Food and Drink Options

Zodiac buffet restaurant combines innovative recipes with the best ingredients,

your fancy, Payrus combines excellent service with delicious food. After dinner,

with just the right balance between not hassling and being attentive.

Amazing hotel and fantastic staff
"Just returned from Royal Grand Azure after Dreams Beach being cancelled with OTBeach. Was worried after all the reports I had read but wow the hotel and rooms amazing. Hardly any building work going on. Staff couldn't of done anymore to help. Not all the restaurants were open but there was enough selection if you were visiting for a week. Animation Team extremely friendly but I think they need to up the beat alittle on night time entertainment!
Got prices to visit again, no way would we be able to go back on our budget!"

An Oasis in the desert
"We were booked at the 'Dreams Beach resort' with OTB and unfortunately a few days before hand were told we had been moved to the Royal Grand Azure. We were all really disappointed as we were told the Royal Grand was not completed, and we had seen pictures to prove it.So we travelled out with quite a few questions unanswered
However, on arrival at the hotel, the entrance and Reception were beautifully decorated for the Christmas holidays. The Reception staff were helpful and efficent, and our room was lovely.Our Daughter & her family were immediately upgraded to a junior suite which was fabulous.
The main pool, and international restaurant were excellent, however, in a rush to be open on time, there are a few snagging problems, we had no plug for the bath for 3 days, the finish on tiles & wiring around the complex has obviously been rushed which is a shame. But the biggest bug bear for us and other guests was the noise of the air conditioning, which prevented us from sleeping a few of the nights.
That all said, given time this will be a beautiful resort, the staff were mostly excellent,very helpful, the food was delicious and of a high standard.
But our holiday was made extra special, by the Gala dinner on New Years Eve, the Hotel spared no expense to provide us with a beautifully decorated Marquee, a buffet & cuisine fit for a King and excellent entertainment. A truly memorable night. Don't be worried about staying at the Royal Grand its a lovely Hotel, and can aspire to be even better, if they don't spoil it by rushing the workmanship"

superb (but will be better)
"The hotel is wonderful , but there is still a lot of work that needs doing to finish it, i think once this is done it will be a genuine 5star property. we had junior suite right on the beach and it was beautiful ( a few finishing touches required) but well worth the extra.
the snorkelling was awsome when there was no wind, the executive lounge is quite pointless as is being used as the italian, which is lovely and as is the indian , the main restaurant is good with plenty for everyone.
the new restaurants they are building look amazing , they made the best christmas eve buffet ever, even turkey. tyson and bob at the pool bar were a blast and my daughter loved them , there was a very helpful engish lady called suzie (i think) who works there but if you needed any help she was there for you.
this hotel is certainly one for the future and we hope to go back in april.

Terrible start... but Royal Grand Azure saved the day !!
"After arriving at Manchester Airport to find Libra has gone bang along with our flights, we re booked our seats to a costs of Â£650 (hopefully to be claimed back) were totally fed up by the hastle but arriving at Royal Grand Azure we forgot all the hastle. The hotel was amazing, the food great, the Christmas Eve Banquet Excellent, the entertainment by Egypt standard was better than we have had in 5 trips! Yes Suzie is so helpful, the waiters and pool guys all are fab and love the English people. Hotel not even a quarter full so peaceful. OK not totally finished but will not interfere with your stay. would go again."

You will not be disappointed
"Like everyone else that has recently come back from the Royal Grand Azure, were booked into Dreams. We were told about the change the day before we travelled and like everyone we spoke to read the one really bad review. We were devastated about the change. However! When we arrived at the Hotel we were treated like Royalty from the moment we stepped foot in Reception. We were shown to a sofa and the reception forms were brought to us to fill in. A welcome drink arrived we were also given a choice of room ro choose. First impressions WOW!. We were shown to our room and again WOW. All the staff were fantastic we felt that they were just happy to have us there for the while of the two weeks we stayed there. We were NOT made to feel all they wanted was a tip. All the staff could not do enough for us, watch the bar waiters though once they knew what you drink, (well put it this way we staggered back to our room a few times..lol).
We did have a problem with the photographers, we felt we had been over charged for pictures that were taken. We spoke to Suzie at guest relations and she sorted out the problem right away. In fact she turned out to be worth her weight on gold and we would like to thank her for everything she did for us. The other members of the team were also very helpful it must be said, however talking to an English lady helps. ;-))
We are very easy going travellers and yes there are building works going on but the hotel did there very best to not let it affect our stay. The food was great I would say even the most fussy of eaters can and will find something to eat and the cakes (donât get me started on them) I am going to go to weight watches now...lol All I said is I will have a look and bang i had a plate full. oh well thatâs what holidays are all about.
I would love to see the hotel when it is finished but I am sure I will not be able to afford to go. I am glad I was given the opportunity to stay in a lovely friendly place. If I had ten thumbs they will all be up. You will not be disappointed promise"

