Situated in the north of Africa, Tunisia is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea in the north and east and Algeria to the west with much of the south of the country made up of the Sahara desert.

Like both Egypt and Morocco, Tunisia has become one of Africa's top tourist spots for both families and backpackers alike. Places such as Hammamet, Port El Kantaoui, and Skanes all offer long golden sandy beaches and clear blue sea. For those wishing to delve into Tunisia's rich historical past, the ruins at Carthage and the amphitheatre at El Djem are just some of the numerous sites of interest. For Star Wars fans there are tours to visit the film sets and locations used as backdrops in four of the films.

Tunisia offers year round sunshine and very mild winters. Summers are very hot and dry with temperatures known to reach up to 40°C
