- Go to the wine caves and taste Port wine. Grab dinner in the ribeira. Take a stroll along the beaches. gol19
- go to Matusinhos (ask the taxidriver) for a nice seafood dinner. It's around 15 minutes away for €10 - €15 Michelexyz
- Go to the restaurant at the Taylors port destillery. The views are amazing - the food is average batravn
- Walk the city, shop , cross the Douro and visit the Port lodges . Take the train up the Douro to Pinhao- spend a night at the Vintage House AllanCLOndonUK
- buy some port wine. Also walk the city and see the old bookshop, the market hall, have a coffee and something to eat in their oldest café. Mafie_53
