Beach
- make sure you have an up to date bus timetable (to be found at the final beach stop behind the church underneath the cliff) pgwLondon
- Bring water shoes - the beach is beautiful, but the black sand (gravel) gets very hot. Flintstone1234

- eat at Ntomatini Restaurant teepees
- You must go to the beach and return at night for the night life and the restaurants, especially "The Best" by Cristo for good food and service! trisa3

- Rent a car and drive around the entire island. There are several places on both sides of the island that offer beautiful scenery and shopping. saradennison
- walk all the way down the from Perissa to Agios Georges. It's loaded with cafes, shops, and restaurants. Enjoy! mgriser
- You walk up to ancient Thira 369m above sea do it early as gets hot good views from the top. Stop at the church built on the side of the rock. bellaHolt
- Buy a pair of beach shoes as the sand is very hot...be prepared for the hoards of annoying people offering to give massages and selling their wares. suzan4
