Holiday Watchdog: Sunny Beach Reviews
Sunny Beach is the most southerly of Bulgaria's Black Sea resorts, and lies approximately 90km from Varna airport and 30km from Bourgas airport. This is a purpose built resort developed along the coast, consisting of mainly large, modern hotels.
Sunny Beach is favoured by families with children, terrain is flat and the 8km long beach shelves gently into the sea. Watersports are available at the beach during high season. There is a good range of bars and nightclubs in the resort centre and a reasonable range of good value options for eating out with menus offering both local and international cuisine.
A minitrain runs through resort and is well priced and buses are available to nearby Bourgas, Nessebar and Elenite. Remember to only book local excursions through your tour operator. |
