Best Place By Far!
"Me and My boyfriend has just returned from a 1 week stay at the Coral Sea. The hotel is spotless, the Gardeners are constantly cleaning around the pool, Housekeeping called everyday, you wouldnt even find a cigarette butt on the floor! there are plenty of sun loungers around the pool and beach. The food is quite good, plenty of fish/meat choices, salads, curry etc and they have themed nights also. The staff there are amazing, the best we have come across, they are constantly smiling and joking aroun. Finnleys bar has all the entertainement in the evenings and it is the best entertainment we have come across in an all inclusive complex. you cant smoke in there but you can just outside the doors and as one user has said, the msoke travells into the bar.....it does not! and the lounge bar is not smnokey as one person has claimed. If any of the hotel staff pester you in the day just say no thank you and they will leave you alone. Do not book any excursions with First Choice, go onto the beach and book with Aaron Waves. First choice wanted £110 for 2 of us to go scuba diving, with Aaron Waves we payed £70 for the 2 of us to go on a boat all day scuba diving with free soft drinks and food, 3 different stops on the Red Sea to go scuba/snorkelling.
Def be booking again!! "

Hit And Miss Not a five star.
"We have just arrived back from the coral sea hotel, had a lovely holiday relaxing by the pool which was always clean ,towel boys very freindly. The grounds of the hotel were really nice with the choice of pools. The staff are really helpfull and warm kind people [most of them].
The food was a bit hit and miss some days good other days not so good , but always edible.
Entertainment was appalling ,although i have to say the animation team work hard to try to entertain you, but no entertainment worth watching at night, so did get a bit boring unless you like to get bladdered every night in which case you would enjoy anything that goes. Rooms clean and spacious. A 3 Star hotel Never a 5 star , i am well travelled so i know what i am talking about.Tours very expensive with the reps first choice, who were helpfull as well. would not return to this hotel but deffinately to Sharm and Egypt.
Not A Five Star Hotel three star At the Most."

The good, the bad and the ugly
The staff were wonderful, always very helpful. Everywhere is kept in an immaculate condition, staff are always cleaning. The room was quite large with lots of storage for all those holiday clothes, shoes etc. The bathroom had a hair dryer but you might want to take your own as it might be a bit faster than the one supplied. The food was great, a bit repetitive, but you can always find something to eat, especially if you like fish. The bread and freshly made pizzas are to die for, as was the presentation of all the foods. The pool areas are kept spotless. Beach towels are supplied. There is a mini bus which takes you into Naama bay and I can recommend the glass bottom boat ride from Naama bay, it lasts for about 45 mins, the different variety of fish you see is amazing. There is also a chance to go snorkelling if you wish to. You can also take the bus to the old market. The market itself is not old, but made to look that way, there are hundreds of flies, also you get hassled a great deal there.
Nothing much to do in the evenings. The main bar/reception area is very smoky, ok if you smoke, but my partner and I don't so we couldn't use this area. You could use Finnegans bar, but although that is non smoking, people smoke just outside and the fumes whaft through. There are a large number of shops (touristy ones mainly) just outside the hotel entrance, but it does get boring after a few times and also you get fed up with all the hassle. There is a promenade between the hotel and the beach, but when you walk either way, there are only hotels which don't allow you into their bars (even though you would obviously pay for the drinks).
PLEASE DO NOT USE Starco Travel in Naama bay for any excursions. The staff there are very charming when you want to book, but when there is a problem, they are very unhelpful to put it politely. We booked a trip to see a dolphin show, they were supposed to pick us up at 2pm, they hadn't arrived by 2.45, the supervisor of the limousines in the hotel very kindly phoned for us, and they said that they didn't know which hotel we were in, even though we explained in detail when we booked. The bus arrived to collect us at 3pm (the show starts at 3pm), we arrived at 3.40 just to see the last 15 mins. We were told the driver would collect us at 4pm, but he didn't arrive back until 4.20. The following day we went back to Starco Travel and spoke to the boss, He said he wasn't the manager but he would get the manager to call us that evening at 7.30. No surprise that he didn't call us. We would have gone back again, but we were flying home the following day. NOT A NICE EXPERIENCE and it cost us
17 pounds sterling each and a lot of hassle. Please do not use them and end up having the same experience as us."

