"Brits.... Avoid this hotel if possible. It,s not a very friendly place at all. A few of the staff were pleasant but ALL the guests were Spanish & so rude & ignorant. You are told to eat your breakfast off a tray ( thought we were in Mcdonalds) The evening meal was tasteless & very Spanish. We had friends staying in Magaluf who called in to see us & they said they felt so uncomfortable they wouldn,t call back. You have to pay 3 euros a day if you want british tv ( BBC1 & SKY NEWS) The only nice thing about this hotel was the view, it was overlooking the bay which was fab."

Good Hotel

"For a 2Star hotel it was good.Food was excelant, varied, and plentyful.Rooms are clean, and we had a bay veiw, so can't complain.

locks on doors could be better, so keep valuables safe.Although they might have renewed them, as we did complain about the locks.

All in all, good value for the money.

Some people want everything for nothing, so ignore them.

dont waste your money

"Have just spent six days at this Hotel. Three of these days no water one day no electricity so had to walk six flights of stairs. There was constant road works from 7am to 6pm outside our room and workers fitting windows during the day constantly banging. If you didn't go down for breakfast early it was cold. The staff were very rude and not helpful and if you complained they just laughed. The hotel was and apparently always is full of Spanish Pensioners and any Hotel entertainment was just for them.

The only good thing good about this Hotel is it is near the beach and not far from the bars but other than that steer clear of this Hotel your need another holiday to get over the stress of this one!

"had a wonderful stay at tobago, realy loved it. i was rather apprehensive before leaving as i read some negative reviews, but please dont let them put you off. you couldnt ask for a better hotel. yes downstairs could do with a bit of a lick of painnt and a few new sofas, but after a day or so you dont even notice. our room was spacious, clean modern, a view of palmanova that money couldnt buy. we spent hours sitting on the balcony marvelling at all the big yaughts in the bay and the water sports going on. maids were in every day with fresh towels, whiich is quite unusal for spain. staff were very helpful, food was good especialy the dinner, it was very well presented and plenty of choice. breakfast is just typical spanish breakfast what you expect from spain. but the best thing of all from this hotel is the fantastic location. shops beach bars prominade right on your doorstep, but quiet at night when you want to sleep. round the corner is magaluf, round the other corner is palmanova. the pool area is exellent, as your so near the beach the pool area is not over crowded, even in august. it has a lifeguard on at all times, and round the edge of pool is none slip. the only negatives i have to say is the lifts are a bit of a nightmare, one out of the two were always breaking. even once we got stuck in the lift. the other negative is, i wouldnt fancy taking a toddler there with the balcony, they could easily climb up a fall over, so be very carefull with small children. but all in all a marvellous holiday in a fantastic hotel. cant wait to go back."

The hotel is not very suitable for children with lots of gangs of male and females .The location was spot on just a 5 minute walk away from the shops and bars"

"We were slightly worried before we went here having read some poor reviews. It was by no means a 4 star luxury hotel, but then that was not what we had paid for. We went with our 2 and a hlf year old little girl and the staff at the hotel were very friendly towards her, and made us feel welcome. There were very good pubs/restaurants around especially the blue bar over the road from the hotel, the staff there were brilliant with our little one.

The view was excellent from our balcony, the weather was ok, no rain.

The food at the hotel was fairly good, it was much the same every night BUT it was edible.....

All in all a good holiday and value for the money we paid....

We would go back but at a different time of year as the hotel was full of Spanish pensioners on thier free holiday!!!!

"stayed at the togago 17-3-08 - 24-3-08. the hotel was full of spanish pensioners. we were not aware this was the free week holiday the spanish government give to them. their ignorance and dislike to foreigners was extemely obvious to all the family and other guests at the hotel. the entertainment was solely spanish. there is a tv in each room but you have to pay 3E each day to watch an english channel. the food was very poor. we ate out every day and just went there for tea in the morning. on the up side the view was beautiful and the rooms were cleaned every day. the guests are allowed to smoke everywhere even in the lifts so the hotel stank of cigerettes. i would not recommend this hotel to anyone as their is absolutely no entertainment available if the weather is not up to scratch."

