"We were looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday and in Daniella village we found much more than that. The service of the hotel is fantastic; the food was very good and the diving was the most fantastic part of the trip. It felt home to receive a warm smile from everybody every time. Egyptian people are very gentle and curious about people, don't skip having a nice conversation with them.
We recommend this place for a welcome holiday, with a fantastic diving and snorkeling.

An Oasis of peace and quiet

"If you’re looking for a really relaxed holiday where you can totally chill and reload your batteries, Daniela Village is the place to be.
It is so quiet, I sometimes thought my ears were blocked.
A big thank you to the chefs! The food is really tasty and the menu changes every day. Be warned about the deserts, as they are delicious!
The service is very good and because it’s a small scale hotel it feels very warm and welcoming.
Make sure to not miss the tea-time at 5pm with the Bedouin.
The snorkelling at the house reef is amazing and the padi diving centre offers a wide range of diving possibilities in the area.
Again, because it’s not a standard massive, un-personal resort, you get to know other guests and the happy peacefulness seems to rub off on everyone.
We also did a 2 day trip to Petra (Jordan) which you can organize from the hotel. A ‘must do before you die’ experience although it was quiet tough getting up at 3am.
I will be back!"

"This is a magnificant cosy resort. The staff are extremely friendly. It is like having your own private villa. Not disturbed by the mass tourists. A Hotel where you can have everything and at the same time relax like you've never relaxed before.
The hotel has it's own private beach and reef and a professional diving centre. It's all so beautiful there. It's a family run hotel and they treat you not just like any tourist, but part of their family."

WOW - Relaxing - Great Beach - Great Diving - Great Service

"I stayed for 2 weeks in total, 1 week of diving the local sites with Daniella Diving Team and a second week when my girlfriend joined me for out site-seeing tours arranged by the Daniella hotel (we went for an overnight trip to Petra/Dead Sea).

The diving organisation and quality was nothing short of exemplary; with a house reef with all day snorkelling to die for and a lovely cool off pool for those apres-dive afternoon!!!

The food buffet style for breakfast and dinner was not only presented wonderfully the combination of salads with local and traditional dishes was a 'taste-sensation'

The staff where on hand and helpful to the maximum with courteous manners which all in all is sometimes a rarity.

The hotel itself is miles away from what i feel is the hustle and buslte of Sharm, if its nightlife you want stay there!!, but if you want R&R, nice views, nice service and diamond hotel within easy reach of Dahab size town you can't go wrong."

"Lovely hotel, warm personal welcome and great location - near enough to Dahab on the shuttle bus (or if going in the winter, hotel will arrange cheap minibus during the day). Any hotels right in Dahab tend to be for divers/backpackers and there is no proper beach there. Daniela is spacious and totally for you if you want to dive, snorkel or just laze by the pool and beach. I was pregnant and travelling alone with a toddler and yet found it relaxing, just hanging around the beach with the odd trip into Dahab by day. Swimming pool is very cold in January - no-one went in! But the sea is lovely if you get proper shoes to get past the coral shoreline. Rooms are fine and all have beach front terrace / balcony; minibar is adequately stocked and you can of course put your own drinks in there. Buffet food is ok but like anywhere will get repetitive. Staff were lovely and friendly, and would bring little extras for my 17 month daughter. We both had tummy trouble and they did their best to help. (Not sure if it came from the food, but seems 70% of tourists get a bit sick in Egypt). If you go half-board, lunch is also good and very reasonable, or just go into Dahab. The Daniela arrange trips too should you get bored. January is quiet but there is also a nice, friendly atmosphere there, esp lots of Dutch who are very easygoing. (You hear that Sharm is full of rowdy Russians). When I checked out the other hotels along the road (Tropitel, Miami Club) I knew I'd made the right choice with the Daniela. Just a lovely vibe."