Gorgeous hotel - friendly staff
"So we got moved from dreams beach to royal grand azure, from previous reviews we were a bit worried but we could nto have been happier when we arrived..it was stunning.
Yes not all resturants are open yet but the main buffet is and the food is lovely, lots of variety (lunch very good) and the italian and indian are also ready to go. The indian i have to reccomened, really was gorgeous, could have eaten there every day!
There are lots of swimming pools and sun beds, so no worry there and it has its own private beach. Make sure you take with you or buy coral shoes though, its very shallow and i cut my foot on some coral, not nice!
The rooms are huge and really well cleaned and maintained, housekeeping do a fantastic job and will get for you anything which you ask for.
Staff are all sooo nice, they really like the english, which is a bonus. Say hi to Mike the barman, great english accent. They all work very hard and nothing is too much trouble. They get paid so little they really appreciate the tips, but they never make you feel like you have to give one and still treat you well if you dont.
Entertainment is great during the day - evening is pretty good as far as entertainment goes, especially in egypt.
One BIG tip - take GBP, EURO or DOLLAR. We changed all our money into egyptian and got stung because when booking excusions and massages etc they like every other currecny and then the exchange rate is worse so you spend more than you think. Only take a little Egyptian or change it over there.
If you have enough money i would reccomend the trip to cario, our guide was fantastic, brilliant knowledge. Pymarids were a sight i'll never forget and the perfume shop was amazing.
We really did feel at home here and did not want to leave. Would love to go back next year but know its unlikely we will be able to afford such a luxury hotel when its compltely finished. Oh and Haggle everything - at least half price!

"We stayed at this hotel 4 a week on 12th nov we should have gone 2 dreams beach but was moved, the hotel was very clean abit of building going on but you dont really see it, the rooms were big and clean the staff were very freindly and helpfull. The beach is on the hotel and very nice and naba bay was bout 15mins by taxi, you can get taxi from hotel witch cost 95 egyptian pounds but if you go outside hotel you can get 1 4 50pounds. Food was ok you wont go hungry but there aint alot 2 choose from round the pool bar it was the same every day but the buffet was good and deserts were really nice. I would stay at this hotel brilliant time."

"We stayed at this hotel in November 09, we was meant to go to the Dreams Beach but got moved at the last minute, very pleased we did!!!
The room was very clean and modern. Huge bathroom, sitting area and walk in wardrobe! The pool area was extremely clean, fresh towels everyday. The staff at the hotel couldn't do enough for you, we didn't have to que for anything. The food was excellent, always hot and lots of choice. None of us had a poorly stomach. Just booked to go back next year, however to the hotel next door as it's too expensive now!! We'll have to pop in and say Hi to Suzie, she was great! We also met a lovely couple who made our holiday, Lee and Claire. Hope to see you both again!

what a hotel!! what a great place!!!
"went to this hotel in nov 09 and i had a great week, met loads of people which made it a great stay, the hotel is still being built but it does not affect your stay, and i want to return to see it finished cos i think it will be the best in sharm.
the rooms are big and well equipped, the staff cant do enough to help you no matter what time of day it is, they brought us drinks all day got our towels on the sun bed in the morning and they had a laugh with us which was good!!
the restaurants were great i had 3 meals a day and every one was great i didnât eat a bad bit of food all week, all fresh and hot and i didnât get bad stomach and i was eating things like fish and all the salads.
the animation team were the best with things like footie and water volleyball - usual things during the day and a night great music and good shows including karaoke and a great Michael Jackson tribute show.
swimming pools were well nice and loads to choose from and the beach area was great with - clean and nice sunbeds and a good bar.
customer relations were great and a big shout out to Suzie who was always there if we had a problem and got it sorted straight away.
donât be put off by any building work as this will not affect your holiday, i just wish i was still there. a big thank you to all the staff and all the people we met - mitch,sharon,carl,and nicola. i would definitely go again but i doubt id afford it when it's finished but i will go to sharm and pop in to look it will be a great hotel. feel free to contact me if your going and ignore the bad reviews on this hotel.

Construction in progress
"Stayed one night there and had to move to another hotel, as this one is not yet complete. The opening team is working hard, however only 2 pools are working, 2 restaurants are open (at quite a limited scale). The room was huge thought telephone, tv, minibar were not working, the floor is dusty. The territory is full of construction workers, wires, tools, etc. Will be a nice deluxe hotel in half a year I suppose."

recommended holiday we went either 2007 or 2008
"we went to this hotel on recommendation about three years ago and I can honestly say it was THE BEST holiday I have ever had. We didnt know when we arrived it was in the middle of Ramadan but even thought the (local) staff were not allowed to eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset they could not have been more obliging. Everything was how you would expect from a luxurious hotel like this from the service to the accomodation and food. We were VERY sad to leave and will gladly book again when our finances allow it. The ONLY down side is be VERY careful when out shopping around the markets especially at night as the local shopkeepers can get ver aggressive when they see you buying from one shop/stall but walk past theirs, we found the only way to appease them was if there was a man in your company for him to tell them they don't carry the money but the women do it instead because most of the men won't deal/speak to the women but I can assure you it did not spoil our holiday. "

Such a great holiday we are going back for christmas
"We stayed at this Hotel September 2010 and have been looking forward to going back evr since. Cant say enough about it. We are returning on the 15th December with our family for christmas this year. Cant Wait. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Roll on the 15th December.!!"
