If you want to waste your money - this is the place to go
"Would you like to be told after two day's of your holiday that you need to re-pack all your clothes and belongings and move to another room because the hotel "suddenly" decided to refurbish the rooms next to you?
Would you like to spend two days of your holiday unable to venture further than five metres of the nearest toilet because of food poisoning?Would you like to be told that you may not sit at certain tables because you decided to take the "all inclusive" package? Would you like your wife to be moved to tears by the fact that her once in a lifetime holiday has been spoiled by bad management, poor food hygiene and archaic rules? Well, this is the place for you.
Now please publish this on your misleading website so people will be able to make an informed decision about where to waste their money."

AMAZING! I would definitely go back!
"Le Preskil resort was the best hotel I have ever been to!
The resort looked amazing as we came in with beautiful trees and flowers surrounding it. The buildings themselves were very clean and attractive. The whole set up was beautiful with lots of nice gardens and flowers which attracted lovely birds. The whole place felt very safe with plenty of security around and a barrier as you go in â perfect for families.
The staff were brilliant! As soon as we got out of the taxi a man was waiting to collect our suitcases, then we went into the reception area onto some comfy seats to check in and were greeted with some tasty coctails! Definately the best check-in experience Iâve ever had. Then we were shown to our rooms, I couldnât help but notice the lovely pool area and view onto the beach and the sea as we walked to our room.
We had a lagoon room which was very spacious, with our own balcony with a stunning view of the beach and sea and the room was decorated really nicely. Our room was cleaned every day and in the evening we were offered additional towels and a bed making service.
We were all-inclusive which meant some items in the mini bar were free of charge â water, juices and beer! Brilliant! The restaurants were delicious, breakfast had everything you could wish for as well as dinner which offered a large range of foods. The steaks house was my favourite â the best steaks I have ever tasted and all for free with the all inclusive. Again the staff did everything they could to make each meal perfect.
Both swimming pools were a good size and the right temperature. The water sports were great fun â anyone could have a go.
The entertainment team were so much fun! We are a young couple and there was so much to offer throughout the day, they give you a daily timetable on arrival and this includes some of the activities we took part in â beach volleyball, aqua aerobics and a table tennis competition. Plus they do tennis competitions and many other activities. We had a great time and the entertainment team were brilliant for getting us involved in activities we never would have tried otherwise.
We went over for a wedding which went without a hitch, the staff again were amazing for ensuring it ran smoothly. In the evening was the management coctails and it was nice to meet the staff who run the place. Later on a band played in the main restaurant and we all danced the night away! This is something the hotel sorts out every night a different form of entertainment and it was brillaint, definitely not tacky or butlins style, it was good quality and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
The whole holiday was fantastic, mainly down to the staff who were amazing. I would definitely recommend Le Preskil for anyone, couples, families, friends, there is definately something for everyone!

What a FANTASTIC holiday!
"My husband suprised me with tickets to Mauritius to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. We had the most amazing time! The hotel was beautiful, staff very impressive, great food and variety too! We just had the most fun filled, sun filled holiday. We have travelled extensively together and felt this was by far the most divine trip! The full board option is a must as it allowed us to just relax and drink and eat whatever we wanted! We really recommend it - and definitly spend a day in Port Louis - that was also great."

"Our family of 5 spent an unforgettable week at Preskil Beach Resort. The rooms were well appointed and extremely comfortable. Easy access to a lovely beach with plenty of water sport crafts (all in excellent condition) available. We had connecting Lagoon Rooms which were serviced daily: fresh towels supplied as required and tea and coffee supplies re-stocked each day. The beach towels were supplied by the hotel. This was a fantastic service in that you could exchange your towel for a fresh one any number of times during the day. Although the renovation process was still being completed, this in no way inconvenienced the guests. All the staff were very competent, friendly and helpful. The bicycle tour through Mahebourg was great fun and very informative. The breakfast and dinner buffets ensured that there was plenty of food for a variety of tastes. However, we did notice that some dishes appeared regularly each night merely undergoing a name change to fit in with the theme of the day. A minor shortcoming in the overall scheme of things. The close proximity to the airport meant that we had a short ride to the hotel after a long day of air travel. At night, the hotel looks truly magical. We will definitely be staying at this resort again."

