Les Charmettes is like a tiny smartly run city, with lots of people bustling around, a sense of purposeful activity and a well run reception at the hub of it all. Yet strangely it also manages to feel quite peaceful. One of the team members put this down to the cunning way that the mobile homes are arranged, in small round florets (rather than in rows) screened with tall hedges. It means more seclusion and no through traffic. Very clever.
Whether your family is sports-mad or prefers more gentle exercise, there is plenty for you to choose from. The parc team organise nature walks in the forest where you can spot deer and foxes. For the more energetic, there is football coaching plus a range of games on the brand new multi-sports pitch.