"We were pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Tobago after getting a room overlooking the Bay then noticing how clean the room was we thought bargain. Ok it was February so mainly has Spanish guests but that was not a problem as we went out to two local bars the Prince William and the excellent Eastenders bar. Also for breakfast would recommend Miguel and Cheryls for excellently British cooked breakfast. We were on half board and only made breakfast once due to late arrivals back to the room hehe. The food was basic but well presented and certainly edible."

VACACIONES WIDE PLUS in association...

"VACACIONES WIDE PLUS in association with Gold Crown Resorts (allegedly)

On a rainy day in February and for want of something to do in the way of sport, we decided to have a bit of fun with the Holiday Scammers patrolling the Palma Nova resort. We were approached by a scruffy Brit from Brum who proceeded to scratch off a card revealing 3 sombrero's. He proclaimed to all around that we were the winners and were eligible for a free holiday. Great we thought what do we need to do to claim our prize?

The next morning (another rainy day or we wouldn't have bothered), we were escorted by the Brummy with BO to a slick looking office in Palma where we were introduced to a puff in a pink tie (no offence intended if Jonathan Ross can do it then so can I).

Camp Dave was goofy with FA cup ears and strutted his stuff around the office with as much gusto as Julian Clary on oestrogen.

Dave reported to Ben OBank or was it Ben O Bandit and whenever Puff in pink tie was flummoxed by one of our probing questions up shot his hand like 5 year old in class with the correct answer, to summon Mr O Bandit who was only 12 ish.

We were given a cup of tea and juice (still chucking it down outside by the way or we would have escaped) but we were having fun.

Suddenly a man came in from behind a closed door clutching a clipboard and made an announcement that Mr & Mrs Doobry from Southampton had just become the latest member. Everyone started to clap and cheer. This happened a further few times (just to try to convince us that someone else had parted with their cash and it was ok).

Anyway the presentation was relentless, over and over the same boring stuff. EVEN SUPPORTED BY THE LOCAL POLICE, they featured in the brochure they presented us with!

Cut to the chase we said, how much does it cost (membership of this exclusive club that promises to give you cheap holidays for life). You can then pass it down to your kids. HAHA.

We put the test on the internet through its paces asking to price up a holiday in Madagascar. Wah wah oops. No destination registered.

Brazil? Yep we were in luck but by the time we priced it up with the flights we could have got it cheaper on the internet.

They asked us for £6590 but then offered a discount down to £6540 plus a Caribbean holiday and a weeks holiday to Europe. Yippee - bargain. We asked them for a couple of minutes to discuss the offer which they obliged with. we muttered and giggled to each other until they came back and then promptly told them we were not interested thank you very much.

We got a free bottle of wine which we drank. Thanks guys for the entertainment and refreshment.

As we left the office (full of naiive British couples) all faced with their very own personal scammer up went the applause and another announcement that Mr & Mrs Smith from Vulnerable Town had just become their latest members. Was that us? we giggled.

Off we went into the rain to look for further entertainment.

Don't whatever you do get taken in by these people, they will ruin your holiday.

If it rains buy a brolly and go for a walk!! Or if you fancy the sport and are not gullible or easily persuaded in any way, Puff in pink tie and Ben O Bandit are good entertainment value.

Very good hotel for what we paid....

"Very good hotel for what we paid. Excellent location--stones throw from beach. Good Irish pub round corner, and shops nearby.

One massive downside----towns in this area are full of touts offering a scratch card scam for a free holiday. If stopped by them, say you’re unemployed, live on benefits or tell them to go away. They seem to understand that.

Great resort and boat trip recommended, but please don't get conned by touts

Excellent hotel and excellent...

"Excellent hotel and excellent location. Stayed here for a week and the food was great.

We had our daughter and grandson with us and they loved it, especially José the barman who kept our grandson entertained with his antics.

The hotel is on a bit of a slope but easily manageable and you can throw a stone to the beach.

The rooms are spacious and clean and have some really nice views from the balcony over the bay and beach.

All in all a great holiday and an excellent hotel.
