"Upon arrival we were welcomed by a rude reception guy with a serious attitude problem, he then continued to speak to myself and my partner very rudely and denied us even having a booking with the hotel even though we had booked over a month in advance! We then thought that maybe the manager may be able to shed some light on the matter yet he was just as useless as the guy behind the desk who offered no help, no solutions and pretty much said it was tough and not his problem.
We finally got sorted and moved to the coral hills hotel which was much nicer thanks to our holiday rep although this did take numerous calls back to the UK costing stupid amounts of money, in the 100's however our new hotel was much better, much nicer and professional than the originally booked Amar Sinai. We are an easily pleased couple who usually never moan however if you want a holiday from hell then go here!
In the 2 hours of sitting in lobby/actually being told to leave the hotel we also noticed 2 guest of Amar Sinai complaining of filthy rooms, filthy sheets etc.
AVOID THIS DIVE!!! Much better alternatives about, this hotel was that bad we question why a UK holiday company would even list this place. Onward and upwards, GO ELSEWHERE!

AWFUL AVOID AT ALL COSTS
"Dirty, old and falling apart, Animals in small petting section cleaner than pool area. no snacks, no bottled water, NOT disabled friendly, no clean beach, no snacks, no variety of food very basic kind of edible though, no variety of drinks, full fat cokes or orange or sprite, no red wine only white and like vinegar, local liqueur all watered down though, store beer bottles in ice that they serve in your drinks, Shisha are filthy, NO spa or Laundry services, rooms basic fairly clean. Entire hotel riddled with Mosquito and Sand flies, so Doctors surgery extremely busy. 1 restaurant, Gym are dirty majority of equipment not working. STAFF very good and very friendly (all except 1, big Mohammed, should sack him rude, lazy and unhelpful)
Apart from that met some fantastic people and had fantastic holiday, but then it is what you make it.

WASTE OF MONEY AND REGRET TAKING MY SON THERE FOR OUR 1ST FAM HOL;
"omg what can I say. This was a total nightmare and a horrible place for my first holiday as a family. I took my 2 year old son and it was a bad experience. I regret not reading reviews of the hotel before booking, I guess I was excited and was fooled by the pictures of the hotel and short reviews by website I booked my holiday through.
I agree with every word written by who wrote, shame, shame, shame.
I was informed there will be a microwave; oh please, so I can heat my sons milk up, so the whole week he had cold milk.
the hotel room was nasty, rusty, they said we will get a king size room, but the first one we got was a small with 2 single bed and a small cot, so we complained and got our king size room, it was better then the 1st room, but bathroom and toilet was dirty and old. The bed sheets was awful and there was dead mosquito all over the wall, my son and I got bitten by mosquito a lot. also the mini fridge was dirty, rusty and falling apart.
Anyways the pool was dirty, and the water was cold, my son really wanted a swim but was too dirty and cold.
Cleaning staff were very nice and helpful, reception staff was ok, restaurant staff didnât find them helpful. We had B&B wasnât great but it was ok.
we met another British couple from Essex and they felt the same way.
We did excursion with the guy next to the hotel, Hossam, he was amazing and gave us good deals, I def recommend him. And DO NOT LSITEN TO WHAT YOUR REP SAYS, THEY LIE and are a rip off.
but like others said if you looking for cheap then go for it, but I wouldnât go back there and I regret with my son. There was another family with 2 boys and they hated every second of it. I also wouldnât go back to the area, as there wasnât much to do as a family.
Hope my review helps you make a good decision, it def has been a lesson for me.

Fantastic staff, unforgettable experience!
"From the reception, dining to bar staff â they were all great hosts throughout our stay! No job was too small; they assisted us with taxis, excursions, health advice and much more so youâll be sure to feel safe. After an uncomfortable first night the reception and cleaning staff were keen to get us an even more spacious apartment room with poolside views; they further assisted us with a helping hand when it came to phone calls from abroad and wi-fi connection. We paid a one-off fee for hotel wi-fi and had access to use the internet cafe at our convenience.
The hotel itself is a bit dated but this is all forgotten when speaking to the staff, they make you feel at home...we had such a laugh with everyone including the guests due to the relaxed attitude of the team.
The hotel also has a private beach with free shuttle bus twice daily which is a short 10mins drive away. The beach area is small but beautiful from which you can walk down the rocks to find a heaven of open golden sand for your leisure. Iâd also like to say thanks to the beach staff as they are on guard not only for lifeguard purposes but also to warn off any mischief/dodgy blokes whilst you are in the water!
BUT...please DO NOT BUY YOUR EXCURSIONS FROM THE BEACH OR ANYWHERE OUTSIDE OF YOUR HOLIDAY COMPANY as this could be dangerous. Out of our own stupidity we went against the reps and the hotel managerâs advice and hence, had first hand experience and lived to regret it after a quad bike accident. After which the excursion people left my injured friend at the hotel and drove off without as much as an âare you ok?â
Luckily the hotel manager was kind enough to arrange a doctor to visit the injured...five/six jabs later and she was ok but this could have been a lot worse! He also arranged for the excursion people to refund our money and apologise which he was not obliged to do â THANK YOU MOHAMMED!
We would like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to all the staff but a SPECIAL THANK YOU to Mohammed (Hotel Manager), Allahâdin (General Manager), Shams (Reception Staff) and Amir (hmmm the fit barman â lol) it wouldnât have been a holiday to remember without you all!!! xxxx

