"I highly recommend this hotel (or rather complex of 3 hotels). The room was clean and comfortable, with fridge and safe. The public areas were also clean, the staff welcoming and friendly. Not many other British tourists - but my partner managed to talk football with Germans, Russians and staff :)! The food was plentiful and tasty, if not memorable (apart from some lovely mini-burgers at the beach bar, and the soup..). We enjoyed having access to the facilities of the two other hotels (the Jasmine Village and Ali Baba Palace)- particularly walking along the beach to one or other after dinner, and having a drink. We definitely plan to return to Hurghada (this was our first visit) and to the Aladdin Beach (or the Jasmine or Ali Baba). I think that the complex has something for everybody. "

"At times I wonder what it is about Brit travellers that they belly ache if chips are not on tap 24/7.We were a group of four and all of us can't praise the whole standard of the hotel highly enough. Rooms are spacious extremely clean with plenty of hanging space ,coathangers included!!! and were cleaned every day .

Food was superb with a great choice from morning till night Each day there were at least two choices of meat and a fish course ,fresh fruit in abundance ranging from pomergranite to juicy dates, desserts to die for with at least eight choices. The beach bar provided small snacks such as chicken kebab,100%meat burgers ,chips and a sslad bar at lunch time.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and given the low wages they are on giving a tip as a gesture of appreciation was always useful. One word regarding tips don't give coins as they have great difficulty getting them changed in paper money(banks do not accept coins) better would be one dollar bills.

As for airport transport to and from the hotel don't book your transfer with your tour operator as ours wanted £17.00 a head and we got there for £10.00 both ways for 4 through med hotels which is situated near the wooden booth about 50mts outside the airport.
Would we go back? We certainly will possibly in March.

"Well what can I say.....Booked a family room fully inclusive for myself, hubby and 2 year old son. Our room had garden views and was very clean. The resort was infact very clean and lovely gardens. The waiters are friendly once they realise you are english as the russians can be very ignorant and treat them like dirt. The food is basic BUT thats what you get when you go to Egypt. We ate at the Jasmin (sister hotel) twice during the week and enjoyed the food there too. Plenty entertainment in the pub, down at pool they has games, exercises, water gym etc All the staff were great with our son and kept him amused at times.

For fully exclusive it was worth it. A Taxi from the airport cost us 60 LE but going back from a local taxi outside hotel cost us 45LE.

"I left the uk on 4th sep with my partner and our 7month old son my mother and step dad.I was so excited as the hotel looked very nice and i was happy with the reviews i read, until we got there.

we got to the hotel at 1.30am. nowhere was open to get a drink,we had 2 rooms 2 doors away. the room i stayed in was 2718 it was ok bit old fashioned, there is a fridge with bottled water in. Also everything was 'lose'. the lamps over the bed. the patio doors weren't very secure and neither was the front door.
The bathroom was shabby and had a hole in the bottom of the bath no bath plug. try and figure out how you can have a bath without the plug!! not one in the sink either. i had to ask for a bowl to wash my baby in as the shower would get very hot suddenly. the towel rail was also hanging off the wall. talk about health and safety!!

There were no facilities for my son, we asked for a cot, they tried to get us to have our son to sleep on the couch. we said no as he could have rolled off and seriously hurt himself. the man then left trying his upmost to get a tip. my mother then had to ring reception to get someone to bring a cot. the same chap came back with a cot which didn't look too safe.

THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE

I didnt eat much all week breakfast was ok but lunch and dinner was horrible. i ate cheese rolls and grapes all week.
The salad was all mixed in with other herbs and spices, so if you wanted a certain thing you would have to dig for it. there was no choice at all for children. not even chips!
Everyone rushed for the food so by the time you got there it was cold anyway. watch out for families trying to push their way in front of you.

It states that you can also eat at the 2 hotels either side of Aladdin but there are only 8 places available so you have no chance to eat there.

The beach bar was ok but u get very small portions.

THE STAFF

Very rude and arrogant especially by the pool. dont expect any smiles from these guys. they really look like the dont wanna be there! they were ok in the main restaurant. i often needed hot water to wash my sons bottles but the waiters were very funny about giving us them so we had to tip them to get the hot water.

Do not get a taxi from the hotel we asked to go to village road to go shopping and the taxi driver dropped us off at his brother's shop and told us to walk around the corner. we then realized that he took us to the wrong place so we had to pay another taxi to take us back,we reported this to the manager and he apologized on the drivers behalf and the next day took us to our destination for free.

