Travellers' top tips for St Helier
Beach
- get a bus pass for the day and visit as much of the island as you can. Take in the Jersey War Tunnels,Elizabeth Castle and some of the lovely beaches. BillyWhizz1980
- Go to the victorian swimming pool on the beach Gravydavey_10
- Go to the pub at the "DEVILS HOLE" sit outside on a nice sunny day and have pint or two and good grub too. JAZ218
- At least have lunch at the Olive Branch & go see the underground hospital. ZigandZeb
- make sure to go out on the nightlife its brilliant Unknown92
- Take a street map as it it very easy to get lost, until you find your bearings. Do not expect much nightlife in the weeek, lots of traffic. leather
- Visit the Pasty Shop at Liberty Wharf. Great pasties! derekwhite
- Don't expect to shop on a Sunday! nbache
- Go to the zoo. Not really my thing but really enjoyed it. Its not too expensive. Also the war tunnels, great to visit if weather bad. missmelodyCheshire
- Take a trip to the Durrell Wildlife Park on the local bus! A trip out to Elizabeth Castle on the 'ferry with wheels' is a must on a sunny day!! TravelLight69