Dirty and Unsafe
"The lobby of the hotel gives you a clue to wha you will get at this hotel. Dusty and dirty and obviouly not maintained.
Our room was not clean although the sheet (and I mean 1 sheet) on the bed was. The bathroom was dirty and the bath (about 1 metre long) was dirty and stained. the room smelt stale and unused so it was not exactly welcoming.
I managed to speak to the men who were cleaning rooms and after a bit of bribary they disinfected the bathroom and generally cleaned the room.
There is no glass in the windows, only wooden doors but that is in keeping with the look of the hotel but Mosquitos get into your room easliy. Walking around the hotel I noted that there were many bare wires showing where the ground level lighting was originally sited so this is extremely dangerous. Many of the covers of the bulbs wre missing and the bulbs exposed. these could easily be broken and someone electrocuted. This is especially dangerous for children.
the breakfast was the same every day, cold and unpalletable UGH UGH UGH!!!!!! There are flies everywhere and the hotel doesn't seem to care about this. they could install the electric fly killers that attract flies etc and then electrocute them. If you do decide to stay at this hotel go B&B only.
The beach that is supposedly 1,5 km away is about 4 kms distant. There is a beach abot 2km away but that belongs to another hotel. The so called "Private Beach" is in fact shared with other hotels. After being dropped of in the hotel mini-bus there are steep and sandy steps to negotiate down to the beach which is about 35mtrs vertically down from the drop off point. Not good if you're unfit or suffering from ill health. The drive with greasy long hair drives like a lunatic and I ended up shouting at him to get him to drive a little better.
The internet cafe is costly 10 Egyptian Pounds (UKÂ£1:10) for every 30 minutes but is OK. The Pharmacy that advertises as 24 Hrs is not and opens whenever the assistant feels like opening. The supermarket shelves are full but full of the smae things with little variety. Still it sells water, milk etc. I fortunately took a travel kettle so I could at least my wife and I could have a decent cup of tea/coffee when we wanted.
My wife discovered that the Hotel had, had no maintenance done for over 15years which sums it up."

"Stayed at amar sina xmas and new year. Never again bar staff rude when you could get one to serve you,no ice for drinks,a hot meal no chance. Had one day of rain staff got up on the roof to cover it with plastic sheets what a joke. We dont have a good word to say about this place. Take it from us dont go near the place. STAY AWAY"

dont waste your money this hotel is awefull
"where to start with this hotel the easist thing to say is dont bother wasting your money. we went for all inclusive but it was not all incusive at all it was full board with drinks there was no snacks as advertised the all inclusive finished at 2200 but if you think you can get a drink at 2150 think again they will either ignore you or tell you to bring your glass back to get a drink. the bar shut at 1800 for ramandam but didnt stay open for an extra 30 mins that it was shut for. the bar had cock crotes running around it, and the glasses where dirty they would rinse them under cold water then serve you in that glass on sevral occassions myself and parnter had glasses that smelt off alchol from the previous persons drink. the food was eadable but thats it, it was the same everyday if you like chicken, rice and pasta your be fine at this hotel.
the pool was dirty, dangerous and unhygenic i only saw the pool being cleaned once in the two weeks i was there, every morning there would be a layer of scum and flys on the top of the water. most of the tiles were either broken or missing if you pulled the broken tiles out the pool they just put them back in without fixing them, i cut my foot open on the pool and i want the only one. the 'saftey' matt around the pool was only there to cover up the holes underneath it, the matt also smelt and wasnt very well fitted there was tears in it that children could easialy trip over.
all i can say about this hotel is if you want to go on holiday and spend a furtune or lose weight go to this hotel but spend a bit of extra money and go somehwhere else this is the worse hotel i have ever had.............."

