Beach
- We used Seacrets in Stalida for the beach - 4 euros gave you 2 sunbeds, umbrella, table and 2 drinks. R Bar did great toastie and tea for 3.5 euros. traveltheworldgirl

- Eat at local restaurants, try as many of the local dishes as you can and when you're offered Raki after your meal drink it without pulling a face! yorkieWestYorks
- Make sure to go for a meal at Restaurant Creta on the main beach road in Stalis. Super food, great atmoshere and fabulous service and friendliness PearlgirlBanbridge
- go to Malia instead, for a more clubby night life. Stalis has resturants more suited for families. Portsmouth2010
- Try Marias Golden Beach for food, Themis bar for cocktails and Rhythm Bar for nightlife. Visit a Cretan night, ride the happy train. ClevelandSunny

- Shop around if you want to buy any gold rings. We got stung when buying a ring outside Knossos Palace. The prices and quality in Stalis are better. Pierreve
