We have, on occassion, asked to be moved due to road noise/machinery noise and this has always been accommodated without any fuss (even at 1am). We spent two nights of our holiday listening to the bang and crash as the ship was rolled from side to side. People who regularly cruised were sea sick (what does this tell you) and on the whole the experience was not worth a couple of £200, if that. We sayed at La Pinta to weeks from New Year 2009. This is a good hotel, and this is our second stay here. We have had the same room both times, with the great sea and sunset view. The hotel was lovely and clean, the rooms were cleaned daily. The staff were accomadating and friendly. The food was slightly repetative, but so is mine at home.
