Royal Paradise Beach Resort
48 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
"Unfortunately I had my last vacation in Royal Paradise Resort Sharm one of the most unexpected bad holidays ever.
Hotel sight and facilities are nice the problem they need badly to be renovated. Staff no. Is very few comparing to the size of the hotel and no. Of guests. Speaking about rooms are unclean furniture is old insects in rooms bath rooms are disaster not clean taps are broken towels are dirty air conditioning system all over the hotel is very weak. No room service unless you ask several times. Reception I'd a night mare no customer services knowledge what soever one they can't solve any problem lack of experience and few of them are friendly one of the worst thing happened during our visit they closed the air conditioning system and when we start sweating we asked the receptionist is the air conditioning broken he said no we close it from 3:00 to 6:00 pm !!!!!! Temp. Was more than 35 degrees and crowded lobby is this possible! !!! Food is horrible taste less no variety. Although this place has great view and great beach but it's very clear that it's management system is poor lack of experience wish they can enhance their performance in the future."

Awful Nasty Hotel
"This is a paradise to hell. i will not advise anyone who wants a decent holiday to go there.
the hotel has had no running water for 2 days, can anyone imagine this?
the food is rubbish, the staff rubbish, the rooms rubbish and they have packed a bunch of ignorant ugly looking Russians who act like they own they hotel. Perhaps it belongs to a russian.
do not go to this hotel it has been most regrettable. do not go to this nasty awful dirty hotel.
no water for 2 days and all they can say is don't worry it is coming for the past 48 hours and now i have to go find somewhere to have my bath as the hotel has no water.
The all inclusive is a joke with these Russians acting like food is scarce in russia. what a horrid horrid hotel.....no room service, no internet, no water, full of dirty toilets and flies, the worst mistake i have ever made on a holiday."

"After booking our holiday at Royal Paradise Resort, I then went on trip advisor to check reviews, I couldn't believe the results and stupidly thought "oh, it'll be o.k. everyone's opionion is so different, it can't be that bad". Well believe me it was worse, horrific is the only word that I feel suits this holiday, the hotel was dirty, food absolutely disgusting, we paid for all inclusive but couldn't eat at hotel, spent a fortune on restaurants, no cold drinks, no milk, no butter, no alcohol on most days, no ent ertainment, pool dirty cracked tiles around perimeter and the floor of pool, building work going on around the pool, photo's of hotel of web site is nothing like where we stayed,
at one point when we ventured into restaurant the chef was smoking, we also witnessed a waitor clearing a table and the chef scraped leftovers into the food that people could help themselves to. No games room, no shops, no internet cafe as described. The management of this hotel were extremely rude and uncooperative, this hotel should not even be advertised whether throught travel agent or web site, and certainly not for the english as this hotel catered for the Russians and Arabics more than anything. If anyone is thinking of going to Egypt, then please be very carefull where you stay and look into the accomodation thoroughly, but most of all AVOID Royal Paradise Resort no matter what."

Do NOT Go to this hotel!!!
"I have to agree with the review I've just read - it almost mimics our holiday - if you can call it that. The food is only suitable for Russians, for example breakfast is mashed potato, peas, salads, green omelette... Our room was dirty and the first room was only big enough for three when there was four of us which had been specified by the tour operator as being a special request! The pool was dangerous having holes in the grilles, my son cutting his knee on one of them - and still they weren't repaired! The list is endless with many misinterpretations on their info, all I can say is unless you wish to be mistreated and handled DO NOT go to this hotel!"

The worse hotel in the world, DO NOT GO THERE!
"Me and my partner arrived to the hotel about 2 am 28th December. Of course we paid for hotel since 27th. In there, on the doors security took off our language, they didn't speak any English. When we got to reception desk, non of staff didnât speak English either. Finally after half an hour we got the keys to the room. Unfortunately they said, they cannot provide any food and any drinks for us. First all resort look very nice, it's big, have lots of palms, two swimming pools, but this feeling is not for long. We booked all inclusive, sea view, one bed room. We got 2 double beds, broken, dirty fridge, broken tele, horrible bathroom with bronze water and no towels non sea view room with dead roach in the shower!! In reception we were told, that room we booked is not available, because all rooms are occupied just now. We booked our hotel 1 month before, but they didn't care and told us to come back to reception at midday the next day. The next day we had to argue with receptionist to give us room we paid for, they were very rude and speak very poor English as all of hotel staff, I mean ALL. Finally we got a nicer room, but to have a sea view, we need to hang out of the balcony and be lucky there are no neighbors on the other balconies:) in there, hairdryer didn't work and the shower broke down after 3 minutes use. The next day cesspit just next to front entrance blasted out! First meal - breakfast. My partner went to the restaurant to get me some food, when I was still sleeping. When he tried to take it out from the restaurant, service there started shouting and took the plate from his hand by force! If you mean all inclusive- in this hotel it means warm water and juice in 150ml plastic cups, local copy of alcohols eg. JONNIE WATER and FUNLANDIA, if you wanted normal glass you had to pay extra $3, which is £2, greenish omelets on breakfast, dead flies in the food, terrible, no-communicative service, not nice at all. In hotel work only men as their religion says, they look at woman as at peace of meat and you can clearly notice that as soon as you get there, service stare at woman at all times trying to touch you pretending friendly conversation, it's not nice experience, I didn't feel comfortable in there at all even being with my partner. Not surprising in last day of our 'luxurious holiday' we were informed just after 5 pm, that our room is paid only till 12,so we have to pay $80 for late check out. We said that because of their mistake first 18hours we stayed in the worse room ever, not the one we paid for, but they didn't care. Our transfer came in at 9pm so we stayed in the hotel. At 8.30 we went to restaurant to get some food, while we were eating one of managers came to our table and said we cannot eat anymore, as we didn't pay for this particular day, my partner got crazy and we left restaurant. In reception desk we were asked to pay $43 for this dinner. They said if we will not pay they are going to phone the police. We asked one of duty managers Madamme Hoda to solve this problem, she was trying to hide and said to one of receptionist to said she is not in the hotel, but we clearly saw her 2 minutes before. We said that we saw her and she came out. She offered we will write that we really like the hotel as it would be probably only one positive opinion about this hotel, sign it by name and surname and we will not have to pay for late check out and dinner. Of course we refused and pay everything they said. I've lost my time any lots of my money for this holiday and I am really upset and feel embarrass about that, I don't want anyone else to destroy they free time having holidays from hell. Better stay away from this resort. Have a nice holiday guys! xxx