Never felt so frightened..don't go!
"Me & a friend booked a holiday to egypt, as people had reccommended it as a nice place. We knew it would be quite warm & went away for my birthday .We knew we would get abit of attention and looks being young, but it was just awful.
Had problems with electricity from day 2 of the holiday , phoned down to reception who sent Emad (Engineer) to have a look, he walked in on me in the shower, after she told him i was in there, Luckily there was a towell to hand!!!
This happened atleast twice a day, us having to phone down about having no electricity and air con! Problem was never resolved! Day before leaving to come home, they asked us if we wanted to move rooms??? WHY not ask at beginninng of holiday.
There wasn't a whole half an hour of our 1 week holiday where we wasn't being harrased. We had staff members knocking on out door, insisting for them to come in, saying we need cushions for balcony, when it was raining. They were just excuses to come into our room!
The staff in the hotel think everything is a joke, think its o.k to touch your face, make personal remarks, and be rude and abnoxious. Ahhmed in Irish bar through ice cube at my friends head, would'nt serve her alcholol all night because she hadn't smiled at him. Certain members of annimation team are a joke, rude & pure pests!!
In the day where we went to beach to relax, we had spa staff etc, sitting on our sunbeds , waking us up, invading our personal space.
''NO DOES NOT MEAN NO OVER THERE''
We went into Naama Bay in the day to do abit of shopping, we got locked in a shop. Both me and my friend had never felt so frightened in all our lives! We were both brought to tears. He was hugging us, and thinking it was ok to rubb himself up us!!!If he has done this in England, he would not have got away with this!! when he asked for kisses we said we were leaving. He said we werent leaving until we brought something, so we both purchased items we werent even interested in!! But were glad to get out of there!! After that we wanted to get straight back to hotel, the locals were calling us into shops etc, and we just ignored, wasn't even worth smiling. But because we ignored them we got followed up the street having abuse shouted at us.
Never felt to un-safe, and scared ever!! after day 3 we just wanted to go home, we were phoning home, because some days&evening we didnt want to leave our room. Glad it was just a week holiday, if it had been longer, think we may have booked flights home.
We didnt see any first choice reps for the first 4/5 days, so our problems could not have been resolved! Don't think ill book with them again!
We booked out on last day and they tried charging us for items out of the mini bar we hadnt touched!! They just think of money and thats it!! The resort&hotel were nice, weather was nice but the one day it was grey and rained. People are dangerous, dont realise how they make people feel. They need to realise No means No over there.
Would never go back, would never reccommend egypt and certainly not that hotel!!!!!!
I can say was glad to be home In Cold England!!!"

Not so good!
"Me and my boyfriend got back from the Coral Sea Resort 2 weeks ago. When we arrived it was late at night and the hotel did look nice all lit up. Our room was great but only because we had paid extra for it so we had a massive balcony. Beach is great, dead calm and relaxing. The pools were clean. Went to the Italian restaurant twice that was nice but only because im comparing it to the food in the buffet restaurant, which was shocking to say the least! I checked about 20 plates each day before actually eating off any of them because they were not clean! and the cups from all the bars were really dirty it actually put me off drinking sometimes.(and the alcohol is disgusting) The food in the buffet restaurant was always the same every night, they would change the odd thing. i lived off pizza and chips for 2 weeks, could not physicaly eat anything else as it just didnt look cooked and just looked disgusting. You couldnt get bottles of water in the morning, you had to wait until 12.30 till the restaurant opened! and you could only get ice cream through the day from the pool bar (no were else)! If you are thinking of doing any trips DO NOT book with your reps as they just rip you off, you are best to book with the company on the beach, you'll save 50% and the trips are exactly the same.(the red sea cruise and quad bikes are amazing) The entertainment on a night is shocking, in fact after the first week we ended up just going back to our room because you just get fed up of the same thing! However dont let me put you off Egypt, it is a really nice place and the weather is gorgeous, just dont think ill be coming back to this hotel again."

