Torremolinos is one of the most famous resorts in the Costa del Sol and is located only 12km West of Malaga airport. Torremolinos is a busy, loud resort with a fantastic nightlife, busy beach and great shopping, and is still being developed. The resort is hilly and there are lots or steps so is not recommended for those with walking difficulties.
There are many high rise hotels along the coastal road, mainly middle class 3* accommodation, most offering a good range of facilities. Torremolinos attracts mainly young holidaymakers and families with children. During the day activites are centred around the beach where watersports are available. There is also an enormous waterpark which is well worth a visit and an equestrian centre in the hills.
The beaches are wide, long and sandy and said to be some of the best in the Costa del Sol. Along the coast are many souvenir shops and eateries serving local and international cuisine.