shoulve been called "wished i hadnt sina "
"just arrived back yesterday, at 1st sights on arrival seemed lovely , very in theme with eygpt , but there was no alll inclusive like promised with snacks 3 times a day like said in brochure and in hotel reception, in fact none at all, bar shut at 10pm not 11pm, during ramadam the bar shut 6pm-6.30pm every night but no one extended it till 10.30pm baring in mind that we are paying for that service, there is wires sticking out everywhere that are connected to other wires with tape , the pool is minging with scum all roung , tiles broke around pool and inside , lots of cut feet , the green matting ripped and smelly , toilets in room only flush as when feels no good if got sickness and diahorrea as most of customers had ,cockroaches in upstairs bar, the glasses werent washed they where put in fridge upside down from counter and served to next customer , no wonder so many people where ill , the food was shocking same old food, dry cold and just manky, when we complained it fell on deaf ears , 1 of the bar staff upstairs where so nasty to kids , serving them as and when he wanted and calling them names , public loos where minging never no loo roll, lights in pool hanging out , what a joke this place is , i would never recommend it ,"

not what it says on the label, completey misleading
"Hotel needed a make over and anyone that says i's value for money and not that bad clearly needs to go to spec savers. Amenities named in the adverisements were not available. It was supposed to be AI with snacks 3 times a day-there were non, 3 bottles of water per week for each person, a coffee shop?? where?? A fish Restaurant(shut down years ago by the look of it), no A la Carte as stated....
The pool was never cleaned half a dozen people at least cut their feet on broken tiles...
Air conditioning didn't work properly, one boy almost had his finger chopped off in a replacement fan.
Glasses weren't washed
Pool towels were left to dry out instead of being washed..
Phones in many rooms did not work..
The gym should be condemned as all the equipment was broken...
Opening times of bar and meal times did not correspond wih notice board.
Lack of food choice and quality... overload of melon & rice.."

Quaint, Interesting Nubyian Style Hotelwith friendly staff
"This is our sixth stay at the Amar Sina Hotel for myself and my partner on a B&B basis, it may not be everyone's "cup of tea" but we have always enjoyed our stay. On this trip we brought my partners mother out for her 70th (she has enjoyed the sun, hospitality of the staff and locals). The staff can't do enough to make your stay an enjoyable one. The rooms are comfortable, clean, basic with daily housekeeping . Reef public beach is a short stroll away and the location of the hotel is ideally situated between Naama Bay and Sharm Old Market. Hadabha has the Aqua Park and Nightly entertainment shows in Fantasia a stones throw away from Il Mercato (designer shopping mall). The Amar Sina hotel offers the tourist "Excellent value for money" so don't be put off by poor reviews, it may only be a 3* but some friends have stayed in a 5* and received worse hospitality. Get the Egyptian hospitality you deserve by staying here in the Amar Sina, we will be back in September for a "top up" of the Egyptian culture and hospitality."

We couldnt believe how bad it was
"Myself and my boyfriend stayed in Amar Sina in April 2010. When we pulled up outside the hotel we didnt believe that it was the same hotel as in the pictures. When we got to our room we discovered we had just a piece of foam as a mattress, the room was very dark and dingy - had one small window and the floor tiles were broken and sharp. Our room wasnt cleaned for 2 days and the shower wasnt propperly fixed. The hotel was a health and safety nightmare! Our air conditioning system was held on my sellotape and didnt have any buttons, just holes covered with more sellotape. We saw several accidents including someone being taken to hospital and needing stitches due to lack of handrails and slippery surfaces near the pool. A friend's son stood on a pin which was lying by the pool, when we asked for a first aid box they said they didnt have one, not even a plaster. The food was terrible, the same thing everyday, some kind of meat and overcooked rice. All inclusive didnt include juice, cocktails or water and stopped at 10pm. The hotel had several people who would come round to try and sell you things, spa packages, haircuts, hair removal and sheishas. It didnt matter if you told them you weren't interested, one man hassled my boyfriend everyday to have a shave, to finish with we had to complain about him before he would leave us alone! Not what you need when trying to relax by the pool.
The only good side to the hotel was the staff, very friendly and helpfull - except if you were Russian, they clearly showed their dislike towards them although the hotel was over run with them.
In my opinion, the hotel needs shutting down. It really was terrible.

value for money
"have just returned from a two weeks stay at this hotel, my fourth visit. I have always found the staff friendly and helpful, the rooms not lavish but clean with fresh linen every day, I admit the food could be warmer and more varied but excellant breakfasts. All in all this is an Egyptian hotel, not one of the big resort types, which is reflected in the price. As for mosquitoes, they tend to get everywhere don't they!I was with Olympic Tours"