Entertainment for adults, when there was any, was terrible - most families sat around playing cards in the bar all night. We were in our room watching TV by 10pm every night, when we would normally be out until midnight when we are away.
The dining room was like a noisy school canteen and the food was very, very bland. This is the first time we have been all inclusive and would never do it again after this experience.
You cannot swim off the beach - the water is only up to your ankles for about half a mile and there is no coral/interesting fish off the resort beach.
The location is poor - Nabq is about half an hour from Naama bay and there are only a few shops and restaurants within walking distance.
This is a 2 star hotel (not 4 star) - take your own hairdryer - the hotel ones are all broken, it does not look as nice as it does in the brochure (my wife cried when we got to the room), the staff constantly get the drinks wrong and some of them on the reception can be quite rude i.e. taking calls when you are in the middle of a conversation.
The pool area is very nice, not too busy when we were there
The diving in Egypt is jaw dropping - I did 2 dive trips; scuba diving at Tiran island with Aquarius and snorkelling at Ras Mohammed with First Choice. Aquarius were far better organised - there was less waiting around, they are cheaper and there was just as much room on the boat (don't listen to the reps). Note that you cannot scuba dive at Ras Mohammed unless you have the PADI open diving qualification.
We honestly are not normally this negative and there were so many good reviews for this resort on this website but our experience was very different. "

"stayed at CSR from 28/7/09 until 11/8/09. had a fantastic stay here...got exactly what i requested on my booking form, ground floor room with pool view and also had view of the sea too; room was very good. pools were extremely clean and were deep cleaned as well as daily cleaned during our stay. food was of a very high standard- you could ask for something and they would cook it for you. waiters were very good and couldnt do enough for you. plenty of choice and food well presented; also very good selection of drinks. pool bars were also very good and despite what one review stated recently, children can get served....the egyptians love children and are very friendly. no problems with the ice as it is made from distilled water, also plenty of water available throughout the day and night, either by the bottle or from large dispensers; fruit juices also available in the lounge bar, just help yourself. fresh towels available every day from the towel boys....hello Mobarak and Moustafa! quieter around the smaller pool and the boys will find you a sun lounger if you cant find one, but i never had any trouble. plenty of managment wandering around and all staff are extremely polite and welcoming. spa guys work on commission so will come and try to sell you massages etc but they arent pushy. however, the treatments they offer are extremely good value for money and you get more for your money than you would back in the UK. hair salon is also very good...i paid less to have my hair braided than i would pay for a blow dry back home! they do appreciate being tipped and will accept egyptian, english or us dollars so bear that in mind.....they work very long hours for very little pay!
despite what past reviews have said about the entertainment, it is actually very good. the hotel employ the entertainers, not first choice and this does seem to have made a big difference. we had many enjoyable days and nights with Gigi, Mido, Kimo, Omar. Kelly, Maria and julia.....they all work extremely hard and are great fun to be around. they can even be seen around the hotel when people are leaving to go home, even if it is their day off they will come and dance goodbye to you all. the shops in the hotel will offer you a good deal if you choose to buy from them...i would say you will get better quality inside the hotel rather than outside of it, my husband was ripped off with fake golden virginia outside the hotel but he did get his money back. golden virginia at the hotel is the real thing and still only £7 per 50grams.....duty free at airport tend to run out, also the aircraft coming home, so be advised. airport was from our point of view very good indeed, run by the military with military precision....no hassle on arrival and a very samll delay which was due to a missing passenger for another flight back to the uk....they couldnt board our flight till that one had been dispatched. no horror stories at the airport, we had more hassle departing bristol and reclaiming luggage at bristol on our return! an excellent holiday all round, these people are genuinely warm. if you could just learn one word of arabic then let it be shokran (thank you).......they absolutely beam at you with appreciation. enjoy yourselves if you go here, we cant wait to go back. off to e mail the hotel directly to say thank you, thats how much we enjoyed our stay."