PEOPLE

hardly any English. we felt pretty much alone. the staff didn't understand us half the time. we met one couple the whole week we were there the rest were either German, Russian or polish

LAST DAY

Our flight wasn't till late in the evening so we asked if we could keep 1 of the rooms till 9pm they told us there was no rooms available we stated we had a baby and they then let us have 1 it cost $65 and they wanted our wrist bands back so we couldn't eat or drink, they then gave us a voucher so we could get lunch and dinner. At 2.20pm we went to the beach to get a snack and they wouldn't let us eat there even though we had a voucher they said we was too late. they said lunch finished at 2.00pm and when i went to reception to query this they said food was served until 2.30pm. we didn't know who to believe.

The only good thing about the Aladdin beach resort was the pool area there are 2 good size pools with a baby pool/ the only downside was the area around the pool is very slippery so be careful. there is hardly any shade either for those who dont like too much sun. the music for aerobics is very repetitive.
About 60% of the sun beds were broken, they give you towel cards to get towels but get there befor 10am as they go rather quickly.

Will not recommend this hotel to anyone. it was a total waste of money!!!!"

"I like staying at this hotel. We had very good placed rooms about 50 metres far away from the main restaurant Agrabah and only one minute of walking to the reception. At the reception the safe boxes are free and there are also computers with internet connection (15 min= 15 L.E., quite expensive but when you need something you have no other choice). There is also lobby bar with drinks from 9:00 a.m to 0:30 a.m. and also some bar or pub where I have never been. There is also doctor. The equipment of the rooms was OK -fridge,hair drier, telephone, TV with lots of programmes from whole the world, curtains, shower & bath, air-conditioned..U can have cold water only from the fridge ( with all inclusive it is free, everyday you have some bottles of water)because water tubes are probably underground and then water is warmed up. Rooms should be cleaned everyday but cleaner may ask you whether he should clean it or not. If you say yes, he must do it. Of course, everybody wants some tip, cleaner, waiter, man who carry your luggage..Simply everybody without exception, but it is optional. The food in the restaurant is delicious, u have lots of choices starting with rice and ending with lama meat. There is a lot of vegetable and some fruit, cakes are commonplace. The staff is usually great, but if you come when finishing, they are sometimes not very friendly. Be carefull about offering drinks - fanta, sprite, tang, beer, spirits etc. are free (if all inclusive) but you have to pay for fresh juices anyway. You have clean towel everyday on the beach . The slope is gentle, you can find stones, but also sand there. One, not very pleasant situation had happen when an oil was at the sea and it smelt. On the beach you can play volleyball every day (I love it :)and there is also bar where you can have a drink until 5 p.m. and also lunch (chips with something) from 1pm to 4.30 pm. The beaches and swiming pools are closed at 6.00pm but you can stand there longer (Jasmina beach). All inclusive is valid in the other two hotels, Jasmina 3* and Alibaba 5*. You can also have a breakfast, a lunch and also a dinner in one of these hotels but you have to say it on the reception. Then they give you a special card for entering. In the hotels there are mainly people from Russia, then Poland, Germany, Czech rep., Switzerland, and SLOVAKIAA (me :) Almost every member of staff speaks English, the most of them speaks Russian and some of them also German ( I did not try other languages). Entertainment - very good. The animation team is great. U can play water polo, volleyball, darts... In the evening a program is near the lobby bar, at 9:45pm also in amphiteater (it's the best)- every evening some different program. At the end there are always two or three songs and everybody dance (group dancing with animation team, they are great but their boss, MOMO, is the best :) then fun continues at the Gene discotheque till 0:30 am (I think).Comparing to the program in Aibaba and Jasmina it's great because there is boring program or none. Simply said - Aladdin is very good hotel. But probably now you are asking why I gave only 9 out of 10 - the answer is that everybody wants some tip and everybody loves me :D and it is not very pleasant when you have to hear from waiters on the beach everyday :D"

"just come back from staying at the Alladin hotel having stayed there 4 years ago when the hotel was on halfboard basis when everything was fine, now it has gone all inclusive the standered has dropped way down as far as the food is concerned, it is now awful, and I mean awful! my family and I were starving, as all the food seems to be catered for the russians.
We lived on soup, that was like dish water and sweet rolls. pasta with a thin tastseless sauce. If we wanted an omlette breakfast time we had to line up for about ten minutes.
The drinks were ok if they remembered to put the alcohol in it after you had ordered it, then waiting for 15 minutes for your order to come, then lucky if you saw the waiter again unless you run round looking for him.
Other than that all the rooms, cleaners ,and the rest of the staff were ok.
I suppose you get what you pay for in the end, and it was cheap, but not four star in anyway."

"Went to Aladdin on 30th November for two weeks. Check in was fast, no problems. Were taken to our room which was smashing. It was a bungalow room it was about two mins from pool 3 mins from beach perfect!

