Filthy Faulty Towers and what a noise from stagg parties

"I will never book another weekend in Bournemouth at this Hotel as the room was Dirty especially the carpets and we slept on top of the beds after spraying with Dettol,if you can sleep with all the noise from stag parties screaming all night in their rooms. You feel threatened by this as they are permitted to do exactly as they like. My 2 year old did not sleep a wink and nor did we. You have to pay to use the pool which is the best part of the hotel. Most staff are Eastern European and can't communicate. The only good point was the staff in the dinning room who were lovely to the baby. Please avoid like the plague and if you want a nice hotel the Durley Dean a mile away is far better in every respect. Totally ruined Mothers Day for my parner."

Only stayed for one night. The hotel...

"Only stayed for one night. The hotel is in the town centre and was very noisy at night with cars zooming past.

The room was ok nothing exciting but the staff were very polite and helpful.

The breakfast buffet was exceptional with a wide selection of fresh produce and I can honestly say it made up for the bad night.

As it was booked independently, I found the price was reasonable.

The hotel in general was abit dated but cannot fault the food and service offered by staff.

fab weekend

"we decided to travel up to whitley bay from manchester for a lads weekend and basically called the first place we found. upon arrival we were shown to our below average rooms with dirty showers and one room with no windows and a leaking roof. that being said, after a few beers in the bar the staff soon cheered us up and even took us to the local nightclubs on both nights of our stay. when we got back to the hotel we decided not to head up to our rooms but instead continued our nights in the 24 hr bar staffed by a cracking night porter who, along with the other bar staff, made our weekend. and because of that we would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a a great night out.

cheers vegas!

"Clatty,Clatty,Clatty. From the greasy hamburger van that stands at the hotel door to the moss and fungi that inhabits the baths and tea pots.

When you are on a "stag weekend" the ethos tends to be " your only here for two days" and this encourages you to accept a lot but I think the owner really rely on this mentality to much, and take it to the limit. The place does'nt need cleaning it needs to be sterilised .STAY AWAY

loved the new place

"we went to whitley bay for a night out and tryed the ambassador for a room. the staff were so helpfull and pleasent. the rooms were of a good standard and the food was very adaquate this being one of the older hotels in the area we were told it was under new ownership and a lot of investment was being put into the business and they appoligised for the inconvience if we had any disturbance.

they have just launched there new theme bar called bar vegas when we were there and its great fun and very reasonably priced compared to some of the bars around. overall we had a fantastic stay and hope any one else who stays there has the same great time

Didn't stay, it was so substandard

"I have to confess that we didn't actually stay here! On arrival we waited for some 20 minutes in reception before anyone appeared - the whole place was deserted. The aroma of old cooking fat was most off-putting. When we got our room key, we were faced with climbing several flights of stairs (no lift). At the top there was a bucket half full of water on the stairs, catching drips from a leak in the roof.

Our room was poorly furnished and had a well worn appearance. The bed was jammed against a wall in an alcove. The bathroom was small and somewhat dilapidated. Our conclusion was that the hotel badly needs a total refurbishment and is currently below acceptable standards. We returned the room key to reception and rebooked elsewhere.