The Hotel was everything we dreamed of....
"The Hotel was everything we dreamed of.
The staff was very friendly and always willing to assists you.
There are no words to describe how beautiful the island is.
Charka steakhouse must be one of the best restaurants ever. The service is great and the food the best we ever had.
We went to the local shops in Mahêbourg and experience how they live and shop.
We also went shopping in Curepipe and the flea market in Quarte Bornes was a great experience.
In Curepipe we went to the Volcano and the clothes factory shop where you can find Armani clothing for a lot less than what you would pay normally
On our last day we went to Port Louis, itâs a beautiful city and the mall at the waterfront is great. The Pamplemouses garden is a must see. Especially the big 2m water lilies.
On the resort there is so much to do as well. Scuba diving, snorkel, paddle boats, waterskiing ect.
The food on the resort is great and I loved the coconut milkshakes, coffee is very strong though.
Itâs sad to be back and I wish I could still be in Paradise.
A week is just not enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"We stayed in this Hotel from the 21st to 28th December 2007.
The services of this Hotel were fairly good and the staff was very friendly.
Based on the rooms and food, we will rate this Hotel a 3 star.
Our rooms had no sea view and the gardens can not meet the Seychelles Hotel standards. The meat and fish that was served with the meals was very poor in standard.
The water sports are for free and this is the wright place for water-ski lovers, but not recommended for swimming. The wind blow all day on this side of the island, but we enjoyed it, cause it keep you cool in the heat.
My luggage was delayed for four days by SA airways for no reason at all and this caused four unhappy days. Our trip agent was of no assistance with the delayed luggage and we were left on our own. During this time we learned to know that it is not something new that the airways delay your luggage. So my advice will be to carefully plan the packing of your night bag that you bring with you on the flight to be prepared for a luggage delay of 2 to 5 days. Clothes are not cheap on the island since most of the Industries closed and the taste is mostly soft cotton Indian style.
When you choose a package, include your drinks, no matter the cost, because if you pay for it separate they are very expensive and a real rip-off. Also bear in mind that the two main restaurants in the resort do not serve lunch and the resort is far from any other facilities.
The beauty salon is excellent and the Hammon sauna is free of charge.
Never use the Taxi service just outside the resort, they will take you to the nearest clothing factory were they receive commission for your purchases and the prices is scary cause they see you coming as a tourist. Their Taxi fees are also very high. Rather ask the Hotel staff to order you a Taxi.
The Resort Boutique supply sun tan lotions, mostly soft cotton Indian style cloths and a few odds and ends, but there is not really any island souvenirs to buy for your family and friends at home."

Ripped Off In Mauritius
"3 star hotel at a 4 star price.
Just returned from this resort and felt obliged to subscribe to this site to let you all know about our experience.
At a cost of just under £10,000 I spent two weeks at this resort with my wife and two children.
The room on the beach was pleasant once you had become accustomed to the the smell of mould in the rooms (It was the smell of old wooden furniture). However, this was easily overcome by opening the patio doors which takes you directly on to the man made beach. I would recommend that you take shoes with you to walk on the beach and if you dare enter the sea you will also need them to provide protection from sea urchins, rock fish and the odd sanitary towel lying on the sea bed.
Most water sports were free if you take the 'all inclusive' option and the beach bar was o.k. as long as you remember to use those shoes. An alternative is to take plenty of plasters with you.
By the way this is the only hotel resort I have ever visited that has umbrella's in the rooms!
The hotel was in my opinion of average quality and the food was very below average.
As far as the staff were concerned I would agree with other comments on this site. They need a good kick up the backside. It takes about 20 minutes to get a drink so I would recommend that you make a double order when you eventually get served, but don't forget you only have the 'all inclusive' option from 11am to 11pm (presumably this is to ensure that we all go to bed and are up in time for the school dinners the next day).
Most of the beach hawkers were pleasant but would give you the odd offensive remark if you didn't buy from them.
The hotel brochure provides details of taxi costs to many to the excursions available. We tried a few but found that the taxi drivers appeared to work on a commission to take you to various places. If you walk along the road a little way you will find the taxi cost falls considerably.
We took trips to
The nature park
The Lion park
The Factory shop
We enjoyed all the excursions with the exception of the Factory Shop.
On arrival we were surrounded by 7 or 8 staff and pressured in to purchasing merchandise.
The intention of our trip was to buy a couple of made to measure suits. The suits eventually arrived but I think I could have done a better job myself.
If your planning a trip to the Factory Shop - DON'T.
I have travelled to many locations throughout the world but have never experienced a holiday like this one before.
If your looking for a £6,000 holiday for four at a £10,000 price tag Preskil is the place for you. Alternatively, Try Sun Island resort at the Maldives.
This is definately not a beach resort I will be returning to.

excellent beach resort
"We have just returned from a two week holiday in this resort and found it to be an excellent and very relaxing stay.We have never been to the Island before.
The resort was beyond our wildest dreams, from the reception you get on arrival to leaving i have never had an experience like it.
We had upgraded to a beach penthouse before arrival and we were breathless when we were shown to it, it overlooked the bay and Lion mountain ...
It is very close to the airport but that does not interfere with this lovely location.
There was lots to do and see, from water aerobics in the morning to volleyball in the late afternoon,or just being on the beach, after two weeks we still hadn't got round to doing everything. We would recommed the Cat cruise up the coast, a full day out but well worth it.
The staff, without exception were fantastic, always friendly and smiling and they could not do enough for you, the rooms were kept immaculately clean, the reception staff were great, any requests were dealt with very quickly and cheerfully, it was a very well run and maintained resort, very professional.A very nice touch, which i had never seen before, was a management cocktail night, free cocktails on the beach and meeting other guests a great way to break the ice.
I know the food has come in for a bit of a knock looking at some reviews before we went, but we found the buffet no problems at all, i have no complaints, there were theme nights, chinese night, spice night etc so it wasn't the same fare every night, personally it did get a bit tiring late into the second week but for varietys sake there are two other restaurants in the complex, Charkas and Spices and for a small suppliment ( we were half board) you can dine there, you would not be dissapointed with either of them.
We got out and about the island a lot, the first time we thought we'd try a taxi and were taken straight to a factory shop in Rose Belle by the driver ... we had expected this and despite promising ourselves we would buy anything we did, still it didn't do any harm, the driver ( honour satisfied and commision obtained} took us around the island for the rest of the day and he was an excellent guide in the process, for 1500 rupees, around £25, very cheap.
We cant find anything to gripe about, we loved our stay and we were both sorry to go, we have travelled a lot together in our time and Le Preskil was an experience we will both never forget, if you've booked to go and are reading this have no doubts ... you'll love it!"

