There could be no more appropriate name for a Georgian country manor so entirely shrouded in fragrant roses snuggled in its own 11-acre valley. Situated just outside the charming village of Mithian, one of the oldest in Cornwall, and built in the 1760s as a winter residence for a tin mine captain, this is a truly tranquil sport. The 18 bedrooms include the Rose Suite and many have four poster or draped king-size beds. The larger rooms can accommodate families and there are some ground floor rooms for guests needing level access. All are decorated attractively in pretty, English country house style fabrics.