Aladdin Beach is a great hotel would recommend to anyone! Clean hotel, staff friendly can’t do enough for you.

We sometimes spent days round the pool but found it noisy sometimes so then we would go to the beach much quieter you can use beaches at the Aladdin jasmine and ali baba to so have a choice!

Can go to hotel lobby and get drinks in daytime to in afternoon they have tea and coffee with cakes all part of all inc! Clean towels can be obtained daily from beach at a booth just behind hotel pool.

Found the Jasmine Beach to be best one Aladdin had stones water was cool at this time of year but we braved it!! Went on boat trip to four islands would recommend this but take some warm to wear bit cool bobbing along the waves!!

We ate at each bar sometimes at lunch or the pool bar had a choice of chicken sandwich or cheese and tom or burger e pizza and chips all part of the all inc or you could go to main restaurant the agrabah, went there every night for a meal never went hungry plenty of chicken rice salads beef stew potatoes pasta etc! Only thing that spoilt it was the greedy rude Russians!! Pushing in eating like their last supper and as for the fruit thing it must be like gold dust to them!!!

If you want to you can obtain a voucher from reception to eat a jasmine or ali baba hotel to. Rooms were cleaned daily fresh towels daily to. Free bottle water left in fridge daily to had new ones installed when we were there with a safe built in them which was good as we had to keep going to the ones at reception.

Went into town on hotel bus was £1 return bit intimidating two women alone so after that we went to shops down the road go out of hotel turn left and about 20 min walk down road was not as bad there for hassle.

We went on a jeep safari was a good afternoon got bit cool at night so take something warm if you go. Went to Luxor the first week it was a great trip travelling was bit much was about 5 hours + take mossie repellent got bit when there but not at hotel!

Luxor was a great trip would recommend you go a strange sight about 2-3 hundred coaches in a convoy stopping only once we had an armed guard cos we were British on board coach stopped at Bedouin market on route they tried it on a bit with high prices but we stood our ground got some bargains!! Its a long day but worth the money had a boat trip on Nile, lunch at restaurant beside Nile a must trip for anyone!!

The second week we flew to Cairo on an organised trip, was a great day for both trips hotel provide packed lunch wasn’t up to much though, Cairo’s a lovely place would visit there again its a long day but a must see, felt pyramids were spoilt by being hassled round them you can’t stand there and enjoy the sight in peace also have built up too close to them spoils the effect when you’re at the sphinx and can see kfc and pizza hut!

We had lunch in a restaurant with a view of pyramids was lovely meal best we had all week!! The guide was brilliant woman really friendly. When got back to hotel at 10.30 hotel restaurant was still open for anyone who had been on trips until midnight which was great.

All in all a great hotel just a shame not more English staff even said this that were a pleasure to have as guests! Would go back again for sure!"

"We had a fantastic holiday, weather was really good for February. The hotel was clean and well equipped.

The hotel is situated on lovely beach with great snorkelling opportunities. Make sure if you’re visiting the hotel you go on the boat trips from the beach, the snorkelling is amazing and you may even see dolphins like we did.

The food is good, but possibly could get a bit boring after two weeks. Evening entertainment could be better but they have an English pub with live music which we enjoyed the most. Hotel was very clean with friendly staff.

This was a second time of going back so it must be good."

"The Aladdin Beach Hotel was clean. Our room was spacious and cleaned daily with fresh towels daily and bed linen changed every other day.

Water was provided free of charge in room in fridge - most welcome. Most of the guests were Russian and German with only a few Brits, but I found this not to be a problem.

They were big drinkers (and eaters) but held it well and never appeared drunk, I found this amazing. The food was repetitive but plenty of choice and plenty of it.

The staff were quite simply superb - nothing was too much trouble. On the down side the evening entertainment was not too good - possibly more to the taste of the other nationalities.

If you venture into Hurghada it be prepared to be hassled, hassled, and hassled - but politely. It is quite wearing and spoils what could be an enjoyable shopping trip (we were 2 unaccompanied ladies) possibly having a man with you could be a help.

The weather was fantastic, around 26C every day, but there is a wind that is cooling and can catch you unawares and get you sunburnt."

"I found this resort exceptionally clean. There were 26 in my group and the staff where exceptionally helpful in all respects. Not one member had the Egyptian Tummy.

The food was mainly carbs with the odd fruit, however food was in abundance and extremely tasty.

The room staff were very polite and nothing was too much trouble and plenty of fresh drinking water was available at any time.

The beach cafe again very polite and the staff helpful.

The room itself was very cool with air conditioning and towels changed daily.

If there is anything lacking in this resort it’s the quite nightlife. However you can use either sister hotel including being able to use your all inclusive at these hotels.

We all had a very pleasant stay and will be returning again next year!"
