A superb gîte situated in a stone-built hamlet in the Castagniccia mountains. Saliceto, is a little stone-built hamlet of medieval origin tucked away far up a river valley northeast of Corte. The charming Simonpietris family, who run the only wool-gathering and home-knitting business on the island, have recently converted a house on the very tip of Saliceto's bedrock, into a lovely 'gîte': A Turaccia.
