Palma Nova Holidays
Fellow travellers say Palma Nova is great for…
Just south of Palma de Mallorca, the capital city of Mallorca, lies Palma Nova, one of the first purpose-built tourist resorts to spring up on this Balearic Island. A mecca for those seeking package holiday deals, Palma Nova was once a stand-alone resort, but over time the surrounding coastline has been developed to the point where it is impossible to tell where one resort ends and another begins. Its closest neighbour is the more renowned resort of Magaluf, but that has not stopped Palma Nova growing into a major holiday destination among Europeans.
Package holidays in Palma Nova offer everything you would expect when visiting one of the islands in the Mediterranean. At the heart of it is a fantastic beach for sunbathing, or if you’re feeling more adventurous, you can take part in one of the many coastal activities on offer; choose from the likes of kite surfing, jet skiing and speed boat rides to name just a few. Glass bottom boats leave the marina every day, as do organised fishing trips. Your kids will love the mini-golf course in the resort, but if you want to play the real thing, there are also a number of full size18-hole golf courses within 10 km of Palma Nova.
When you spend your holidays in Palma Nova, you are by no means only limited to the activities on offer in the resort. The bustling capital of Palma de Mallorca is a great day out, steeped in history and has numerous attractions to visit. For instance, Castell de Bellver, a 14th century castle set atop a hill towering over the city, is one of its most visited landmarks. Magaluf is a short drive from Palma Nova, where there are two fantastic water parks - Aqualand and Western Water Park - to enjoy. Magaluf also has plenty of bars and clubs, so if you are in the mood for a night out, this is the place to go.
