax during the evening!"

Out of all the riads we've stayed in, this is the best!
"We had so much fun staying in Riad Verus, the hosts were very kind and helpful. It has been done up beautifully.. having stayed in a few riads in Morocco, we thought that this was one of the most authentic. It is testament to the owners as apparently it has only recently opened but had such a chilled vibe that it seemed it had been open for years. Looking forward to coming back! Thank you for a wonderful time!"

Wonderful location in safe area of exciting Fes with great service.
"I loved being in the best and safest part of the ancient medina of Fes but with all the newly renovated and comfortable luxuries of Riad Verus. Great staff and friendly service and a wonderful roof terrace with views across the Medina of the old city with fun and great thought to little extra details like that of a section of the roof partly housing a Berber tent giving atmosphere to soak up history."

Hardware excellent, software slightly dodgy.
"We stayed at a twin-sharing room in the riad. Both Nor and Nora were very welcoming during our initial entry, especially as it rained. Room was great, superb facilities and definitely a good place to rest after a hectic day spent at the medina. However, I felt the enthusiasm sort of dampened in the subsequent nights spent there. Only one caution towards the budget-conscious: Do shop around for alternative guided tours, as their offer given to us was far from competitvely priced. A short walk in the medina gave us a better picture. Also, while Nor offered to have an exchange of mobile phones as a gesture of "friendship", I realised that the phone that I received was not in working condition when I returned home. Whether this was intentional or otherwise, I felt this was quite a pity on my side. Nevertheless, still can recommend this riad as a comfortable (though slightly pricey) place to stay in Fes."

A lovely riad in an excellent location
"The Riad Verus is a great place to stay in Fes. It's in an excellent location within the Medina, very close to the Blue Gate, but it is in a quiet street so you're guaranteed a peaceful stay. The Riad is beautiful, you can see the hard work that has gone into restoring the building. Our room was lovely, very spacious with traditional Moroccan decor but also modern amenities such as a flat screen tv and iPod speakers to play your music. Whilst the building itself is very very nice, it is made all the better by the kindness and hospitality of the owners who have a great knowledge of Fes and offer many things to make your stay as varied and interesting as possible. I would definitely recommend the Riad Verus to anyone who wants to experience all Fes has to offer but also wants a far more personal experience than you get from just any hotel."

Great stay in Fez
"Had an amazing stay at this Riad which has recently been totally refurbished. The opening nights drinks was the highlight of the stay. Just looking over the median from the roof terrace was stunning. The rooms were spacious and have wide screen TV and I-pod docking station and authenic but modern bathrooms. If your going to one place next year i'd definately recommend going to Riad Verus in Fez!"
