"The Trip was a mini cruise, it was well organised with little waiting around other than the usual.
The meals had been booked prior to sailing and there was the occasional bit of confusion around table reservations etc but all were dealt with satisfactorily. The food on board was excellent (my partner is a vegetarian and felt that little choice was available for her) as was the entertainment, the bar prices were reasonable too at around £2.65 for a Guinness.
The crew were always helpful and polite except for one waitress in the restaurant who was quite offhand and slightly rude, this may have been cultural and she was busy but a smile is often the curve that straightens out the problem. Overall a very relaxing experience I will travel DFDS again possibly in April next year I fancy a couple of days in Kristiansand."

"The cruise itself was quite enjoyable. It was very easy to board and find our cabin. We boarded at Newcastle.
Our cabin was not particularly clean, there was dry chewing gum by the bed, and stains on the pillowcases and the plug did not work in the sink.
The entertainment on the ship was really good. Although it was only a short cruise, they had plenty of entertainment such as bands, singers and dancers as well as a casino, pub, cinema and restaurants.
We arrived in Gothenburg at 5pm, which was slightly disappointing as all the shops were closed when we got into the town. I think they should have arranged the timing slightly better so that if we wanted to visit the town and go shopping the shops would all be open.
I did not feel that the staff were very friendly on the cruise and could have been a bit more helpful - the shop staff were quite rude infact. We had paid for our meal on the way home and we offered our tickets upon arrival in the restaurant. We were told to just take a seat and help ourselves to the buffet, which we did. After leaving the restaurant we went to the nightclub. Approximately 2 hours later the waitress from the restaurant came up to us and informed us in front of other holiday makers that we had not paid for our dinner - we had paid on the Internet when booking the cruse and had offered that waitress our meal vouchers when we arrived in the restaurant! It was slightly embarrassing and we were asked to go down to the reception to sort it out. We did not receive an apology when it was concluded that we had infact paid.
Gothenburg itself, looked like a really nice place and I did enjoy the holiday, however, I have travelled on other ferries and cruise ships before and would not recommend DFDS to anyone simply because of the service we received!"

"The mini cruise was out of this world, so long as you stayed on deck 7 or 8 (deck 8 is where we always stay, its the commodore deluxe). Never go to deck 2 as itâs the slums and itâs where the riff raff go. We ate dinner on board and it was nice and tasty so long as you ate away from people from deck 2, they didnât know how to use cutlery. Lots of micons on board. Overall 9 out of 10 (so long as you stay off deck 2, then it would be 2 out of ten (get it?)). Youâd be better off in the car at home. See you, Iâm off to the free mini bar on DECK 8!!!!"

"The Cruise was Ok apart from the lack of choice of meals, they were either a-la-carte £20 a time pre-booked sitty downs or £5.00 sarnies! no burger & chips or the like..
There was a really bad storm coming back and the ship made some scary noises in the night....ooohh!
The staff were friendly enough and the cabin was quite clean, most of the prices were in SEK (Swedish Krona) but they accepted GBP which was ok.
overall it was an enjoyable cruise.
