Samos Holidays

Located in the north-eastern part of the Aegean Sea, the Greek island of Samos is separated from the Turkish mainland, at one point, by a distance of just over a mile.

The main resorts on the island are Votsalakia and Pythagorio in the south-west and Samos Town in the north-west. The numerous beaches that can be found spread out around the island come in many variations from golden sand alongside calm seas enjoyed by families, to shingle beaches with rougher waters for those keen on watersports. For sightseeing opportunities there is the Tunnel of Eupalinos, the Temple of Hera and the Panagia Spiliani Monastery.

As with all islands in the Mediterranean hot weather is abundant during the summer months with very little rain. The temperatures begin to slowly fall around the end of September heading into October.
