"We wanted to make the most out of the second half of our Kenya vacation. The first week only traveling and game watching, the other half only relaxing. We chose Lonno Lodge for the relaxing-part, and didn't regret a second! The hotel is elegant, the rooms big - almost like apartments, and the salt water pool is great. Self supplied with water and electricity, this hotel is both independent of unreliable local infrastructure and environmental friendly. If you are searching for a hotel on the white dream beach, this is not it. However, the torn coast line of sharp coral stones is twice as exiting as a flat sandy beach. Go crab, fish or oyster hunting at low tide. A special thanks to Aldo and Sylvia for their sense of quality and great hospitality!"

A wonderful lodge in one of the best place of Watamu

"What can I say about Lonno Lodge that hasn't been said by other reviews ? Just imagine a piece of paradise, some wonderful rooms designed by the inspiration of its own owner and architect Aldo, a large swimming pool with a breathless view over the ocean, a completly secluded and private strip of beach, a remarkable and personalized service, offered by smiling kenyan and masai people and with care and attention by Aldo and Silvia. We stayed only three nights, but would have liked to stay longer. The lodge is a few km away from the Watamu Village, and this puts you in the best possible position to enjoy the absolute beauty of the place but still only five minutes away from the shops, the restaurants, the travel agencies and the crowd. If you just want to relax, stay in the pool, in the balcony, take a walk in the private beach, or ask Aldo to guide you with his boat to some secluded lagoons where practice some snorkeling far away from the crowd of the marine park. If you are more active, get a taxi and visit mida creek, gede ruins, the snake farm. Ask Silvia and Aldo, they will be eager to help you and guide you in the right direction. Food was great, all hand and home made. If you are not the solitaire ones, sit with them and you will soon find two new friends. What else to say .... thank you for our stay, we hope to come back and wish all the best for the future of this wonderful place. Antonio, Silvia and Iacopo"

"From the moment we arrived at the Malindi airport we were treated to the wonderful hospitality of Aldo and Silvia. We were escorted to Lonno Lodge where we were introduced to Silvia the host and saw in the background the swimming pool set amongst a sky of stars. Our family with 2 children were welcomed by the staff and treated to first class luxury. The lodge was unique with intricately carved doors and shutters. The accomodation was luxurious and it was fantastic to have our own villa. The meals were prepared fresh every day by amazing chefs. We had an outstanding time at Lonno Lodge and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing a quiet, elegant and relaxing holiday."