"We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Coral Sea Resort and I have to say that we want to go back there asap as it was wonderful.
There were 4 of us went, myself, husband and 2 boys aged 16 and 12. I was a bit worried about possible tummy upsets but we were all fine, food was lovely and very varied. The Dine Around restaurant was lovely and air conditioned, and we loved the waiters, so funny and helpful. The pool bars also served pop corn and ice cream and at lunch a very nice man set up a bbq by the larger pool and served sausages, chicken and steak to eat on your sunbeds.
It was very hot, still 35 degrees at night time, so you need loads of sun cream, we took factor 50 and still came back a very nice colour. You also need to drink loads of their bottled water, which you get for free from the restaurant.
You also get given free pool towels every day which was lovely and you can take them down to the hotel's private part of the beach too, where they also have a beach bar.
We went on the snorkelling trip to Ras Mohammed with First Choice and it was the best trip ever. The Red Sea is very salty, so don't drink it, but it does help you float with no effort at all, and the fish we saw. 3 of the boat's crew came in with us on each of the 3 stops and the guided us around the coral reef, pointing out rays, parrot fish, angel fish, butterfly fish, and we even saw clown fish - Nemo from the movie. We even had a family of dolphins swimming at the bow of our boat while we were at sea, amazing!!
The staff couldn't do enough to help us, nothing was too much trouble, and we will definitely be going back.

Best holiday ever
"We have just got back from a week at the Coral sea and what can I say it was fab, it was the best holiday we have ever had,we had read some reviews before we went, I was worried about the food and getting an upset tummy, there was nothing to worry about the food was great and there were no upset tummy's either.
All the staff are so friendly and helpful, the entertainment team are great especially GiGi.
The person who really made our holiday was Mohamed and Moberak who work in the towel bar at the river pool they are great with the kids and love a carry on at the pool, my 9 year old daughter took to Mohamed straight away.
When booking trips go to Aquarius on the beach they have the best prices but there is room for a wee bit af haggling, the glass botton boat is a must it was great.
Wash your hands after touching the money because it is filthy I wouldnt be surprised if thats why so many people get upset tummys, we carried had gel every where we went and used it all the time.

BEST HOLIDAY EVER
"We've just returned from our first holiday to Sharm. Our whole experience was out of this world. Hotel is beautiful, the reception staff are so helpful. All the bar staff are fantastic, and the waiters can't do enough for you. You are treated like royalty.
The animation team are wonderful, so funny, great with the kids. Mini disco is a must, even for adults.
By far the person who made our holiday what it was, was Mohammed at the River Pool. He's so helpful and cheery. Our wee one is only 18 months old and he took to Mohammed like a duck to water. He was his bestest friend. It really was sad to say goodbye to him.
WE ARE DEFINATELY BOOKING UP TO GO BACK NEXT YEAR, THIS TIME FOR 2 WEEKS. I HONESTLY COULDN'T THINK OF A BETTER PLACE TO BE

It was very hot !
"Just returned yesterday from 1 week at Coral Sea resort
.Did not get much of a 'sea view' from our balcony, more a view of the empty hotel opposite. Saying that, our room was very large and the twin beds were wider than average. The room was cleaned daily, but the towels were not changed at all for the whole week. The ppol areas are great with no problem getting a sun bed, but go down early if you want them under the sun shades. The staff are very friendly. If you want to keep your room on, pre-book it with First Choice as its cheaper. Have an aromatherapy message, it was absolutely brilliant and my skin felt so lovely after. Be careful of the food, which was always plentiful and tasty, but we did see a lot of people NOT using the hand was which is by the entrance doors and also picking cakes and bread up with their fingers. We actually saw a woman and her child pick up sme cakes, eat them without even going back to their table, then licking their fingers and picking up some more. No Wonder we got bad stomachs which lasted 3 days of our holiday. See the doctor in the pharmacy for some medication which will sort you out. Have still got a bad stomach today!. Take a trip on the submarine, it was brilliant - we booked with Aquarious down on the beach and was well looked after by our guide.Buy some water shoes if you like to walk in the beach only 40 EP and well worth the money as you will stand on stones and stub your toe, which really hurt. All things considered, even with the bad stomach, was a lovely place and well worth the visit.
