"This is a fabulous hotel, the staff and the hotel are 5 star plus, so much so I am going back this weekend with 10 others.

All the pictures in the brochures and the web pages do not do it justice and will be telling the hotel manager to make sure that he gets them to change them. Everything is like brand new, the rooms are excellent and the staff could not be nicer.

The surroundings are absolutely fabulous I can’t wait to go back.

We went to the Hemera because we went...

"We went to the Hemera because we went to the same place last year and loved it.

We didn't realise that over the winter the hotel had been completely refurbished. Last year we had a good room, this year we had a great and brand new room.

Staff are friendly, good international mix of UK, Dutch, German, Russian and a few Scandinavian.

The beach area (and I know this having walked in both directions) is probably the best in this stretch with plenty of large sunshades and sunbeds.

Will we go next year - there is a better than evens chance - it has pretty much what we want from a holiday even the animators are not half bad! Thoroughly recommended.

"This was once again a fab holiday. We returned for the second consecutive year and will be returning not next year, but the following.

Had a great holiday, the animation team were great as always.

This hotel is a brilliant place for all kinds of families with young kids, and teenagers, even young couples; it has facilities for all. I recommend a Turkish bath for anyone who likes to relax and be pampered.

Fizz bar is always worth a visit for a dance and a drink, not expensive if you fancy a night outside the hotel.

Best holiday I have had, enjoyed it so much and a great place to meet new friends, have a laugh and if you are feeling cheeky causing a bit of mischief as we always managed to do!

"Wow!! What a hotel. We just can’t find anything bad to say about the hotel, staff, or resort. Side is a lovely resort with everything you could possibly want or need on a holiday.

The hotel is situated in a very good spot. With its own stretch of beach with free sunbeds and parasols. We had two sixteen year old girls with us and they loved it and would love to go back.

The hotel entertainment is very good, they work so hard to please everyone. We laughed every day, the animation team especially Robyn, Steve, and Scooby, made our holiday all that bit more special. Steve is from England and is a great bloke so if you go please say hi to him from "Adam n eve" Karen and Dave, he will know who we are.

Across the road from the hotel is plenty of shops and bars. Very cheap to eat out and cocktails are about 6 Euros and very strong! The golden fizz is a great dance bar and so is queens. They stay open very late which is great if you want to stay up after the entertainment has finished in the hotel. The main lobby bar is a 24 hour bar and is very comfy and relaxing.

It deserves the 5 star it is, is very clean and new, the rooms are spacious and the beds are huge. The maid was in everyday and changed towels and sheets every other day. Don’t take any towels as they give you beach/pool towels that you change every day.

The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff there are great.

Although we didn’t have young children, the kids club looked good fun and the kids all seemed to enjoy themselves.

There are English, Germans, Russians, Belgium French and Turkish people. We found them all to be friendly. Lots of English go here and are returning year after year.

If you’re considering it, please go. It has just been done up and is all new. There are lifts to all floors and slopes for pushchairs and wheelchairs.

You will enjoy it.

We have stayed in all inclusive...

"We have stayed in all inclusive hotels before but oh my, what a place the Hemera is! It is absolutely fantastic. The hotel staff are really helpful, polite and well "groomed".

The food is fresh, plentiful, varied with different themes of nationalities such as Italian nights, Mexican nights etc. There are plenty of sun beds if you set your alarm early.

Free towels, water and soft drinks in your room every day. We have never stayed in a hotel that is constantly being cleaned it is spotless, even the toilets and as for your room it just cannot be faulted. If you go out of the hotel onto the front go for a hair cut and shave at "Oscar's" you will get pampered for about one and a half hours for 9 euros, believe me you will go back every other day.

People complained about the animation team which was quite poor but in fairness we didn’t go for that.

We went on a boat trip we were out for 9hrs got lunch on the boat all for 12 euros (walk to the beach turn left and it is the first place you come to that does water sports).

There are plenty of bars in the grounds; the bar in the reception is open as long as you drink, you can even order a late night Kebab to be delivered! We wasn’t going to submit any info because every one we spoke to are booking again for next year, but the day we returned we booked straight away for the Hemera.