Average Resort in Mauritius
"My husband and I spent eight nights at the Le Preskil Beach Resort in October 2007 in a Standard room. We booked this holiday last minute, and as it was our most expensive holiday to date, we were expecting quite a lot from our stay here.
On our arrival at the hotel, we were met by a member of staff, who offered us towels to freshen up with, and once we were inside the reception area, we were served a cool drink, which was a nice welcoming touch.
Our room was on the second floor, and while it was clean and reasonably well decorated, we both felt a little let down, as it was nowhere near as nice as other hotels weâve stayed at in other parts of the world - and a lot more expensive. Our balcony was a reasonable size, but felt closed in, and the chairs were very uncomfortable. The bathroom was also a little sparse, and only had a shower. This was no problem for us as a couple, but I can imagine that anyone with small children would struggle with this set up.
The food at this hotel is of average quality, and is served buffet style in the main restaurant. There is a smart-casual dress code for dinner, which we were not aware of before we arrived, which means no shorts or sportswear (smart jeans are acceptable). I would advise anyone not staying All Inclusive to beware the cost of alcoholic drinks at dinner. We werenât that bothered about having wine or beer with our evening meal, and instead ordered a bottle of water, which only costs 1 Euro. If you do want to buy alcohol or snacks take a short walk to the local Supermarket, where a Phoenix beer will only cost you 30p!! If you decide to walk to either the Supermarket or into Mahebourg be prepared to be approached by some of the locals who will try and strike up a conversation with you in order to try and sell you things. On one occasion we were approached by a local man; and after we showed no interest in buying any of the cheap jewellery he was selling, he called us racist, and we ended up having to cross the street to get away from him.
One of the good aspects of staying at Le Preskil was its location; being situated on its own small peninsula. While the beach itself is fairly small, it is very clean and there are plenty of sun lounges and water sports equipment available, which are all free. My husband and I went kayaking twice during our stay, on both occasions kayaking the short distance to Ile aux Aigrettes, which is a small island nature reserve opposite the hotel. The water surrounding the hotel is very clear and shallow, which makes it ideal for water sports and swimming. The only negative aspect regarding the beach is that it is not private, although we only saw a few local people there during our stay, and were never approached by anyone.
Despite some of our misgivings regarding Le Preskil, I think this is a reasonable resort to stay at if you are planning a holiday to Mauritius, although there may be better alternatives available for the same price. All the staff we had dealings with during our stay were polite and helpful, and its location (ten minutes drive from the airport) is ideal if you are leaving on a morning flight. I would recommend Le Preskil Beach Resort to anyone who is looking to stay at an average resort in a good location, with plenty of water sports activities on site."

Convenient to the Airport
"I stayed here in October, 2007 and agree with otherâs comments about the service. Waiters would come and then disappear. Another would appear and ask for your order again. We learned after the first night to order the wine and wait until it arrived some time later and after perhaps a second request before going to the buffet table. Other service, however, was very good. Our welcome greeting and drink were very pleasant. We were not fortunate to be upgraded or to be given a renovated room and our âlagoon viewâ room (you could see a small bit of blue behind the units in front of us) was older and fairly small with a small TV and very old shower. As mentioned, a principal advantage is that it is close to the airport. However, the directions to the hotel do need improving as we ended up in Mahebourg (a traffic nightmare) and had to double back. We missed a turn to the right not too far after you leave the main highway which was not marked (Or I missed it). If you find it, the resort is amazingly close. It was windy and rainy when we were there, but I could see the beach would be lovely in the right weather. Despite my previous comments, I think this is a quite reasonable stop over for a few days for someone passing through Mauritius. And it should be taken into account that my experience was very different from those who took the side trips which seem to be generally well regarded."

Good hotel, close to airport
"Originally booked 1 night stay as we did not want to drive far the day we landed. Pleasantly surprised by size of room, food and facilities. We came back at the end of our 11 day honeymoon as the last hotel we had booked was dire ( Trou aux Biches). The last 3 days were great and we really enjoyed Le Preskil. Would reccomend it as a base to discover the island as it is close to the airport ( as a treat, got to Beau Rivage for a night or two!)"
