Situated on a gentle slope just above the little north coast village of Maia, the Solar de Lalém enjoys delightful views over the village to the sea and towards hills. The oldest part of the hotel, a small chapel dedicated to São Sebastião, dates back as far as 1687, whilst the main building in its present form was completed in the mid-19th century.