I could go on all night about the Hemera it was that good. Thank you every one brilliant!

"Me and my best friend stayed at the Hemera last July and really enjoyed it. We just went for a relaxing holiday!

The food was excellent offering lots of different choices and restaurants, which was good as my friend is a fussy eater. Hemera has its own part of the beach which is lovely and was only a short walk away from the main pool area; it also has a beach bar for all your drinks and tasty homemade pizzas, burgers and salads.

There was also a patisserie open daily for ice-cream, cake and coffee. Every day in the afternoon 2 members of staff would walk round the poolside with melon and water so you didn’t have to move from your seat!

The entertainment team are working almost 24/7 with the children, round the pool, or working on routines for the nightly entertainment. All lovely people!

We were quite surprised on arrival how nice the rooms were, it wasn’t really expected. Mini-bar stocked up with cold soft drinks was good... all very modern... clean bath robes, towels and bed sheets daily!

They weekly hold a foam party on the beach which was fun and was enjoyed by all ages from the kids to the grandmas! Really good! It is true that it’s a battle putting your towels down... You have to get them down early or there is no spaces round the pool!

Can’t wait to go back but as it’s gone up to a 5* hotel the prices have reflected this... Overall it was an excellent holiday!

"Just got back from staying at the Hemera for two weeks.

Had a fantastic time, the hotel was very clean. We stayed in a family room which was more than ample for four of us.

The hotel itself is only surpassed by the animation team; they are truly the most precious thing that the hotel possesses. Whatever you hear about scoobie, MacLean’s, Ali and the rest of the crew does not do justice enough to them, and they seem to work all day and all night genuinely looking after you.

Can’t wait to go back next year as we feel we have to see our friends again.

Just returned from a utterly...

"Just returned from a utterly fantastic 2 week holiday at the Hemera Hotel in Side. It was one holiday that we really didn't want to return from!!

We met lots of lovely people from all sorts of backgrounds - lots who had been here before & lots who hadn’t but who would all come again.

We arrived very late on a Sunday night to a welcoming reception with directions as to where we could grab something to eat. The room we had was very clean & very roomy - cool laminate flooring, large double bed, TV, air con, simple bathroom with the most fantastic walk-in shower!

The room was extremely well cleaned daily with fresh towels & replenished mini-bar F.O.C. Simple to use free safety deposit box. Very simple room but very nice & comfortable all the same.

The very large pool was lovely with a separate small children’s pool & another part divided by a footbridge with two waterslides. Lots of sunbeds surrounding the pool although the only gripe was that you had to get up a 6 am to reserve one(or two). If you can't beat them, join them!!

The food was fantastic all-round wherever you ate. The main buffet restaurant served so many different & varied dishes that you couldn't help but find something you liked -even if you are the fussiest eater in the world.

The snack bar (near the beach) served simple but tasty lunch. Pizzas, pasta, burgers. Omelettes, salads, soups, breads, cheese, baked potatoes - to name but a few. There are 3 other separate restaurants, fish, international & Turkish. We only tried the Fish (as we ran out of time - it went so quickly!!).

Others we talked to recommended them all but you must book at least one day in advance!! You don’t have to wear long trousers in any of the restaurant which I found pleasing.

The hotel is right next to the wonderful beach. However there are a few hidden rocks under the water so be careful. Although if you walk out of the hotel onto the beach & go to the left past the watersports place then the rocks seem to disappear - walk to the right & the rocks get more frequent.

This was our 1st all inclusive holiday & I can honestly say that we would never do anything else now. Absolutely fantastic , everything was included from beer, spirits, wine, soft drinks, ice cream, cakes & coffee.

The hotel staff were friendly, waiters were helpful & animation team were very good. If you don't want to get involved then you don’t have to but I would certainly recommend that you do. Great fun !! The evening entertainment was good & the Olympics were great to take part in ( if that’s your thing !).

All in all it was a fantastic holiday enjoyed by us all & would totally recommend it. One thing I would have to say is that it is not quite 5 star standard for me. Although it is a very good 4 star!!