Best hotel in the area

"This place made our holiday. A breath of fresh air from the nightmare of Naama Bay. Diving centre had a top class tutor - Jessica - who took us straight in the sea; no pool sessions. The hotel is a stones throw from the Blue Hole, one of the best dive sites in the world.

The management of the hotel were extremely flexible, gracious and polite who never pressurised us over anything. The food was a real highlight also, buffet style with genuine local dishes.

We stayed there not knowing what to expect...ended up there for 10 nights, went to Sharm el Sheikh, then RETURNED to daniela the next day.

Just brilliant - cant reccomend it enough and will return"

Very Relaxing!!

"6 of us stayed at the Daniela for a few nights in April, a very relaxing place. We loved it, a small pool, nice beach, great snorkeling right from the beach. If you're looking for a party spot, stay in town but if you want to relax this is the perfect spot very isolated from other hotels. Short and cheap shuttle ride into Dahab whenever you want it.

Food was excellent, staff was very friendly! Loved the surroundings."

Lovely Hotel

"This is a very nice hotel - just outside Dahab. We had our own transport so perhaps that made life easier for trips into town, without relying on the Shuttle Bus.
We spent a week there, snorkeling, diving and chasing crabs with our two small children.
There is no sandy beach at all, which is a bit hard for little kids, so bring shoes that can go in the water. There is a playground, and the manager found some pedal cars and bikes for our kids to play on. The food was lovely, the staff very friendly. We had no complaints at all."

Daniella Village, Dahab

"We booked with Daniella Village after speaking to their customer services via email. They were very helpful and offered us an off peak discount. It was still cheaper to buy a package deal with Olympic Holidays and pay for the diving seperately when we arrived.

The transfer from Sharm el Sheihk airport to Dahab was very good and the Olympic reps were friendly and helpful.

The Daniella Village is 3km outside the Bedouin town of Dahab and is very picturesque. The view from your room is spectacular, over the coral reef to Saudi at the front and the imposing mountains at the back.

The room was big, clean and had a minibar with water, cans of fizzy pop and beer. It was refilled when you used the water up and was very reasonable (60p GBP) for 1.5L of water 70p for a can of coke. It was however, a bit run down and could do with a spruce up.

The staff were friendly but obviously overworked. They were there at 7am and still there at 11pm.

The food was edible but not great. It was a buffet and it was always luke warm or cold. We didn't have any problems with our tummies til we eat out in Dahab and the hotel were very proud of their standards. Lunch was a la carte and always much better than the buffet proving that the chefs were good cooks but the equipment just couldn't keep it warm.

The dive centre was well run and we really enjoyed our time under water. It was however, quite expensive if you were only doing a few dives. We did 12 and it worked out at 20 euros per dive. We always had nice places to go and nice places to kit up so that side of the holiday was great.

The Daniella Village has a wonderful location, is well run and set up. It was only let down by the food and being a bit run down. It was very quiet in February and if you were not diving there is very little to do."

Very basic

"We used this hotel only because of its location near some of the most beautiful diving sites of the Red Sea. This is a very basic hotel regarding amenities, no luxury at all. The rooms are ok, no TV, the bathroom had some leaking problems, there is only shower no bathtub. There is a bar by the reception where you can watch TV and outside there is a pool that we didn't use because we were diving all day. So I would recommend this hotel only because of its location by the diving sites and it's cheap."

Something about the Daniella resort left...

"Something about the Daniella resort left me feeling charmed. The location is not great (about 5km out of the main strip), the rooms are pretty standard, the facilities are OK and the food is adequate at best, but still, I smile when I remember the place.

I think the fact is there is just a friendly ambience about the place. All the staff are warm and welcoming and this is the crucial aspect which made me enjoy my stay there. From the reception desk, to the restaurant, to the dive centre, to the pool side, to the gy who drives the transfer mini bus, I really liked the people who were working and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

I'd definitely go back and reccomend it warmly to anyone who would be prepared to overlook the slightly shabby rooms in return for a truly personal standard of service.