"This hotel was horrible!
When me and my partner arrived we had to wait over 1 hr to be booked in, we were then given a room with 2 single beds and no sea view when we had booked a double room with a sea view, the room also had a leaking toilet and cracked leaking sink.
We complained and the next day were moved to a brand new room on the sea front...it was a lovely room with a double bed and a beautiful view. After an afternoon nap me and my parter awoke to rat poo at the side of our heads on the pillows and all over the room...we immediatley complained and the manager told us to keep quiet about this and not tell any of the other residents, they then moved us to another room, by this time we were on the 4th day of our 7 day stay so decided to stick it out and enjoy the holiday as much as possible which was hard as the food was dreadful and made us both ill (having to use the toilet several times a day), the beach was tiny and the swimming pool cold!
DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL, IT WILL RUIN YOUR HOLIDAY!"

Dont Stay At This Hotel.
"Just got back from a two week stay at this hotel what can i say the reviews of people rating it 1 and below are true. The reception staff are very very rude and arrogant the rooms were very basic the toilet and the sink leaked and the water that did run was brown. The restraunt was a joke it just caterd for the russian people there who are very arrogant the bar staff and waiters are very friendly i.e. Andy & Tommy the entertainers were very good with our children Momo & Rudie. For a all inclusive hotel the food was terrible we ate out every day & night which cost us alot of money i could write numourus other bad points of this hotel from hell but just want to forget it basicly it spoilt our christmas and new year with my nine year old son fracturing his elbow in which we was ripped off badly having to pay 250 english pounds to the hotel doctor only to find out that we could of gone to the local hospital for free. I strongly advise you do not book this hotel or if you have time please try to re-locate becuae i wouldnt like anybody to go through the experience me and my family went through."

Royal Paradise seemed like the dream ho...
" Royal Paradise seemed like the dream holiday as it was 5 star and looked perfect. And i have no complaints on how it looked it does look really nice and can be decieving very decieving. First thing the hotel can not and does not cater for English the Food, entertainment and entertainment staff is all Russian. The entertainment is gymnastics and yoga everyday, and night time is a mix between english songs and russian enjoyment. The hygine of the food is disgusting and is nothing English on menu we were ill for most of the holiday. The hotel room service is clean enough but the toilets in reception and reception is very poor and full of flies. We did complain several times but no one wanted to help. Just be careful when booking any hotel all inclusive in Egypt as most food is Russian. I am very disappointed in English holiday companys advatising this as English Friendly and 5 Star, forgot to mention its only 4 star but i would give it 2 star just. "

just got back from the royal paradise, a...
"just got back from the royal paradise, and after reading numerous bad reviews my wife, son and i were worried, but we quickly realised that most people that write reviews are obviously the moaning type. let me put the record straight, the hotel in general is beautiful, the staff are hard working and very friendly, the entertainers become your friends, although the entertainment budget could be higher (only 1 proffesional show a week), the rooms are extremely clean and the cleaning boys are very friendly they even decorate your room with animals made from towels. the hotel has 2 restaurants, the main one isnt really big enough for the size of the hotel, the pizzeria is set towards the beach and the views from it are breathtaking. the beach area albeit at the bottom of a steep hill, is excellent, and the hotel has the best jetty for diving etc. but the best thing of all is that if you are british they love you, they cant do enough for you.
now as with all hotels there are niggles. the main one is the food in the main restaurant is the same every day, and appears to be geared towards the russians, if your not too fussy you'll find something to eat, at breakfast go for the omellettes that are made to order, as is the pasta at lunch and dinner. the pizzeria make good pizzas but you have to book the day before. there are 1 or 2 broken tiles around the pools, and the rooms could do with a bit of up-grading, also watch out for the outside bar the drinks are served in small vending machine cups, and some of the bar staff have been seen rinsing and re-using them, so make sure to crush after use. if you order a beer just ask for 2 or 3 to make up for the size, but once the barman realises your a brit he'll look after you, it was actually embarassing at times when joining a queue he would see you and remembering your usual order just serve you first. finally and this is NOT the fault of the hotel we originally booked this hotel for its all round sports facilities, as advertised we were promised jacuzzi, gym, multi sports court for football, basketball, tennis etc. the hotel has none of these and that left us a little disappointed. it does however have 2 large pools with water polo, a good volley ball court, and a dubious looking football pitch half way down the beach (be careful as a miss placed shot will have you running 200 yards down a steep hill into the sea to retrieve the ball)
all in all though we had 2 very good weeks here, under a very very hot cloudless sky"
