Beach
- Busy Spanish port, don't go for the beaches although there are small man-made areas. Di G
- ...don't expect sandy beaches or cloud-free skies! ...do get to go to Mount Teide, Masca and the north end of the island. Trevor046
- Go to Regulo restaurant- excellent for fish and Tenerifian dishes, in an old house full of antiques. Bootess
- Try out some the many bars and resturants hidden away up tiny streets. M.Grainger
- It is quiet place and very hilly.It really suits an older couple as there isn't much night life. Transport with buses and taxis is good. janetmills

- Loro Parque is a "must". Walking in town centre, so colourful - the buildings, museums, fishing port, cafes, souvenir shops, live music in the evening MSJV
- Most shops and bars etc speak English but don't be afraid to try a little Spanish jolacruz
