About Stella Di Mare Beach Hotel & Spa

Situated in the paradise that is Sharm El Sheikh, the Stella Di Mare, with
it’s stunning swimming pools, glorious sandy beach and qualified diving
school, makes the most of its tropical surroundings. This hotel truly is a jewel
on the Egyptian coastline. With its Wellness Centre and Spa and great selection
of restaurants and bars, the resort is suited perfectly for a romantic get away;
the views, the relaxation and the gourmet dining are sure to make the holiday a
memorable one. That’s not to say that families aren’t welcome; indeed, the
family rooms are spacious and designed to feel warm and welcoming. From the
Sharm El Sheikh International Airport, it is a 17km journey to get to this
5-star resort. A chilled out vibe resonates through the Stella Di Mare’s
restaurants, gardens and leisure amenities. Perhaps this is due to the
breathtaking views of the Red Sea, the stunning warm climate and the beautiful
golden sand beaches. Perhaps it is also because of the friendly, welcoming staff
whose main objective is to ensure each and every guest enjoys a perfectly
relaxing stay.

Room Information and Room Facilities

With 298 spectacular rooms, the Stella Di Mare is not too big for guests to feel
overcrowded and not too small to feel overly quiet. From the best value option
to the most opulent, the hotel’s guest rooms do not disappoint when it comes
to luxury, comfort and decor. In every room you will find a satellite television
and a mini-bar to make you feel right at home. The slippers and bathrobes add to
this effect, and the security aspect of a sturdy safe deposit box puts minds to
rest. Then there’s the spacious en-suite bathroom and the king-sized double
bed; convenience and comfort teaming up to ensure your stay is more than
memorable. Simply set the air conditioning to your ideal temperature, kick off
your complementary slippers and lay back into a deep sleep. At the Stella Di
Mare, the comfort of the guests is the number one priority.

Facilities, Entertainment, Activities

The resort takes great pride in making sure every guest gets the most out of two
the spectacular swimming pools within the hotel complex. Regardless of the time
you arrive at the pool, the helpful staff will pull strings and make sure that
you get a sun bed that you are happy with. Then, throughout the day, the staff
are more than happy to bring you cold bottles of water and bowls of fruit to
keep you refreshed and invigorated. The resort has an excellent spa, which
includes saunas, massages, treatments and Turkish baths. In the way of sports
there are tennis and volleyball courts for the energetic types and games and
billiards rooms for those who enjoy more relaxed activities. The much-loved
animation team organise a different programme of entertainments every day and
varying events each evening. One activity not to miss is the diving class
conducted by the resort’s very own PADI trained diving school, plunging you
into the crystal clear waters of the Red Sea.

Food and Drink Options

At the Stella Di Mare, you will never go hungry, with bars and restaurants
dotted all around the resort. The buffet meals served at La Terrazza are
exceptionally popular with the resort’s guests due to the extensive choice of
different national dishes on offer three times a day. Seating is out on the
terrace to give guests a truly authentic Egyptian dining experience. For
delicious Mediterranean food, Corallo Rosso has a modern approach to this
world-renowned food culture, serving fantastic evening meals. Alternatively, the
Orient-inspired La Scogliera opens its doors at midday and in the evenings with
Asian delights ranging from hot wok dishes to a dedicated sushi bar. If going
out is just too much effort, then the rooms benefit from room service on a

"Coach transfer: went well, I was the only passenger left on the coach, was a bit worried about that as I was beginning to think brits didnt know about this hotel.

Acccommodation/Hotel: very pleased, room was lovely, cleaned to perfection every day. Hotel fairly new so some work still going on but it didnt spoil my stay.

Staff: friendly staff, always happy to help.
Location: happy with location, not walking distance to anywhere if your ok with that (I was) so hotel shuttle bus is there to take you into Naama Bay.

Guests: majority of guest seem to be Russians, at first I wasn't sure about being the only Brit, I only saw one to two other Brits during my stay. In the end this was no longer a bother as they didnt get in the way of me having a good time.

Negative: just a minor negative. tea and coffee is supplied in the room but they dont offer milk, I found that a bit weird."

Beautiful gardens, tastefully decorated, attentive staff - a winner!


"Like the previous reviewer we stayed at the Stella Di Mare courtesy of Thomsons during the disruption caused by the volcanic ash. I can only rave about this hotel and our treatment by Thomsons. We had two rooms on the ground floor, facing the waterfall and a few steps from the beach. As it's still very new the rooms were clean, modern and yet comfortable. The beach was tidied every evening and the sun loungers were pristine. Swimming from the jetty was fun and the fish and coral were amazing. You don't even have to be a strong swimmer to see the spectacular water life - there were a few people snorkelling wearing armbands.

The service was first class - Sharif in the restaurant and the manager of the beach bar particularly stood out. The restaurant was a wee bit chaotic at busy times but they were coping with large numbers who arrived unexpectedly so I'm sure these were just teething troubles.

I didn't visit the spa although it looked beautiful.

I would recommend this hotel for couples and families with older children as the hotel doesn't really have the facilities for younger children and they don't have a kids menu - although if you ask for pizza or pasta in the evening they are happy to provide."

