"We've just arrived back from Sunrise Island View in Sharm and wanted to say just how amazing it was. Originally we had booked to go in the sister hotel the Sunrise Gardens but this was closed due to the lack of tourists visting the island.
When we were told we were moving hotels we were a little apprehensive of course but our time at the Sunrise has been THE best holiday we have ever been on. It is unbelievably clean, the staff at the hotel are amazing and the food is fantastic too :)
Its my first time in Sharm and wont be my last and i will deffinately book the Sunrise again for sure :)

Great hol but staff need to smile
"Went on the 9th ocyober for a week. Hotel was good entertainment awful but we wanted a chill out week so never bothered us that much all though by the end of the week the pool bar singer started to drain you a bit. On our last night I think everyone was staring to get bored of her and it ended up being a karoke which was a good laugh don't think she was too impressed. Rooms were clean and tidy bit dated though.Cleaner was fantastic left him a good tip he well deserved it. Staff at the hotel were quite misserable there was onlt 3 members of staff that we tip while there not like when we stayed at the sunrise makedi bay in may the were great. Food was good something for everyone not at all bland. The beach is like shingle and hurts your feet as it's sharp. Wouldn't go back again booked already for makedi bay again. "

good,room was terrible
"the holiday was enjoyable but there was lots of faults in the hotel.the room was very dirty and the shower came out as a dribble and the fridge didn't work.the food wasn't very english the only thing you will eat there is burgers chips bolognese and pizza is the only things they have there that you would usually eat in england.the pool is fine you have 2 pools joint together with one of the slides going in to one and the other into the other pool.there is a pool by the beach which is crowded with no slides.an a adult pool were no under 15's can attend that is the place were you could here a pin drop.trying to get a sunbed in the morning is difficuilt. if you want to get a sunbed in a good position you will have to get up at 5:45 in the morning if you want a rubbish sunbed you'll have to get up at 7:00.the entertainment is average a bit lively but gets boring after a while. the snooker room is absolutely brilliant 2 pool tables and a 10ft brand new snooker table.if you do go out to naama bay you have to go to hard rock cafe it is brilliant we went twice.also if you do want to go snorkling it is okay nothing special just okay.if you do not like it hot there is no way possible you can go to egypt.in the daytime it is okay because you can just jump in the pool but at nightime it seems just as hot it feels like you open up an oven in your face and it is like that every night most nights you just sit there sweating it is horrible.the hotel is good the waiters are freindly do not give tips to anyone apart from the waiters. it is annoying in egypt the cleaners expect a tip for putting toilet roll in your room or putting a bottle of water in your fridge it is pathetic.also when you put your suitcases on the coach the guy there wants a tip for it, it is absolutely shocking. the reason to give the waiter a tip is because rather than a normal all inclusive he waits on you all day and all night just for £5 over the whole holiday it is definetly worthit.overall good holiday just should be more variety of food and the rooms to be cleaned up a bit more."

Nice hotel awfull entertainment
"First of all i would like to thank the management of the hotel for a fantastic room with a view.
We were overlooking the sea and fourth pool. the views were spectacular and it was very quiet at night.
When we arrived we were welcomed by hot towels and quickly taken to our room.
The room was a junior suite with a seperate lounge and huge bedroom with a queen size bed, the only downside was that there was only cnn on the television, its just a preference of mine but u do like to keep up with happenings at home.
The fourth pool was at the very bottom of the resort and overlooking the sea it was very peacefull and well run by the bar staff and pool boys.
This hotel has no walk in beach but again there is a quiet area so one can read ect with no booming music.
the reef was accessed bt a floating pontoon and mainly protected but u can see that leading out to it many people have walked on the coral which is such a shame.
The weather was very hot and not a cloud in the sky every day.
There are two restaurants a italian and eastern oriental which are very good but u must book them as soon as u get there and u can use them more than once.
the food in the buffet restaurant was normal all inclusive fare, i say this not as a complaint but a fact as it is very difficult to please all nationalities at the same time, it was hot and varied so job done as far as i am concerned.
Finally its on to the entertainment, i dont know why but in egypt no hotel seems to have a clue how to entertain its guests at night, and just a bit of thought would improve things greatly.
Firstly we had a guy playing the guitar and he did this everyday with a backing track, the same songs every night, then on to the kids club till nine, " i think the older u get the worse those songs sound" and after that it was dross till ten.
So to sum up this resort, great room, stunning views, decent grub, but awfull entertainment.

Sunrise island gardens......great for adults, familes with young children - No!
"Me and my husband stayed at the sunrise island gardens in june 2009. We was on our honeymoon. On reading the reviews i was begining to think we may have chosen the wrong hotel.....but we found our stay there enjoyable. Yes the food coulda been better in our opinion, but it wasnt bad either. Rooms basic, but clean. The whole place was clean, i was really impressed and you never saw any rubbish or waste about. Lovely pool, some days it was full around pool, unable to get a nice poolside sunlounger, but that wasnt very often. Beach and food at the beach bar...excellent. I did find the ongoing hassle of being asked to have a go of this, that or the other a bit of a pain, when all i wanted to do was relax and sunbathe!! Id deffo go back to sunrise island if just me and my husband, tho that wont happen now, as we have 6 children, id not recommend the hotel for those with children, as entertainment...well there isnt any. Thats there big downfall. And kids wouldnt like the food, they get sick of burgers and chips. as my children wouldnt eat what they had to offer. Id return to egypt and possibly try sunrise islan view, the sister hotel, heard thats alot better, and looks lovely from what i saw of it. "
