Oasis of calm in Fes
"Stayed in this Riad for 3 days. It's located right in the heart of the old medina of Fez (hard to find without help). Like all riads it's blank on the outside and wonderfully furnished inside, calm and cool and designed with the detail and design we came to expect. The staff are charming, the comfort good and the food great (especially good for me, a veggie). If you want to be located in this extraordinary medieval medina, then consider this place."

"This place exceeded all our expectations - the staff were brilliant, helpful and extremely professional. It was very well run. We dined here too and had the best meal of our trip. Naima arranged a very entertaining and knowledgeable guide who took us out for the day at a fair price. The riad was easy to get to by taxi and convenient to the shops. They even varied breakfast as we stayed 2 nights. I can't imagine what they could do to improve this riad!"

"In the small sized Guesthouses, this must be one of the best. The house is cosy, with a cute little swiming pool, the view on the top terrace is gorgious and the kitchen personnel is outstanding. Even the little pancakes in the morning are home made. Just perfect. Nicolas (future neighbour)"

The most beautiful Riad
"An excellent raid with impeccable service. Not the first time i have stayed there and definetly not the last. Naima is heaven sent with her advice, hospitality and service all of which is spot on. If you want standard luxury then stay at the palace jamais, if you want luxury with a personnel touch then stay at the La Cle de Fes, ideally situated near the Batha sq entrance to the medina and close to a petit taxi stop it is both easy to find and tranquil at the same time. once you step through the doors you forget the bustle left behind. An ideal destination either as a short stay or as a long term base, in either instance it is perfect in all ways imaginable. food is excellent, decor is beautiful, location superb, hospitality 2nd to none especially in Fes, that extra touch and willing to go the extra yard is plain to see and you feel it all the time during your stay. i cant enthuse enough ....."

quiet and beautiful place
"I highly recommend the riad "La clé de Fes" which is nearby the "gate blue", the main entrance for visiting the Médina. Naima , the hostress is always trying to help you and give you good advises. Tje food is terrible good and the riad permits to stay in a warm atmosphere where we alltogether meet around a tea or near the fireplace. Do not hesithate ! Virginie & Misou"

Great Experience at La Cle de Fes
"I stayed three nights with my wife in this wonderful Riad in mid-February of 2008. It is well located, not far from the medina walls so we could get there on our own when we arrived to Fes. The place is beautiful, rooms and bathrooms are large and well equipped. Rooms have a modern air-con/heating system. Everything is very clean. By far the best of the Riad is Naima, your host in Fes. She does everything possible to make your stay the most pleasurable as possible. It wouldn't be an overstatement to say she is the Riad. She is there for your breakfast and dinner (which are both very good). She even lent us her own laptop when we needed to send an urgent e-mail home! She also arranged for an official guide to take us through the medina (which we absolutely recommend). We really felt at home away from home at la Cle de Fes, more than anywhere else on our trip through Spain and Morroco."

"My wife and I stayed in this beautiful Riad for 3 nights in the city of Fez after having researched for accommodation through trip advisor. As a professional photographer I could see immediately from pictures on Trip Advisor and the Riad's own website this venue was not going to disappoint. We had the ultimate luxury of being the only guests during our stay and were wonderfully looked after by the staff. Niama the manager is so very professional and very interesting to talk with. She provided us with insight into life in Morocco we could not of hoped to of learnt as mere tourists. Her company added very much to our visit for which we thank her. I highly recommend eating at least one evening meal at the Riad where we enjoyed without doubt our best meal during our 1 week stay in Morocco. The attention to detail was superb. Breakfast was equally well appealing served in front of an open fire place in what was the chill of winter in Morocco. The Riad has a charming plunge pool for which visitors in summer will most certainly benefit The Riad is located within old Fez where you can immerse yourself immediately on walking out of the door into another world of narrow alleyways that make up the Souk. If the hustle and bustle of the Souk gets to you after a few hours you can retire to the Riad's roof terrace to relax, take tea and look out over the city of old Fez before venturing out again into the malaise."

Excellent place to stay
"We spent two nights in this Riad and I can highly recommend it. Our room was clean and nicely furnished. Naima and Francoise are very friendly and helpful. Don't waste your time by eating in the Medina, the best food we had was in La Cle de Fes. Not only is excellent but it is safe!!!! By the recommendation of Trip Advisor we booked the first two nights in Riad Number 9 and we were a bit disappointed. We had an upgraded room that was nothing special and the breakfast was really poor. Loud music was on the whole day and we could not rest. I can not compare it with this riad. It is absolutely beautiful."

Very Good Riad
"This was a wonderful little Riad. The food is very good, the service is excellent, the decor is very nice. It is exceptionally clean. Unfortunately, the pool was out of order while we were there, and I did not receive a discount for this inconvenience. Howevert, the staff of the hotel is quite responsive to your needs. I would suggest you stay at this hotel."