"Stayed here for 6 nights full board, courtesy of Thomsons due to the flight restrictions following the volcano.
The hotel is relatively new and was going through a soft opening phase, and yet they managed to accomodate approx 150 guests at a moments notice.
I understand that the hotel will soon be feature d in the Thomson's brochure
Excellent service from the staff who looked after us very well indeed.
I would suggest that the hotel is best suited to Adults with or without smal children.
Finally, a big thank you to Thomsons who pulled out all the stops to help us through the difficult flight restriction period"

"frist i would like to intreduce myself i'm doctor gamel eldin from jordan . we were in the hotel in this month april for arabian international doctors conferance and we are sorry about our choice to his hotel it's fake . every thing not real special for meeting room not ready . no experience for banquet dept . no euipments and also no coffee break . i woundered how u can imagne u in dinner time and if u need glass of water u paying for bottel because beverage not including it's hasel . and finally our things was stoolen from meeting room . u have to improve your service special in meeting room and restaurant service . thank u"

really nice


"i stayed at this new hotel for a week,and enjoyed the friendly service,everyone almost was greeting with a smile,the room is big and super clean,from the balcony the view is great ,the sea and swimming pool both looks great..the food at the buffet is good but they can do much better,i always stay at 5 stars hotels and this one i can say there people deserve the 5 stars.i do recoment it for everyone,[note] it's far from the marina but they do have a free shuttle few times a day both ways.."

"First I would like to say that this hotel was outstanding the food and beverage staff where very polite , friendly good mannered and always at your service working so hard all of the day but i observed the manager of food and beverage he was American came across has very ignorant , un polite , nasty , agresstive with customers , argumentive , and personally I do not think this man is qualified for this post he is very un professional above all you have a excellent hotel with amazing views and i advise that you resolve this food and beverage management problem as soon as possible so that you can progress in the future I hope that you take my advice on board and I hope to hear from you in the near future many thanks ."

"I did not like this hotel. It is advertised as front-sea, but it only offers a fake beach on the rocks with very little capacity. If you can't swim very well, don't book this hotel because you can only dive to get into the water. Rooms are mid-size and quite dark. The hotel is 5 km away from Naama Bay Center where the bars, discos and restaurants are located, but you can get there only by taxi or walk for 1 hour. I would not recommend this hotel."

Excellent location for R&R


"We stayed here for 4 days towards the end of a hectic pre-paid 5-star Egypt tour. It is a perfect place for a rest during your travels with (almost) everything that you want here.
The hotel is barely 6 months old and situated next to the Red Sea with its own private jetty & beach (good snorkelling).

Now is a good time to stay as the staff and supervisors are keen to establish a good reputation. Frequently we were asked were we happy with the service. The room and table service was excellent as was the charming Ice Creamery girl and the pool drink waiters.

The hotel consists of 7 levels: Our room had Naama Bay township views and the rooms on the other side of the hotel looked out over the Red Sea. The internal atrium and glass lift are modern and pleasant.
The food is excellent with many choices via buffet or a la carte.

The negatives are relatively minor:-
1. The internet is free but the connections are poor, in fact so slow that one gives up. Perhaps if you bring your own wireless laptop you may fare better.
2. The hotel is relatively new and not complete eg. when we were there some painting was being done and the fumes were unpleasant. It may well all be finished by now.

Overall, Stella Di Mare is an excellent place to stay if you just want to relax for a couple of days before restarting your Egyptian travels."

"I was very fortunate to stay 9 days at Stella Sharm Beach Hotel & Spa - Ne'ma Bay.

This hotel is truly a five star hotel with excellent facilities.

The Spa part is fully equipped and served by very knowledgable experts. The gym is furnished with top quality equipment.

All staff is extremely helpful and accommodates all your needs in a very proactive way.

I would like to give extra credit to Chef Shariff and his team in the kitchen of the main restaurant.
Each meal that we had exceeded our expectations and the variety of food available at the buffe' is Top Class!

If there is any doubt on what 5 star hotel to choose in Sharm El Sheik, I can only say - book this hotel and you will surely not regret it.

"I have stayed in many hotels in Sharm El Shiekh over the past 12 years and this holiday was by far the best.
From the first day you arrive you are made to feel very special and every request is always met with first class service.
The food on the buffet was of a very high standard, with the many chefs catering for all tastes (including my 5 year old grandaughter).
The rooms are immaculate and provide everything you need (including robes and slippers) for a very comfortable stay.
The pool area is always kept very clean with excellent service throughout the day.The grounds and beach areas are exceptional.
Without question I would always choose this hotel for a stay in Sharm El Shiekh and cannot wait to return soon"

Loved this hotel


"Hi all, stayed here for a week all inclusive beginning of October 2010 and was so happy I chose this hotel. The rooms were clean and well kept. The communal areas were lovely and clean and finished to a high standard, and the staff were great. So helpful and friendly and not expecting tips all the time at all.

There were plenty of sun loungers and they all had umbrellas so you could have shade where ever you were sunbathing. Plenty of towels to go round. The house reef was amazing. I prefered snorkelling off the fixed jetty futher round the beach than the floating one.

The restaurants and food choice was pretty good. Waiter service in the main restaurant a little slow sometimes to get drinks.

A few minutes drive in to Naama Bay. very cheap in a taxi or use the free shuttle service. Either way is cheap and convenient.

Only complaint would be the evening entertainment. The same singers singing the same songs night after night! It got very boring very quickly.

My Hubby and I had a great time at this hotel. I wish we had stayed for longer. Would definitely return to this hotel again. "
