- Hire some form of transport. Visit Ammos restaurant, the food is fantastic. Wear something on your feet while on the beach. mrtn44
- Visit Vilhada harbour, walk up the beach unil you cannot go sny further, and then take the road (use a local tour map to help you find it). Lovely! EmsworthAngel

- enjoy the atmosphere in the seaside restaurants a few metres away from the hotel -although the hoptel was in a quiet area with good views of the coast WilliamIIII
- Take comfy shoes although there are bars nearby most of nightlife is in Perissa and can be a bit of a hike in hot weather karenandbecs
- Great resturants along the strip, nightlife at the weekends all day. acdw2007
- Shop at the supermarket on the main road heading towards Emporio. Walk to the harbour at Vlichada (approx. one hour's walk)- lovely tavernas there. EmsworthAngel
- are ready for a walk to find a shop thats not going to charge you "tourist" prices, the big co-op as its called is definately worth the walk phattyplasma
- wear lots of sunblock and pack water shoes. The climate is desert like and the black sand is HOT and rocky. lovetrish