"We visited this hotel in July, upon arrival the hotel was fantastic, it was spotlessly clean, and the staff were very friendly.

We did feel a bit guilty as we never really got the chance to see the local life, as everything we could possibly want was provided in the hotel.

The entertainment staff were exceptional, the waiters and barmen very polite and friendly.

The hotels own beach had plenty of beach chairs and the sea was lovely and warm Food and drink was plentiful all day long, and ice creams available all day as well.

Our teenage son came with us but as the hotel complex is very safe, there was no worries of him walking round on his own or getting bored as the teenage room has plenty of things to keep him occupied.

We will be returning next year to the same hotel, hopefully for two weeks and then we will be able to sample the local night life.

We have just returned from what was...

"We have just returned from what was promised to be a 5 star all inclusive allocation on arrival holiday in Turkey.

Initially disappointed and to be honest quite angry to be transported to the Hotel Hemera which in the brochure is 4 star.

Thomas Cook rep assured me that hotel Hemera now 5 star and at one in the morning too tired to argue.

However what a Hotel /the food is out of this world, good quality as much as you can eat and drink and provided by the most friendly and courteous of people.

The rooms are to a high standard clean and you really could not ask for more.

The staff are very hardworking and are eager for you to enjoy yourself. Most people English and others nationalities, we met in this hotel have visited more than once and I am not surprised.

The animator team is excellent with the kids and you have three restaurants to choose from you are spoilt for choice.

The pools and restaurant/s are really to a high standard and could not be faulted

The only issue the sunbeds lots of people getting up very early to secure bed by the pool and even if you do that, you are not secure in the knowledge that if you visit the restaurant, some kindly neighbour will not move your things, this is not the fault of the hotel but of their visitors

This is our first time on holiday to Turkey and without our teenagers .

We will go back and would not complain if it was this fantastic Hotel.

Visited this and other holiday review...

"Visited this and other holiday review sites before booking this hotel; surprisingly it did not get one bad report.

When we arrived we understood why.

The accommodation, food, service, were second to none. This full inclusive really means full inclusive. All the little extras that some hotels add were included, fruit on arrival, restocked mini bar in room, safety deposit boxes, ice creams for everyone, and all drinks including cocktails.

The only downside is getting a poolside sunbed if you are not up very early (yes the Germans are still at it).

Kids seem well catered for and there are plenty of activities available if you want, but why not have drinks served to you while you lounge on the private beach.

If you get the chance choose the Hemera, we were glad that we did!

One of the best hotels ever! We have...

"One of the best hotels ever!

We have only just got back, and stayed at the Hotel Hemera for two weeks, I can honestly say that this hotel has everything you could possibly want from a holiday.

Rooms were decorated to a high standard, and cleaned daily, towels, flannels and bath robes were replaced daily.

Food at the Hemera was fab - a lot better than other All inclusive hotels I have stayed in, choice of 3 al a carte restaurants, the beach bar, and international buffet - themed nights here were fab. I’m quite a fussy eater usually but managed to have 3 meals a day - if not more :) at the Hemera. Brill.

The animation team were also great - I don’t know how they work the hours they do and remain so lively and cheery, the entertainment was different more or less every night, and there was a good choice of activities to take part in throughout the day too.

Although we don’t have children - the kids at the resort seemed to be well entertained!

The hotel itself is situated in a great place - beach is fab. Few shops, bars, restaurants outside the hotel - others just a short taxi ride away. Shops and markets have a great range of leather bags, purses, shoes, designer clothes we really needed an extra case for all the things we brought back with us :)

Pools at the hotel were brilliant - there was four pools altogether, a huge family pool which really was HUGE, there was a large pool deeper than the others, a children’s pool with small slide, and an indoor pool, there were also two larger slides in the main pool - great fun whatever your age.

Everything at the Hemera is of an extremely high standard - I was amazed how spotless everything was, how friendly the staff were, how good the food was, and how much there was to see and do; it was also a fab place for chilling. Overall one of our best holidays - We will definitely be returning again.

- Only one downside - Germans get up TOO early for sunbeds - became a race to get up to get one which is a shame - can put up with this though as everything else is so great.
